Terrible experience. I don’t know how they have so many positive reviews! The person taking my x-rays tripped on a cord which was attached to my mouth, causing me to bleed. Ok, that was an accident. But then for the cleaning –the hygienist was literally the worst I have ever had. So bad I had to ask them to stop — she was squirting water EVERYWHERE. way more than the usual amount that comes with a cleaning. Then, Dr. Nogid got me another hygienist who barely did anything. He looked only at the ton of x-rays they took to tell me I have good teeth(didn’t look in my mouth once). A year later, I am trying to get access to my x-rays for a new dentist. I very politely was trying to explain my situation, and the receptionist budded in saying«you have to call back after 2;30pm». I asked why, and she just said«its lunch». At this point, I don’t think I’ll likely get my x-rays and am no longer taking the high road by refraining from spreading the word of how terrible this business is.

Dr. Nogid is a good man, a family man. In fact, his daughter Elana is a practicing dentist in his office. She is a specialist. Her own father told me to hold off my procedure until she returned from maternity leave because she was so adapt at extractions/implants. The staff at his office perform admirably at putting a patient at ease. Expect a lot of jokes. I was taken aback at first, but before long I was in on the fun! So flash forward 6 weeks and I’m back for my big procedure. Elana was polite and informative. The best part was that after a cursory examination and some prodding she informs me that it would be in my best interest to hold off on the procedure because the tooth was holding its own very well. I was so happy. The office of Dr. Henry Nogid is governed by a spirit of warmth and integrity. Maybe another dentist would have performed the unnecessary procedure, collected their fee and pat you on the back. I am happy to have found this practice and I intend to belong to it for so long as I have teeth.

I agree with the other Unilocal review. They do not care much for those on Medicaid. Medicaid pays them less hence the lack of care. Overall they are good people and extremely funny. They answer your questions if you have any.

I’ve been on Medicaid for about a year after being on my own private insurance for 30+ years. I can’t help but notice the dramatic change in care I now receive. Went in for a cleaning/oral exam. The«exam» lasted about 18 seconds, after Dr. Nogid tried to put his hands in my mouth with gloves that he walked into the room wearing, used the computer and scratch his mouth and nose with. I then received the quickest«cleaning» of my life. The«polishing» part lasted about 35 seconds. This is clearly another place that only takes medicaid patients to take advantage of them. More of us need to speak up and stop these scumbags from defrauding our taxpayers. I can’t wait until I am completely healthy again and can return to work and get decent health coverage again.
