Very cheap place to eat with good portion and tasty. I highly recommend it if your in NYC it’s located in Chinatown

A chinatown staple. Also a much needed pit stop before heading home after a night out. Cash only, food is prepared quickly. The food can be greasy but it will help with your morning hangovers.

Hands-down, this place offered the tastiest, most flavorful Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. And the prices cannot be beat. What a find!

I’ve been coming to Noodle Town for about two years now for only one thing; salt and pepper pork chops. Easily the best I’ve ever had. However their service seems to deteriorate with each visit. I usually only come with my girlfriend who introduced me to the place. But this past weekend I was with friends who were in town and thought of showing them the place. While much of the servers are nice and cordial(to a degree), there’s always one who is worse than the others. This weekend, this server decided to raise his voice in a sarcastic tone when we wanted to order more drinks. I asked for a 3 ginger ales for myself and two others, and he quickly disappeared to fetch the drinks without asking anyone else at the table if they’d like anything to drink. When he returned, my 2 other friends who had not ordered a drink attempted to do so. It must’ve ticked him off so much that we wanted to order more drinks, he yelled sarcastically«Does anyone else want more soda?» I was appalled. A gentleman at the table with us tried to assure us that at a place like this, you must make a trade off on service. But I just couldn’t that night. I could usually care less for service, as long as the food is good and your generally polite. You’ll get a tip. But after the same server tried to rush us out of the place, I had enough. I refused to tip. As did the friends I was there with. While we were paying at the front, the server stalked us to see if we were going to tip, and after it was clear that we weren’t, he began belligerently badgering us, and ended up snatching a 5 $ bill out of my friend’s hand. Noodle town is well known for its great cuisine, and I cannot agree anymore. Unfortunately, their service is atrocious. And while I usually won’t allow poor service to prevent me from returning to a place so long as the food is good, I just can’t see myself ever returning to a place with such a lack of common decency.

Came here after drinking my arse off and lemme say, this is a damn good place to come after you are drunk and it’s late, particularly as C-Town shuts down pretty early too(sup wit dat btw?). Obviously not exactly a fine dining establishment, so chill with your expectations on décor and ambiance. Had noodle soup with bbq pork and some salt and pepper squid. Both were quite good. My friend has only had squid maybe 2x before but she liked it too. Considering I was at a much«nicer» restaurant a few nights before in the same area and paid probably double, this dish was way better. Very thin coating of flour, not too greasy. Anyways, for probably $ 30 max, we were both happy campers. I’m sure not everything here is good, but I’m also betting you’ll probably be able to find some winners here at a very reasonable price. I’ll be back to try the soft shell crab sometime.

Was greatly disappointed in this place. A friend recommended this place because they supposely had great wonton noodle soup. Once I got into the location it was packed. But that could of also of happened due to the place being very small to begin with. So we followed a typical chinese tradition of sharing tables with 2 other group on a bigger table. Which I didn’t mind much. The wonton noodle soup nothing was special at all. To me tasted like any other wonton from anywhere. The noodles was a bit more crispier, but eh. The service was normal, but due to location I felt rushed throughout the entire meal to finish and leave.

I had dinner here few nights ago around 9 pm. The place is a typical Chinese restaurant. So nothing fancy, people come to eat, and leave. The tables are small and medium, with plexiglass cover and menu behind. Dishes come out of the kitchen really quickly and are incredible good. I had just a common fried rice with seafood, and I think it was the best fried rice I have ever eaten. Each rice was so tasty, that I am not sure how they were able to cook it this way. I also shared a pork dish, and the meat was wonderfully cooked, so soft, that almost melt in my mouth. The door to get in and out have many articles and awards — including various Michelin mentions of the year. This is definitely a place to try if in Chinatown, and ready to experiment real Cantonese food experience!

The prototypical cantonese congee, noodle, and rice place that is almost open around the clock for all crowds, whether you’re looking for lunch, dinner, or post-clubbing food. Always satisfying, regardless of soberness. If you’re in a rush, get something that’s chopped/prepped upfront(chicken, bbq pork, duck hanging upfront) with noodles, congee, wontons. Anything that requires rice or cooking will come from the kitchen in the back, and take a few minutes to cook. Everything is good, but my staples are bbq pork as a side, duck thick noodles in soup, side of wontons, beef tripe, thousand year old and lean meat congee, fish filet and lettuce congee — all upfront. From the back, staples are panfried beef flat noodles, malay/sing chow maifun, and yeung chow fried rice. Btw, as with most places in Chinatown, please don’t expect 5 star service, that’s just the culture — they’re quick, not rude, just quick, not really a place you go to ask the waiter for recommendations.

Just fucking ignore the health rating and stuff your fat fucking face with some of the most Chinatown-y food in the entire world. Eat some duck, eat some noods, eat some damn congee. Relax. Jesus.

