I needed a local mechanic to check out a used car I hoped to buy. One of the mechanics agreed to look over it and let me know if there were any issues. He raised it and thoroughly checked it out (as far as I could tell; I’m no expert!). He pointed out a few minor issues and gave me a quote if I wanted him to work on it. He charged me $ 60 and said it would count toward the work if I came back. Overall, I was satisfied with his inspection and quick work.

I can’t believe I’m the first to review this business which was established more than 40 years ago. Hans has long since passed away, and Al, his head mechanic, who took over running the shop for him just recently passed. It’s now in the very capable hands of Sylvia, Hans’s widow and the team. I’ve been coming here since 1971 and recommending them to countless friends and family who have stayed loyal customers. It’s hard to find a great mechanic in this city and to find an honest one to boot is almost impossible.
