I had the pleasure of working with Jared when I visited on vacation and he could not have been more helpful. I came in looking for a watch for my husband. At first I was was only shopping around, however after meeting Jared, I knew there was no where else to go. He clearly knew his product and was so knowledgeable about all the styles in the copple watches. He was welcoming and wasn’t pushy like other associates at other stores. Because of his manner we established a solid relationship and I look forward to working with him on our next purchase.

Went in to buy a necklace for Christmas. As a previous reviewer mentioned salesman J. was pushy and when I seemed to not be making a purchase quickly enough he became dismissive. I would rather buy the jewelry online and not deal with the terrible costumer service in store.

Third person here to call out J. as a rude salesperson. I bought a necklace and then had to return it two days later. When I bought the necklace, J. kept trying to get me to buy other stuff, too. I thought, «OK, well, he’s a salesperson trying to sell stuff, whatever,» so it’s not the end of the world or anything. BUT when I had to return it, J. was incredibly rude and dismissive. SO snooty. Also, if you buy a piece in-store, you can only return it for store credit. BUT if you buy online, you CAN get a refund. Is that not the silliest return policy ever? Why even buy a piece in the store? There is no mention of the in-store return policy on the website or anything like that, it’s implied that their«14-day refund or exchange» credit shown on the site is their only policy. WHY would I want to use store credit in a store where the salespeople are so mean? I never want to go back! Such a waste.

the most beautiful flatware in the world. but do not use finish powerball 3x automatic dishwater detergent in conjunction with your silver. here’s why: reckitt-beckhiser’s finish powerball 3x cleaning power tablets will destroy your jensen silver. the product leaves black marks that cannot be removed. i have 20 place settings and various serving pieces of pyramid. i have put them in the dishwasher for 20+ years (note: jensen does not suggest you do this, but i do). however the finish powerball 3x cleaning power tablets have left black stains on the 10 pieces of silver cutlery which i put beneath the powerball dishwashing tablet dispenser, in the cutlery basket which is mounted on the inside of the pulldown dishwasher door. i assume the concentrated liquid dripped onto the silver. these black stains are not removable. reckitt-benckhiser disclaim responsiblity. they offer no help. they are rude, and uncivil. don’t use their products.

I read the reviews about bad service before going, but I figured I would risk it anyway because I wanted to get an engraved business card holder for my groom’s gift. How bad could it be, right? I was horrified by the service. We have several items from this store, and although we like the merchandise, we will NEVER shop here again. I was ignored for half an hour after asking for help. I finally got some help and picked out an engraving font. I needed the engraving by Friday, and they said they would call the engraver to check to make sure this was possible and would call me back. I never got a call back, so I had to call myself. It was in fact finished by Friday, but the engraving was hideous. I discussed with the man and told him that this is not what we discussed. While I was offered a refund, his catty attitude and the all around HORRIBLESERVICE has put both of us off. Too bad as they lost quite a large registry. Save your time and go to Barney’s across the street for better service and products.

The customer service here leaves much to be desired! The salesman whose name begins with a J. can’t be bothered to provide accurate information about whether a product is or isn’t in stock or to check whether what he says is accurate or not. His behavior is highly dismissive. If it wan’t for a saleswoman who told him that the item was in stock I would have made a trip for nothing and left empty handed. GIven that I have purchased Jensen items at stores around the world and received excellent customer service, it is a shame that some sales people behaviors can leave so much to be desired!!!

I have to agree with the reviewer who said that customer service at Georg Jensen used to be fabulous but isn’t any longer — that has been my experience of late as well. No one there seems to care about you, even if you are a previous customer. And be very wary about sending things out to be repaired — twice I have been given merchandise that isn’t the same as what I brought in.

This is a review of this particular Madison Ave shop, not Georg Jensen as a whole. First, the staff was EXCEPTIONAL. Daniela Christensen was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional… five star rating for her! She knows Jensen’s products inside and out. Definitely ask for her when you arrive! The problem is the exterior, which blends in with the other stores on the block(including the tacky fading red awnings) and, moving inside, the interior lighting is atrocious. The gorgeous products on display aren’t well served by the low wattage lighting. Walk a few blocks to Tiffany & Co. for a lesson on proper lighting! Jensen has beautiful products that aren’t well represented with sub-par lighting with which customers can’t differentiate yellow from rose gold. But again, if you do shop here, ask for Mrs. Christensen!

Their products are beautiful, but they will not stand behind them when something breaks. I own salt and pepper mills, both broke in the same way. I took them in to this store to get them repaired or replaced — no chance. They will not repair stainless steel items. The manager’s suggestion was to find a repairman in the place that I live. When I asked why the company would not stand behind its products, the manager said that she had to «speak with a customer» and walked away. Maybe this is appropriate at Sears, but the salt and pepper mills together cost a couple hundred dollars. I guess I was a fool to expect better treatment.

Yes, the designs are beautiful and the staff are smiley. But if you buy a Jensen watch, get it for beauty only — don’t expect it to tell time and don’t expect this company to give a damn. The NY store collected hundreds of $ for repeated repair attempts and finally, grudgingly, sent my pretty watch(see reviewer GG’s photo) to Denmark in May 2011. A week after I got it back, it stopped again. I emailed Jensen customer service and got no reply whatsoever. Tried again, finally got a fervently apologetic response in October from Joanne Feliciano who promised to replace my watch — but did nothing. Emailed her again in November. No response. Emailed again yesterday(in December), and she says she will«take care asap.» Pathetically bad service AFTER you buy, in other words.

I love everything Georg Jensen has. Great design and high quality. I collect all the men’s pendants, as well as my flatware. I’ve shopped at all the NYC locations, Las Vegas, Chicago, and Beverly Hills locations and the staff have all been equally great.

Wonderful staff, so gracious and helpful. I have been to stores in Chicago, Copenhagen, Denmark and Las Vegas and the staff here is truly warm, attentive and friendly. The gentleman even made recomendations for places to dine, drink and entertain myself while I was in NYC alone for a week.

For slightly more than a century, the company has been known for its sleek and simple lines and an understated elegance far more attractive than contemporary, over-the-top bling. Guests continue to rave about napkin rings and demitasse spoons I bought in their Copenhagen store some two decades ago, proving nothing purchased here will ever go out of style.
