Good happy hour with discounted wine and eastside & westside oysters, but get there early, bar side seating is limited and the regulars tend to stick around. When ordering your entrée the whole fish option is available, if you want to see what kind of fish you are eating.

Happy hour was great. I loved the steak and mussels and of course for dessert molton cake one if the best I’ve ever had. Must try in the UES

I just love this place! I love the area, and the outdoor seating, the happy hour oysters, and their little cute airplane looking bathroom! I one time ordered 5 dozen oysters and 2 dozen clams for 3 people. It was deliciously overwhelming. I remember sleeping well that night.

Well thanks to Fulton, I no longer have a shellfish addiction. I definitely got shellfish poisoning from either the oysters or clams I ate as part of their Happy Hour menu. As the saying goes«if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.» I seriously think these were frozen.

I was given a gift certificate as a present to Fultons and went with my boyfriend. First of all — the ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. Low lighting, nice décor and a calm feel. We were given a corner spot. We order some raw bar to start which was good and the wine was good too. We were not happy with our mains tho. I got the chicken(I know strange at a fish restaurant but it was recommended by the server) and he got halibut. Both of our mains were plain and not too exciting. The portions are small — which is normal for a nice restuatant but because of the simple spicing we didn’t feel full or satisfied. Overall disappointed because we heard so much hype.

A friend brought me here for a belated birthday dinner. It was great! Now, mind you we went on a COLDWINTRY night and walked into a warm and inviting restaurant. Absolutely great. It was restaurant week so we indulged in the menu. The food is great, NO complaints! However, I would like this review to be moreso about their service. The waitress was so very nice and amazing that I would go back to Fulton a million times over! She came to our table 4 times to ask for our order and we didn’t have one yet, and NOT once was she upset with us(frankly it’s got to be annoying that someone comes to a restaurant and doesn’t bother to look at the menu, it’s like why are you even there? lol) but she was so accommodating and understanding… never once did my wine glass look bare and she was more than willing to give her advice on dishes and even check in to make sure we loved it all. Oh and if it couldn’t get better… on our way out they gave us home made cookies to go! :)

I came here for restaurant week Feb 14, Menu selection was limited, no choices for dessert and the food in my opinion was average. The ambiance is very nice and the service was attentive. However, I feel there are better restaurants to try at this price point. Had high expectations which were unfortunately not met…

Fulton is an overall great, cozy place. You can’t beat their $ 1 oyster happy hour, especially when its warm out and you can sit outside! I’ve been a few times for both happy hour and for dinner. The menu is great– the chicken with the polenta fries was really good and their burger is also amazing! A great staple restaurant in the UES!

The happy hour here is the best. $ 1 huge East Coast oysters. $ 1.50 for smaller West Coast oysters and $ 0.50 for clams. We must have gotten 4 dozen altogether and some wine and squid. All of which were amazing. We sat at the bar and the staff was great. It only took about 3 minutes from ordering to receiving the food. It was also very relaxing here. We couldn’t ask for that much more.

Very nice and cozy restaurant and at the same time expensive. Portions are not that big and sure can use some seasoning. However, every time I go here I have a great time. The wait staff is amazing and very attentive. The wine selection is superb and the tres leches salted cake is delicious! You must try the lobster bisque and the fish of the day but be careful, they seem to run out of the fish of the day quite often. If this happens to you don’t worry, there’s plenty to choose from:)

Pricey and refined. The crab cake and fluke appetizers were fresh and delicious, if small. I found the breads(warmed ciabatta and seeded baguettes) to be underwhelming and not worth the trouble or the crumbs. Service is very professional and warm; you may even get cookies to take home on your way out.

Introduced to good food on Restaurant Week. Great service by the staff with excellent suggestions when you seek advise on wine and food. Definitely coming back for happy hour with their clam/oyster specials and drinks. Some of the picks for RW didn’t completely thrill us, but showed quality of the food! Best of all? They bid you good night with delicious chocolate chip cookies!

I ordered the crab cakes and then the burger. I realize that this is not the right place to order a burger. It was really pretty terrible, but the crab cake was excellent! My sister got the shrimp salad which she loved and my brother-in-law got the fish and chips, which looked amazing. The atmosphere was pretty good. I thought it was reasonably priced. The waiter was a little awkward, but that’s fine. Moral of the story: Do not order meat. Get fish.

