Have to say, the service is not slow what so ever here. Which is nice when I’m always rushing to work. The girl at the register keeps everyone in check and keeps the line moving. The manager too on weekday mornings is always present and busy. Always happy to help. You can tell his workers really like him. Salad bar is so fresh! The man at the salad bar is always so cheery and nice too. I got the egg white omelet today with cheese ham scallions spinach and tomatoes and it was great. Even tho I just got the omelet. its Annoying that I still have to pay the price of the omelet, toast and home fries. Oh well. I enjoy the food and the ppl that work here.

This places charges almost $ 7 for a very mediocre bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I won’t be patronizing this place anymore. The food is too expensive to be so basic. I’ve eaten breakfast food here before and I’ve paid a reasonable $ 4. I was told because I ask for a croissant the price jumps to almost 7 bucks. I won’t be back… I’d rather just go to the McDonalds next door. Shame.

This place is fantastic! The prices are great, the music is relaxing, the salads and sandwiches are very tasty but above all, the people that work here are friendly!

Your typical, run-of-the-mill café. If you’re looking for something extraordinary, this is not the place. I placed a pick-up order here and upon arrival, they had my order ready but told me they were out of the Israeli Cranberry Couscous side I ordered and unapologetically told(more like ordered me around) me to go to the fridge and pick out something for the same price amount. Nothing else appealed to me – everything else was either too creamy and unhealthy, or dull, and they wanted me to pay the difference for something that cost an extra dollar or two. I would’ve gladly paid the extra, but you couldn’t be a little more empathetic and offer to waive it since the mistake is on you, or even refund me? They also had 2 people watch me like a hawk picking out the substitute as if I’m going to try to sneak a few of their gross food in my jacket. The side choices were quite limited, compared to the selection on their website. I had to chose the Zesty Fiesta Corn Salad in vain because I was planning to pick up both my lunch and dinner in one. The salad was pretty unpleasant and salty, with the salty olives overpowering the salad. I also had the Chipotle Turkey Melt and Peach Paradise Smoothie. The Turkey Melt was extremely, extremely small – I was appalled when I saw that it was like half the size of a side of the plastic container box. That’s not even the worst part; it was filled with so much jalapeño peppers, I almost burst into tears – they did not indicate it had jalapeño peppers at all. Instead, they advertised it as sliced pickles – seriously? There was not one piece of a pickle – not even one bit; it was not worth a penny of the $ 7.50 it costs. The only reason this review merits 2 stars is because of the Peach Paradise Smoothie, which saved this meal from being entirely bad. The smoothie was pretty good, although I feel like it was a bit sugary. This would be a great refreshment for a summer day, but given the quality of quantity of this place, I don’t expect all-natural ingredients going in the cup. Avoid Gigi Café if you can; it is everything you fear of being cheated of quantity and quality.

This is an average breakfast/lunch spot with affordable and quick options. They have online ordering, usually with 10% off which is a plus. Their sandwich and soup lunch special at $ 6 is hard to beat. The food is okay, as is the service. A few times I’ve ordered in person and the total amount varies. There’s nothing special about Gigi, but if you’re in a rush, it will do.

Ordered lunch from here, the veg wrap with hummus and avocado. SO good! The spices were great, it was fresh, and they even went and got better avocados because they felt that the ones they had were not up to par. Good prices and fast service too!

Nothing special about this place. Standard bodega like sandwich shop. I ordered a fruit smoothie drink that was way too sweet. Something about the straw my gf got was defective and it made a mess of things. Move on. You have many other options.

I work in this neighborhood and for those days when I don’t bring my lunch,(like today) nothing beats their soup and ½ sandwich special($ 6.00!); plus their salad bar is also appetizing. Occasionally, when my boss has a morning meeting, I order from GiGi’s catering menu and they have never failed on the freshness and service. All-in-all, like my Grandmother use to say«you can’t beat it with a stick!»(Which I never knew exactly what that means, but hey — Grandma was full of wisdom, I miss her. .. but I digress.)

