A little expensive, but the food was delicious. Started with the goat cheese salad which I shared. More than enough for two. I had a veal dish over spinach, great choice. Service was great and everyone was more than accommodating. It’s very small, so be prepared to have close dinner neighbors. You must make a reservation, I’m glad we did.

So happy to find a good restaurant near the Met Museum! Food and service are both excellent. Slightly pricy but still reasonable for an Upper East Side restaurant. Will visit again!

Very tasty food. Very expensive prices(this is not two $$ signs, even by manhattan standards). But I’m writing this review because i was really miffed by the coordination between our servers and the guys running our food. Two things: 1) when our food came out, the guys running the plates came to the table with it. And they had no idea where to put it. They brought out my wife’s chicken, and just kind of threw it in front of me. And I said it wasn’t mine. And they just kind of looked at me, with the look like it had to be someones… so figure it out! Our waiter came a minute or so later, to clarify things, but it was just awkward and an uncomfortable moment 2) at the end of the meal, the same guys were clearing our plates. My wife and my friend asked for their meals to go. And… they threw the food away! And the waiter was just unaware. And the food runners just kind of denied we said that, but all of us at the table had very clearly heard it The end result of this little situation was that the waiter apologized, and apparently talked with his manager, who was going to come over to the table. That would have been nice. He didnt. But apparently they got clearance to either 1) give us a 15 percent discount on those plates; or 2) make us wait, and they would make two new plates. I didnt want to make a stink, because we were among friends, but if it was just my wife and me i really would have asked for the manager then and there and just lit into him. The staff made a mistake… is your white table, $ 25 an entrée restaurant, so stingy that they cant just comp the items??? Own up to your mistake! So we chose option 2… and then the weirdest thing was that they didnt fully remake the meals! my wife got just a chicken breast, and a couple of potatoes — but not what she had initially. And my buddy just got the three slices of pizza he had left Just realllllllllllly bizarre and stingy, for a nice restaurant. The waiter, to his credit, did comp my buddy’s friend a glass of wine(which she got while she was waiting for the makeup food to come out), but even that was frustrating because i would have gotten something myself, if i had known he was going to comp it… BIZARRE.

Great Food. Went for Brunch on Sunday. Great service. Had the Eggs Benedict and it came with a potato croquet thing and salad. It was amazing, great presentation, and very filling. Can’t wait to go back.

Great lunch spot, short walk to the Met, Neue, and Frick. Had the funghi pizza, which was delicious. The ladies had omelettes that were swiftly devoured and reported to be excellent. The restaurant was quiet and pleasant, good for conversation. The service was exceptional; friendly and informative without being intrusive at all. Everything about the place was just right. I’ll cheerfully go back, it beats the heck out of the cafeterias in the museums!

Tuesday morning I decided to take a trip to the Met museum. While walking down Madison ave, I spotted Grazie. I automatically knew that I would be having lunch here. Have you ever spotted a restaurant and thought to yourself. Hm. Their food must be good and this assumption was just based on the outside decorum? Anyway. When I walked in, I was greeted by the vivacious hostess. Her positive spirit was infectious and it definitely put me in a good mood. My server was also very pleasant and I was really impressed with the support staff as well. They were very polite and attentive. The food was phenomenal. I ordered from the prefixed lunch menu. This included an appetizer, entrée and dessert for only $ 26. I originally had a craving for pizza but I felt like that deal was just too good to pass up. So for my appetizer I ordered the fried calamari… Amazing! It came with two dipping sauces. A marinara sauce and a spicy something on the side(I didn’t ask, what it was) but whatever it was … it paired extremely well with the calamari. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken parmigiana. It was a small portion but it was appropriate for the lunch deal. I enjoyed it. I just wish that there was a tad bit more umph in the sauce. However, there are little bits of garlic chips around the pasta so that gave me the extra flavor I yearned for. For my dessert, I had the tiramisu. It was lovely. I ordered a coffee with my dessert and it came with warm milk on the side. This small detail really did put a smile on my face. It’s the minuscule details that ensure guest satisfaction. I enjoyed my dining experience at Grazie and I encourage those who are on the fence about dining here to give it a try.

