Excellent, excellent gyro. The ingredients were fresh and the lamb was juicy and cooked perfectly. The service was friendly. Most importantly, the guys cart and utensils were clean. The price is definitely right. I think we paid $ 5.50 for a gyro and a bottle of water. Like the previous poster said, they’re messy, but delicious, so get some extra napkins and find a good place to hide while you devour the little bit of heaven you’re holding in your hand. A quick note: the gentleman running the cart saw me give away my unopened bottle of water to a homeless man who asked for money for a drink. As soon as the homeless person walked away, he came over and gave me another bottle of water free of charge. Not much, but I thought it was a nice gesture that he didn’t have to do.

I don’t bother to know its name. It’s that cart at 31st/8th ave Penn Station entrance, across 31st st to a bbq restaurant. It’s my first find after relocated to NYC. Special day, that was. Lamb gyro is my favorite. Lamb is juicey, flavorful, topped with creamy sauce + spicy sauce. It’s a mess to eat, so i suggest hiding your face from passbys when dive into these $ 4 gyros. Yum! It’s a shame I can only fit one in my belly at a time.
