Good tasty food I had lamb over rice. White sauce and hot sauce in foil paper. I love 53rd and 6th even though the rice and chicken quality has gone down in years lamb is still ok. I asked for the lamb to be chopped up very smallhe did like minced lamb just like 53rd. The white sauce decent hot sauce ok but I love super spicy. I had some left over 53rd and 6th white sauce and hot sauce omg I poured it on it tasted like old halal guys from like ten years ago I def don’t mind walking the few blocks for the food even without 53rd sauce that was just super bonus experiment went right. Not sure what the price was before but the platter was $ 6. I’m not sure if that matters to anyone

My first time out in New York and I only had 1 day. I was told by multiple people to get chicken over rice at a Halal Cart, so we made this our last meal of the day around 11pm(one of many meals that day). It was soooooooo good!!! If I was drunk it would’ve been even more heavenly than it already was. The guy who worked the cart was super nice and chatted with us. We got both the white sauce and spicy sauce. We handed him a $ 5 bill since we saw everywhere else was $ 5 and his cart didn’t list prices, but he said it was $ 6 so we dug for a $ 1 but no luck, so I gave him a $ 20. I guess he didn’t want to give us change or whatever it was but he gave us the food for $ 5. We ate on some steps across the street and holy crap it was AMAZING. The rice was flavorful, the chicken was juicy and tender, and that sauce was so fucking good!!! We cleaned off the box in no time. I wish I could’ve shipped some back to California!

Chicken and rice is so freaking gooddddddddd. Well it better be good because I’m sacrificing all those calories for it. This cart is located right outside penn station. The guy is super attentive and you can adjust your white sauce and hot sauce intake because he asks you how much you want. The saffron rice is super flavorful. The chicken could be a bit more crisp but I really can’t complain. Street food is street food.

Not bad… but not better than The Halal Guys. This cart was close to my hotel and because I had a late craving for halal and didn’t feel like walking or taking a train to 53rd, I decided to try this cart out. I ordered the chicken over rice with white ANDBARBECUE sauce. It was damn good! I noticed they use whole peppercorn in their rice which gave it a lil more kick. Not bad… not bad!

This is a solidly decent halal cart. Don’t eat at the crap places in Penn Station. Walk up the escalator near track 15 east, and make yourself happy. We always leave time when transferring Amtrak trains to stop and get a spicy, filling, cheap lunch/dinner here. Last week, as a large thunderstorm swooped by overhead, we cowered under its little metal awning, salivating as the kind man prepared our platters. We ate it standing in front of the board in the main hall of Penn Station. Classic.

Not bad, meat wasn’t craved off the skewer and happened to be a bit dry. The one thing I cannot understand and maybe an East Coast thing but why do they put LETTUCE on the gyros… a traditional wrap is, meat, sauce, toms & onion!!! And the other negative, you have to bring your own cup for beverages.

This cart is awesome! Lots of regulars come to this cart. It’s cheap, fresh, plentiful. Gyros, chicken over rice — delish!

The BEST freaking Halal Cart around. Juicy, flavorful chicken, delicious yellow rice(I think it’s saffron) and beautifully greasy(but not in the artery clogging way). The stuff is even good freezing cold out of the fridge.