Decent Cantonese style with usual range of selections. Decent roast duck and BBQ pork. Wanted to try their roast pig(large crispy slab hanging by window) but was told not available despite clearly visible by all. Noodle soup broth was lackluster. Busy bustling place, need to get your head above crowd by door to get a table. Good not much better than other similar places, especially in Chinatown where good food is everywhere. Not a total loss if you didn’t get a seat.

Cheap Chinese food that hits the spot(and very efficient!). Definitely try out the roast pork and roast duck. The boiled chicken is very good but a tad oily. Great wonton noodle soup(def get roast pork in it). The beef chow fun was a tad greasy but otherwise, delicious. My mom bonded with the waiter as he poured our leftovers into the box. «So oily — I always tell the chef to use less oil».(That’s what my mom always says to my dad — who’s a chef at a Chinese restaurant). Only at a Chinese restaurant can a waiter get away with trash-talking the food and no one cares :)

This place is scary intense your first time: the take-out system is confusing and you are 100% guaranteed to get yelled at by the lady behind the counter. Also, if you are just trying to get your late-night drunk noodle fix, your food is going to take about 2 days. HOWEVER, I have been told this is some of the best and most authentic cuisine to be had in Chinatown. And my stomach confirmed the former point.

I’m usually forgiving towards takeaways but couldn’t forgive that one, based on the recommendation of a concierge in Chinatown, we went in and ordered appetisers and mains, I did eat the dumplings, they were only ok! But non of us ate their mains, we actually left them. Now, it’s not disgusting food per se, it was just really weird, weird texture and very bland. Not excusable considering the competition that’s around in the area, ended up paying 40 $ for untouched food and we gladly went somewhere else.

A bowl of hot wonton soup goes great with the cold winter season, this is what I call comfort food. Delicious and appetizing. I love their wontons because each one is individually wrapped with whole shrimps. The clear broth is flavorful but you can almost taste the msg. However, the noodles make up for its chewy texture.

Great NY Noodletown is a favorite of Anthony Bourdain, but I thought it was only just alright. The seating is done communal style around big tables. We ordered the BBQ pig, and two noodle dishes including the roast duck and wonton noodle and the beef e-noodle. The roast duck & wontons in the noodle dish were fun and different. but the noodles were wimpy. The beef e-noodle dish was greasy and mushy as well, and not that tasty. Despite having noodle in the name, the real star was the BBQ pig, so definitely make sure to try a BBQ item. The roast duck in our noodle dish was also delicious. The noodles dishes were kind of a miss. I really wasn’t that into them which is a shame because I love noodles! If I ever came again, I would just order the BBQ Pig and the roast duck and skip anything else. If we hand’t ordered the BBQ pig dish, this would have definitely got a 2 star rating from me, but their saving grace is the BBQ meat.

I only come here for two things: Seasonal fried soft shell crabs here are to die for, big, juicy and flavorful. Take out not recommended because it will lose its crispyness unless you eat it right away or very nearby. They do put it in a container and poke a hole in the container so it will lose its crispyness that fast. Singapore curry noodles are real good here too, lots of curry sauce and spicy, but not overly spicy. They were very accommodating since I requested no meat. Comes with shrimp, peppers, onions and scallions.

Cash only joint. The service here is not very good. Spoke to them in Cantonese and in English here and they just seemed not to care much either way. Atmosphere is that it is your typical hole in the wall joint. Not very pretty, but homey. That’s ok with me because the food was sooooooooo good. I got this wonderful roasted duck noodle soup with shrimp wontons that was a little over $ 5. I mean geez, who can be mad at that? I don’t care how crappy the service is. The deliciousness made up for every bit of it. The noodles seemed like they were made fresh, and the roasted duck got brought down from the window and chopped fresh to serve. My buddy got some kind of wide noodle dish that was very different from the«fun» noodles that you find at traditional Chinese spots. It was like a flat, wide chow mein. Pretty good, especially if you like chow mein. They serve hot tea standard because this time of year in NY, it is cold. You can also ask for cold water though. Overall 2 thumbs up from me. Good recommendation from Anthony Bourdain.

The Story: Been coming here since I was a little girl with my parents. Stopped by for lunch because I had a doctor’s appointment in China Town. Food: My go to meal is the Roasted Pork & Wanton Noodle soup with a side of fried dough. My boyfriend got the shrimp dumpling noodle soup. Price: Great prices for the amount of food you get. Cash only though! Total bill around $ 15.00 for 2 people. Décor: Very simple set up, table for party of 4 on the side and 3 round tables in the center(I think they seat 8). Sometime you have to share the round tables with other people. Service: Not that great. But this place isn’t for service. You get in, eat, pay, get out. Very to the point. Parking & Finding the Place: On Bowery near the«tourist» areas in China Town. I would say between the tourist areas and«real» China Town. Additional Thoughts: n/a