Truly a great UES spot. The happy hour is unbeatable(but you need to arrive early because its only at the bar) with $ 1 oysters, .50 claims, and $ 10 cocktails. We didn’t make it for happy hour, but they also have a fantastic prix fixe dinner menu($ 38) from 5 – 6:15. The crab cake is fantastic — very light and flavorful with spicy remoulade on the side. The Fulton Burger(a burger made with 3 types of fish, held together with a bit of avocado) is also a good choice. It is flavorful and the fishes in the burger work together very well, although I thought there was perhaps a bit too much lemon juice. The skate wing was my favorite entrée off the prix fixe menu — very tender and flavorful. I didn’t care for the red beans that came with the skate wing — maybe ask for a salad on the side instead(the salads were fantastic). Service was solid overall, and they give you a bag of delicious cookies as you leave. This is now my favorite fish place on the UES. It is cheaper than Fishtail, easier to get a reservation, and better!

Three words: Oyster. Happy. Hour. Get a spot at the bar(the happy hour is bar area only!). Fight the locals, since this place seems to have many neighborhood fans. Order a cava, fries(the dipping sauces are sooo good), and as many oysters are you can manage. Inhale. Don’t stay for dinner. Walk a couple blocks to JBird for cocktails. Et Voila, the perfect date night evening.

I came here for brunch with my parents and we had a great experience. I got the Lobster Benedict(tons of lobster!), which was divine, my dad got the French toast, and my mom got the egg scramble with fried oysters. We also split the salmon toast and got coffees. Everything was delicious and the ambiance of the restaurant was really inviting and relaxing. Service was decent. I would definitely come back here again for brunch and would like to try it for lunch and/or dinner soon!

Came here for Restaurant Week lunch today with my girl pal and it was one of the better experiences I have had during Restaurant week! When we left, I did not feel jipped like I normally do. This inspired me out of my review hiatus!!! I had the butternut squash, which was actually very creamy and sweet. The only complaint about it was the plating-it was presented in a shallow round-edged plate. I would have preferred a bowl? For the second course, I got the Fulton burger, which is a fish burger made of swordfish, black cod and sea trout. It came with a fresh arugula and baby tomato salad, and extra sauce(mayo, orange zest and dill I believe). It was completely satisfying and nicely portioned. Even though I was stuffed, I had to finish eating the burger bun because it was so soft and perfectly buttered!(I broke my diet. Shame on me.) They only had one dessert: warm apple tart. I was not to crazy about the apple filling but I loved the pie crust and the ginger vanilla ice cream. My friend got the grilled octopus and skate wing(pretty fresh and yummy as well). The waiting staff was a little odd though. When we asked our waiter a question, he sort of just ignored us and took our menus away??? But yeah, that burger made up for it. Totes.

This place is the hidden oyster gem of the UES. They have an incredible happy hour special from 5−7pm that can’t be beat. Know why? Because it’s 7 days a week. That’s why. Oh, and maybe because they have quite possibly the most crazy delicious popcorn(laced with truffle oil and parmesan). … and maybe the $ 1.00 East Coast Oysters/$ 1.50 West Coast Oysters. We were there from 5pm-9pm and had no problem finding a seat or chatting with regulars.((this happy hour deal is good for the bar only)). Sadly it is too cold to enjoy outdoor seating, but we will definitely take advantage of it when the weather gets nicer. The bartender is chatty, attentive and is willing to start an intervention if you order too many bowls of popcorn(not that I ordered 5 or anything…). Anyway, if you’re down to meet some oyster-loving locals, joke with the wait staff and enjoy a quiet evening with your special someone, Fulton’s is the best place the UES has.

$ 1 East Coast oysters, $ 1.50 West Coast oysters and $.50 clams during happy hour EVERYDAY from 5−7pm. That is pretty awesome. The East coast oysters are smoother and the West Coast ones are meatier(I found them to taste more like the sea, so I personally preferred the East Coast ones). Caveat – you can only take advantage of this deal if you sit outside or at the inside bar, which is pretty small… maybe sits around 10 ppl. If you can snag a seat, it’s a pretty good time.

This review is strictly for the happy hour… & I’m hesitant to even share because I was shocked it wasn’t more packed! Let’s just say the oyster + drink specials are better than any other seafood spot I’ve found in the city. The bar is tiny but the happy hour is also available on their spacious outdoor patio — and the service is great. Complimentary truffle Parmesan popcorn and excellent waitstaff locked in future returns… you’ll find me there next week for sure :)
