Best hot dog stand I have ever been to. Guy is a true professional. Clean, cheap, efficient during the lunch rush, and great hot dogs. What more could you want?

This guy is great. Right across from my job, he is there everyday rain or shine. In lower Manhattan you can pay 3 or 4 times as much for the same item.

He is definitely the best around here, great prices and great service, the guy around the corner on Liberty charges twice the price to all of the tourists.

On July 4th, I finally got a hotdog here after having walked past it countless times. For $ 1.75, it’s probably the cheapest food option around. The hotdog was good, I topped it with cheese and chili, so it came out to 2.25 or something close to that… Taste was as a hotdog should taste, nothing more and nothing less. The guy has been at this cart for years and seems really nice, so if you’re ever in the mood for a hotdog, this would be the place to get one because it is the only hotdog cart in the area.

Yes it is a real mom and pop stand and yes they grill their dogs and yes it’s cheap. $ 1.75 for grilled. But c’mon its just run of the mill in the taste department.

as others have noted, this is basically the only cheap lunch option on this side of the highway in the entire Battery Park City /WFC area… if you have 4 bucks or less, you’re either brownbagging it, or eating here… the hot dogs are indeed grilled and great… my favorite thing about this place is the chili. Chilidogs are not really something you see a lot of in NYC(well up until all the fugazi papaya knockoffs started selling them 10 years ago), and this is the only hot dog cart i know of that has ‘em… the chili tastes ALOT like the chili at Blvd Drinks in Jersey City, which is to say it has chopped onions in it, no beans, possibly no meat, and is really spicy… if you’re stuck in Battery Park and with limited funds(and honestly, unless you hate hot dogs, most of the pizza, sandwiches, and other under 10 dollar lunch options aren’t worth your while), this is the place…

I am not a big fan of Hot Dogs but had to try one from a cart wile in NYC to get the full experience. This place made me understand what a good hot dog tastes like.

I’ve been coming here for YEARS and it’s never changed. Still the best hot dogs I know of in NYC and for peanuts! Get them grilled, they’re snappy like a Nathan’s. Throw in a knish and a soda and you’re still lunching for $ 5 or less! Plus it’s truly a Mom and Pop kind of operation and they’re there year round without fail. It pains me to see a tourist fall for a dirty water dog somewhere else when they can walk a block and have this.

Might be the cheapest eats in the area. Great for people like myself trying«not» to spend 10 bucks for lunch«EVERYDAY». Get your dog grilled with onions(if that’s your thing) its delicious.

that is one bad ass dog! you can get them grilled which makes it all the more yum! he has onions in some sauce that is so good and he keeps crushed red pepper at the stand to spice it up! what more could you ask for from $ 1.50 dog!

While in NYC I tried a few hot dog stands and this was the best. They really, really use Sabrett Hot Dogs. I don’t think they all do.hmm. This guy grills them and they taste nice and smokey and don’t forget cheap! If I wasn’t in San Francisco I would be here eating a Hawt Dawg!

One of the best hot dog carts in NYC. The grilled hot dogs are delicious and you can’t beat the price.

TASTYHOTDOGSFORCHEAP This hot dog cart is located right outside of the Chase Bank, across the street from 1 World Financial Plaza. The items I have ordered here on numerous occasions are: — grilled hot dog — — grilled hot sausage — — grilled knish — The grilled is definitely +1 over the dirty water hot-dogs. Go for grilled. Both the hot dog and sausage has some nice char and is very tasty. I like the knish here because the inside is fluffy and HOT while the outside has a bit of a crunch from being on the grill.

i work downtown at the WFC, and whenever i’m broke(which is pretty much every thursday — i don’t know why either), i head over to this hotdog stand just outside the chase bank on south end ave, near the marina. $ 1.25 for an excellent grilled dog that rivals any of those papaya places. super-friendly and efficient husband-and-wife team ensures that the long line moves fast. grab 2 hotdogs and a soda(~$ 4), and go have lunch by the water on a nice sunny day. and then maybe have some gelato from the nearby ciao bella(inside the winter garden) afterwards. perfect.
