Haagen-Dazs Shop

This review is 80% biased because I freaking love Haagen-​Dazs ice cream however, I did leave this place with a bit of sticker shock. I didn’t know they had cup sizes smaller than small (of course they don’t tell you that but the cups are TINY). I paid almost $ 8 for the smallest cup of ice cream I’ve ever seen but then again it comes with the territory of South Street Seaport. The ice cream was good though so I guess it was worth it…

Staff with attitude…, asking for a sample it’s like asking for a limb…& to all the tourists out there watch ouf; they will over charge you

My coworkers and I had such a wonderful experience here! Steven helped us out and let us have as many samples as we like. He gave us great recommendations. He was patient and family and wonderful! and of course, the ice cream was delicious. Will definitely be back!

After some friends and I finished gorging ourselves at Shmorgasburg we stopped in for a tasty little dessert.
Décor: There isn’t much to the shop, basically a menu and a refrigerated case full of delicious ice cream. There are a few seats if you’d prefer to sit but I can’t imagine anyone does. It’s a very clean place though.
Bathroom: unknown, probably not for customers
Staff: The cashier was very friendly and nice.
Food: We mostly got ice cream bars (all were very tasty, but a bit on the small side — wish they were larger) but one of us had a shake (tasty).
Value: For the size of the bars I’d like to see prices a little bit cheaper.
It’s a good stop where you cannot go wrong grabbing a small dessert after eating an actual meal nearby.

Great spot to grabs cone and walk along water. In the hustle of seaport. I recommend doing the midnight cookie and cream if you like chocolate

Disingenuous counter staff! I asked for a regular cone and the staff gave me a waffle cone without saying it cost a dollar more. She handed over the ice cream and then asked for payment. Only when I asked why it cost a dollar more, then she said it was a wafer cone and cost more. With the ice cream already in my hand, I had no choice but to pay.
It’s only a dollar, but really the tactics employed by the staff is more than deceitful and takes the joy out of having an ice cream.
