Great Wen Zhou food! Lots of great cold appetizers. Convenient location with parking spaces in front.

This restaurant is the worst ever. The environment is poor, the server is so annoying. They even put away dishes that customer left on the table. Don’t ever thinking about to try it, not worth at all!

Pretty decent selection, generous portions and it has a nice ready to go selection too. The prices are very good! It’s my go too place when I’m in the area.

We work in the area and decided to try some«authentic» food, especially since the reviews were favorable. Big mistake! We ordered take-out and it was not good. The sauteed cabbage with mushrooms was watery, and the fried spare ribs were cold as though they had just been taken from the refrigerator. The Sichuan chicken with Chili sauce was full of chicken bits with bones covered with hot peppers. We never did receive the fried rice. When we questioned it, one staff person became rather unpleasant. The whole experience was disappointing as we have had great food and service in this area. The only upside was that it was fairly inexpensive. Never again!

Had catered food from this place. The food is on point. Not sure what is the cost as I didnt pay for it. Further research is required. Off the beaten path and I usually wouldnt come here. I walked past this place as I visit my doctor. Low foot traffic. I should dine in one time and give an update. Catering wise, food is good.

We ordered take-out from here. This restaurant is predominantly take out. They had some pre-made cold food selection which looked interesting. Singapore chow fun– I didn’t really like it. It tasted very«MSG». I know it is in most food, but I don’t want to literally taste it. Shrimp fried rice– It was flavorful with a decent amount of shrimp and lots of eggs. I love fried rice with lots of eggs.

This place is quite small, seemingly family owned, serving Wen Zhou delicacies at a decent price. I had the Wen Zhou pumpkin noodles and the Wen Zhou mixed noodles. They arent the best noodles I’ve had in the world, but they are definitely unique and worth a try. They also have side dishes you can buy and take to go.

This place is no joke. It definitely would not appeal to the majority of Unilocalers. Strictly for connoisseurs.

First, a story: I was supposed to meet a friend for dim sum but it didn’t happen. I was walking back home on College Point Blvd. and very hungry when I saw this place. It is next to a Dunkin Donuts in a very nondescript building housing a few other storefront businesses. When I walked in I immediately recognized a guy sitting at one of the tables as the former owner of a very good Chinese restaurant I used to frequent when I lived in the East Village! We talked for awhile and he explained a few dishes. To me, the fact that he was there lent a lot of credibility to this place. His good friend owns this restaurant. It is safe to call this restaurant a hole-in-the-wall, but with no disrespect to its cleanliness and food prep. It is a very small restaurant with a few tables and a buffet of hot and cold food. Nothing to really catch your eye to say«I must eat here.» I think the restaurant is fairly new. Although I am no connoisseur of Chinese cuisine I got the sense that this is not one of the many places that caters to American’s ideas of what Chinese food is; this is authentic. I had a dish of fish fillet with vegetables and mushrooms and white rice. It was EXCELLENT. The flavors were wonderful and had a buttery taste, with the white meaty fish being fresh. There was a lot of fish in the dish. Soup came with it. The total price was only $ 5.50! The food was 5 stars. I’m giving it an overall 4 stars only because of the ambiance of the place — I may come back to Unilocal in a few months and bump it up to 5 stars. I will definitely be returning to this place again and again. They deliver.
