Yummy spot to grab some desert. The gentlemen behind the counter were very nice and generous with the samples. The place is very clean and they have indoor seating if you want to hang out while you eat. Make sure to mix your flavors so you get even more deliciousness in your little cup! We split a hot chocolate and holy moly was it good! Most people probably could not finish a whole one because it is just that rich and decadent. It’s a great treat on a chilly evening.

Grom is the only gelato place in NYC that actually reminds me of Italy, to the point where I kinda get weird deja vus whenever I eat here. Chocolate is by far my favorite flavor, but they have so many others that I’m sure there are great ones that I haven’t tried. The one thing that definitely does NOT remind me of Italy, though, is the price — whereas gelato might run you 1 – 2 euros there, you’re probably looking at $ 6 – 7 here. It’s not crazy compared to other NYC desserts, just hard not to notice relative to the original.

Maybe it’s just me but paying a minimum of $ 5.50 for a shot glass sized ice cream just doesn’t seem worth it. The ice cream is good but not much better than ice cream you would buy in the store. The flavors seemed fairly pretentious and frankly weren’t too interesting.

Summer staple. The line can get crazy at times but it’s totally worth it. It’s delicious and has that fresh taste!

I forgot how expensive and small the portions are at Grom. Stopped by here after brunch last week and was torn between the gelato and the fruit sorbets. Anyway, the only reason I gave this place three stars is because there are so many good gelato and sorbet places in New York nowadays that it’s not worth coughing up $ 5+ at a chain store

Really great gelato and hot chocolate. Not a ton of gelato flavor options although i did find there to be a lot of hot chocolate options. Line is long but moves quick. People are friendly & prices are a bit steep.

Vanilla gelato and tiramisu gelato are delicious. Great flavors like hazelnut caramel, and lemon ginger sorbet! A bit pricey. 14.50 for two medium size, but the ice cream was way more filling than I expected

Great service, fabulous gelato, wonderful hours, etc. I LOVE this place. Always clean & exceptionally friendly staff. Great flavors. This place is pure gelato goodness.

This is decent, but not terribly amazing, gelato. The flavors are good, and the biscuit you can get with your order is quite good. The three star rating reflects the fact that it’s simply not memorable.

Best Pistachio gelato ever! I can’t help comment on other flavors. Every single time I go here, it’s just been the Pistachio gelato and it’s still so damn great. As good as it gets!

Solid flavored gelato. Also like their freshly made whipped cream. Not cheap though — 7.25 for a socalled«medium» small cup. But the price matches the general level of Greenwich as you know!

Upgrading my review. I had the best mango and chocolate gelato ever here. It’s a bit expensive, but if you pick your flavors right, you can have a magical experience.(Ask for a taste!) They are well balanced in creaminess and stay true to the flavor without being over sugary.

One of the best ice creams in town. I do prefer Amorino better but Grom is a top 5 choice specially for their sorbets which I think are better than the cream ones. The chocolate is superb and the raspberry is just perfect. Super refreshing flavors with a dense taste that satisfies you with just one scoop. Two thumbs up!

Nocciola! So smooth, so creamy and oh so hazelnutty! And for sure some of the best gelato I’ve had in nyc. I’m taking away one star for the non-enthusiastic staffers working on the day I visited. No smiles when we walked up, in fact I’m not even sure they greeted us. And I could barely hear the guy when he told me what my total was. It’s like they hate gelato! Is that even possible? Anywayyy… get to Grom, and get a scoop of nocciola!

Grom serves a variety of wonderful and delicious flavors. I usually gravitate towards fruity flavors so I ordered the peach gelato and it was deliciously refreshing for a hot summer night. I subtracted a star because my friend and I ordered the same size, yet she got served more gelato than I did when we paid the same price. The gelato is also on the pricier end and for the amount I was given, I feel like I would resort to other gelato place instead…

Their ice cream is amazing! We had a wonderful summer experience here despite the fact that the cream on top of my ice cream(large cone with three scoops) kept sliding off and fell on my face, hair and chest multiple times… Lol Other than that, the line was long when we got there but it goes by fast. They have a lot of seating available(tables and chairs) and it’s considered outdoors but with a roof. The employees are very friendly and work at a fast-pace. I ordered the ice cream and paid the cashier once it was made and given to me(the one who made mine was also my cashier). The flavors I tried were pistachio, apricot and cherry. All of them were amazing and I recommend these flavors but cannot wait to come back again to try more. This time I will not request the added cream on top to avoid another hot mess.

Weird name, but after having their gelato, I am a fan. There isn’t much to say, it’s just… great gelato. Something I haven’t tasted before. I wish they were available outside of NY. Hopefully somewhere in ATL. lol

3.5 stars. Not the most attractive name in English, but they do make some good gelato and as always, gelato really hits the spot on the warm/hot summer nights. It is kinda cool that they have franchises all over the world(mainly Italy), and that it made its way to New York. That being said, these prices are pretty crazy. $ 5.25 for a small is a bit much for a single serving, but sometimes you just can’t say no, and gelato is pretty much expensive everywhere in the city. Il Laboratorio is only a little cheaper, but I think I enjoy the texture of the gelato at Grom a little better. Best are the nocciola(hazelnut) and the pistachio. I often do the Nutella knockoff, which is the the nocciola and the cioccolato fondente(dark chocolate), and it is pretty darn good. Yeah, the Italian words can be a little confusing, but I enjoy the challenge. The open space is pretty cool, and in the winter, the hot chocolate also really hits the spot. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but if you’re in the area, definitely stop by if you’re hankerin’ for it.

I’ve never liked Grom and I still don’t. The gelato texture is too soft, and I don’t really like the flavor. The granita siciliana is better, I like the tart, sweet lemon flavor more. The icy coldness of the sorbet is more enjoyable. The server wasn’t that nice either.

OMG. I recently had the hazelnut hot chocolate from here and it was THE most delectable, luscious and satisfying hot chocolate I’ve ever spent $ 7 on. So. Good. If you like your hot chocolate like you like a stiff cocktail, this is the place for you. The whipped cream aka chunk of whip cream is soooo good with the hot chocolate. Perfect for a cold wintery night in NYC!
