Pretty much all you can ask for in a dry cleaning facility: they’re quick, the prices are reasonable, the people are friendly enough, and they take credit cards. Being as close to Bloomies as they are they get a lot of business from employees which tells me it’s pretty solid since competition is stiff in this neck of the woods. Fan!

I absolutely love this cleaners. I was recommended here by a Bloomingdales associate after purchasing some jeans and a dress which needed to be tailored. so i gave it a try. They have same day service which is awesome, price was fair. And they did an awesome job specially with the original hem.

I have been going to Lowy on and off for years. Bloomingdales recommended them for doing original hems on my Citizen of Humanity jeans 8 years ago(when spending close to $ 200 on jeans seemed obscene). They did a terrific job. Most recently the hubby went in with his new Burberry wool coat(yes I am a wonderful and generous wife!!) to have the sleeves taken up. As expected, Lowy did a great job. If you have expensive clothing that you are afraid to give to your local tailor, Lowy is the place to go!

I’ve use these guys since the day a Bloomingdales associate recommended them(I think they send a lot of business their way) for a pair of jeans. Highly impressed with the work and friendly employees. They also renovated the building recently but its still the same friendly family running the business.

Date: 04/30/2011 Re-attach the original hem, please! I dropped off a pair of Joe’s Jeans this Saturday afternoon. The cashier quoted $ 22 to hem jeans… Gosh, I do not remember the price being this outrageous a year or so ago! The store front definitely renovated since I had my pair of True Religion jeans hemmed… I used to get Seven jeans hemmed(with the original bottom re-attached) at Saks Fifth in Stamford, CT. I believe the prices at Saks Fifth were under $ 20, but the quality of the workmanship does not compare to Lowy’s. I did all kinds of internet search to look for tailors that re-attach the original hem… Finally, my old roommate recommended Lowy’s, and bingo! I think I found my tailor in NYC(although no one can compare to my tailor back in MD). According to my roommate, even associates at Bloomingdale’s would send clients to Lowy’s.

I havent gotten back my drycleaning yet so I can’t tell you whether or not they do a good job, but they sure do charge an arm and a leg to dryclean a sweater! $ 9! thats A LOT! After getting back my dry cleaning — they did an ok job. Not coming here again. I think they’re much better with the tailoring since thats what most people are coming in from. Expect to cough up some $$