I love this place, its my go to for lunch. I am NOT a salad person whatsoever but I actually really enjoy it from Gigi Café. The numerous options they have for toss-ins is lovely and it prevents from having the usual bland«grass». Their website features a deal every month so you’re inclined to try something new and i’ve yet to have something I didn’t like. Plus they have a nice spread of pastries and dessert that totally pair perfectly with my sweet tooth lol. The staff is always friendly & my experience is always pleasant. Keep up the good work :)

0 stars if i could. 1) they overcharged me for my omelette. They charged me for the entire platter(including potatoes and toast) even though I only got the omlette. 2) it took them forever to make a stupid omlette. the guy making it was just shooting the shit while everyone was waiting for him. 3) THEYGAVEMETHEWRONGOMLETTE. i walked out and only when i got back to my office did i realize that they gave me someone else’s omlette because the guy was simply not paying attention to anything he was doing. assholes.

There are such limited lunch options in this part of town, so it’s good to have a place like Gigi’s offer unlimited toppings salads. You get your choice of spinach or mixed greens, two proteins, and then all of the veggie toppings you want. They also have other stations for pasta and other things. And while it’s cramped, there’s seating. And if you need free wi-fi, they’ve got it.

I like this place for what it is — a quick lunch place near my office. I especially like the fact that you can throw together your own salad with a variety of toppings for a decent price. I like that they don’t charge you per topping, and everything seems fresh and tasty.

Usually I do head straight for the salads here but I was in a small dish/tapas mood so I went for 3 of the sides. I really liked the cranberry walnut chicken salad a lot; it was sweet, creamy, and full of nuts and chicken breast. Yum! The chicken caesar bowtie pasta was decent but it could have used more than 3 small pieces of chicken; there was a pretty good balance of parmesan to dressing, though. The organic quinoa with cranberries and walnuts was sweet, nutty, and refreshing. Plus it made me feel quite healthy and virtuous! Overall, I was quite happy with the sides-based meal, which was actually filling enough for lunch and dinner due to the great ratio of carbs: fat:protein. It was about $ 10 for all three(thank you online ordering!), which isn’t bad. It’s a chain but it’s definitely a lot better than fast food, both in taste and nutrition. Service was very efficient and I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I did place my order online, though, and it was ready when I arrived. It does get busy at lunch, though, so the wait might be a bit longer if you order a custom-tossed salad or sandwich rather than select something from the grab-and-go section. Make sure that you place your order online prior to heading here for 25% off!

My boss sends me here for his morning fix of the breafast special – bagel and coffee. This place is always super busy and it’s only because it’s convinenet and there’s not much elsewhere to go. It’s righ next to my office building, but otherwise I wouldn’t have been sent there. It’s alright, just a regular avegrage place for midtowners to get a bit to eat.

I had that build your own pasta deal $ 7.99. The linguini was over cooked, I got so little chicken I forgot it was there, but the sauce was ace! However I did get them to mix their spicy sauce with the pesto. I would be very happy to go there again, and will soon when I need a solid lunch in that area.

Gigi’s is a solid 3 in my book. Would I come here if they didn’t give a 10% discount for my office? Maybe. Would I come here if it wasn’t ½ a block from my office? Absolutely not. Gigi is perfect for those mornigns when I just really need egg whites, turkey bacon, and 1 slice of cheese on whole wheat toast(my let’s pretend what I’m eating is actually healthy even though it’s not but you’re hungover so what the hell). Their coffee is great for Monday mornings, a large will give me the jitters for a few hours in a way even Starbucks can’t do for me anymore. Lunchtime, I can’t tell you much about that. I’ve had some soup — it was salty and generic but better than Hale and Hearty. I would recommend the lox on rye — it’s got cucumbers, I can’t resist!

I think this place is solid for grabbing a quick lunch of a salad, sandwich or soup. I order online and pick up there and have found the staff at the pick-up section to be efficient and very friendly, as well as the people at the adjacent soup counter who see you waiting. Yesterday, when I got back to work, I found my salad was missing an ingredient and had the wrong dressing. I sent a quick e-mail complaint, and was really impressed the next morning to receive a call from the manager with an apology and a request to make up for it. And they did actually have reasonable explanations for the mistakes — not excuses, but I was glad to know it was not just complete carelessness. So REALLY impressed that they care about their customers’ experiences and follow up. Also, each month there is a special discount on a certain menu category if you order online, which is a nice option.

I am happy to have this place in my neighborhood because I can easily grab a drink or a yogurt here. And the soups aren’t bad either. However, the wraps have made my stomach feel a little sick before and the service can be very curt at times.