Was looking for an Italian restaurant for dinner on a Saturday night and found this one near the Met. The restaurant has two floors, upstairs and downstairs. Pretty cozy with friendly staff. The restaurant was a little too stuffy and warm which caused my baby to make an obscene amount of noise, oops! For dinner we ordered: Grilled octopus — served w potatoes, capers and olives. The octopus had a weird texture, a little bit mealy like it was overcooked. Nothing special or memorable. Shrimp scampi — served w garlic bread which was divine! This dish had a Nice balance of buttery goodness w a hint of acidity. There was only 5 small shrimp, probably size 30 – 40. For $ 16, I expect 5 large shrimp or at least 8 smaller sized ones. This was the most flavorful dish out of all of the items we had that night. Orecchiette w sausage, broccoli rabe, tomatoes & mozzarella — my BIL ordered this dish and mentioned that it was tasty. He also mentioned that it was kind of «sandy». Felt like he was chewing on little bits of sand. Was probably due to the broccoli rabe Bc I experienced the same sandiness in the rack of lamb dish. Trenne pasta w beef short ribs — the pasta was similar to linguini. Nice beefy flavor, but the sauce consistency was a little starchy. Nothing extraordinary. Rack of lamb special w broccoli rabe & mashed potatoes — the lamb was cooked perfectly medium and had minimal gaminess which was nice. Mashed potatoes were seasoned well. Broccoli rabe was a little sandy probably due to it not being cleaned well. The sauce was unctuous and delicious. The complimentary bread came with a fruity EVOO and sun dried tomato purée dip which was tasty. Overall, this Italian restaurant was just average, nothing spectacular. The pasta was cooked well, the lamb dish was good, but the dirty greens and overcooked octopus didn’t mesh well with us. I probably won’t return Bc NYC has a huge food scene so I’ll be trying other restaurants. If your in the neighborhood and want some decent Italian food then drop on in. It’s a little on the pricey side, though.

Food and ambiance were both very good. I had the Cioppino and the two people I was with had the Trenette(braised short rib ragu) and the chicken parm. Everyone was happy with their meal and the Trenette was especially good. The entrees were reasonably-sized and pretty reasonably priced, and the service was prompt and attentive. There is nothing hipster/farm to table/locavore about this restaurant; you could walk in out of time machine from 1975 and not be thrown off. Décor has not been updated in a while. There were lots of children, so while we were not packed in like sardines at some restaurants, there was a constant din emanating from the kids. In a way, the restaurant did not feel very Manhattan; no other way to say it but it had a slight suburban vibe. Overall though, a fine place to eat on the UES near the museums.

Small intimate restaurant. Good for date night or catching up with a close friend. Food was good. Wine was decent. I would come again I ordered the Tuscan pot roast. Get it. It’s good. Husband had lamb chops. That was great too. Their tiramisu was also very good. Bottle red wine, 2 main with one side, 1 dessert and 2 coffee, sets u back about 160 dollars. So not a cheap date. But not overly expensive by Nyc standard either Probably will come again

Found this place by accident a year or so ago. Was in the city today and found my way here again by chance. Great atmosphere and excellent service from Joe at the bar. I asked about the rice balls because I did not see them on lunch menu and Joe and his excellent customer service checked with kitchen and made it happen. I’m not in NYC often but I will make sure I remember address for next time. What personal service in this big city!

Great lobster pasta, good atmosphere. Mediocre pizza, took a while to get the check. To expensive for what you get, not the best value.

Nice cozy place with delicious food, good service, and only a block or so from the Metropolitan Art Museum. They have nice comfy booths to sit in. I had the house — made gnocchi and it was delicious. My mom had a great salad with chicken, apple, beets, arugula, and butter lettuce. My friend got the chicken parmesan and cleaned his plate. I would absolutely go again for a great place to have lunch near the museum.

First off i know almost everything about Italian food. I am a snob I’ve been to Italy. I have never had such a perfect Italian meal without it being Americanized in NYC. I am very pleased it was my birthday so im glad i made a smart choice.

Went here twice this week as found myself in the 80’s on Madison. The staff is really great, especially Bridget and Natasha who were very accommodating and in tune with the client. Food is fresh and atmosphere comfortable. Considering its location, there is a «neighborhoodsy» feeling as I saw a few of the same costumers both times I went. Will definitely recommend it to friends going to the museums in that part of town.

Love, love, love this place. We had the garlic bread with tomato dip and goat cheese for the appetizer and the gnocchi and wild mushroom ravioli for entrée. The ravioli was beyond awesome. The tiramisu was delectable. Absolutely recommend this place!
