This is the worst food I have ever eaten in my life. Let me type that again in case you weren’t awake or can’t read English, THISISTHEWORSTFOOD I HAVEEVEREATENINMYLIFE. I once was felling trees in a remote forest, and unfortunately I am a worse lumberjack than the chef here is at his calling(how hard is it to deep fry prepackaged food?). Hindsight is 20/20, but what a great meal my left arm was. I am thankful I escaped so I can eat my dominant hand. I look forward to this meal with high hopes and lofty zeal. P. S. Anyone who didn’t give this place 1 star puts ketchup on their hotdogs.

This is my go to spot anytime I’m working in the area. Prices are fair and value is good. Things to look out for: The chorizo doesn’t taste or look like chorizo; the chili has a canned taste as if it were from the chef boyardee factory; the enchiladas are just stuffed hardshell tacos. Otherwise it’s a pretty decent place, not great but not bad either. Try the mexican pizza, it’s like a chicken pot pie, except with a deep fried flour tortilla crust filled with chicken(or beef), beans, salsa and guacamole. Most of the rice plate combos are a safe route.

I had their grilled steak taco. The dried chili and sauce were great. They used Australian steak which was tender and tasted like real steak. Some bad steaks taste like cheap beef. Their menu is inexpensive. I will come here again!

The garden salad was not fresh and the ginger dressing too strong. The chicken and vegetable soup was very salty. I would not order those items from here again.

When you’re hungry and craving quesadillas, this is the place to be. When you’re not hungry and not craving quesadillas(which is never cuz who doesn’t love a good quesadilla) this is still the place to go because this place will make you hungry. In conclusion, quesadillas always make a person’s day

I always go here after shopping in soho with friends. Probably the best deal on quick food that you will get around the area since everywhere else is so expensive. I recommend the chicken quesadilla. The chicken is super good & it’s under $ 5. If you’re nice & come there often they even give you extra toppings for free. :)

Taco Bell has higher quality food than what was presented here. I ordered the chorizo quesadilla, and it was one of the grossest meals I have ever tried to stomach. I’m not even convinced that the meat was chorizo, and was quite cold. The tomatoes were mostly green and yellow, with a hint of red. For a place called Fresh Tortillas Express, is it too much to ask for my tortilla to be fresh? The tortilla was so chewy and squeaked against my teeth as I chewed. I won’t be surprised if I have food poisoning later. Needless to say, I won’t be going back.

Delivery is fast, but you may need to call in to confirm your order. Certain things dont come on the tacos even those the website(seamless) states that it does. GETITTOGETHER!

Listen: this place isn’t going to win any interior design awards, and upon entering one might even grapple with the whole«I’m really hungry, but I don’t want to get food poisoning» debate. However once you try the food(and don’t get sick) you will become a fan. It’s nothing fancy but then again fancy isn’t the market share this place is going after. It’s fresh, hot tacos. Dig it.

It’s exactly what you want for 2 stars. I’m talking to people who will eat Taco Bell but want a little better ingredient. The price is good and service fast. This is a «I need a quick bite and I don’t want to make a fuss» sort of place. It’s what you need it to be at the moment. Don’t talk it up or walk out of your way. Do get a snack when you walk by.

I’m giving a generous three stars only because it technically tasted good but it was not Mexican food. enchiladas were not enchiladas I’m not sure what they are. I think they just put cheese inside a preformed taco shell and put it in the oven and then served it with black beans and rice. And the rice and beans were not Mexican at all but more Cuban style. There is definitely no enchilada sauce involved and I didn’t want it as a meal I just wanted a single enchilada. However I’m incredibly biased because I’m from Southern California and I know that New York City does not have good Mexican food. I think for the price I would rather have the King wok Chinese food right up the street.

Pretty tasty and wallet-friendly, delivery was quick. On a Sunday night in a pinch, Tortillas Express delivered pretty sweet quesadillas and tacos — the guac was nice too.

The food is good but the delivery is terrible. I ordered from them for the last time today when they delivered ice cold food and blamed it on me living too far. The delivery took an hour, ice cold food, no sorry or apology equals never again for me. I won’t be ordering from here any more.

No idea why this place isn’t better rated… It’s fresh, ridiculously cheap, ridiculously fast, and the staff are lovely. Admittedly I live 4 blocks away, but I phone ordered delivery and got it in actually 8 minutes

I had my order deliver at work, and I must say the presentation sucked. I’m convinced that the delivery man went through he’ll and back in order to deliver my food. Everything was splattered. It was a huge mess. I had ordered chimichangas and I it all looked like a vocano erupted. They use regular kraft cheese(I hope) and the tortilla was sticky. They are very cheap so I guess you get what you pay for

I could ask for little more from a Tex Mex joint. Although it should be more accurately called China Mex. It looks like a Chinese take out and there is little to write home about in regards to the interior, but with food as good as they serve, I could care less. I used to come here just about every day before or after work back when I worked on Bedford St. They serve one of the best burritos I’ve had in NYC so far for its price. Huge, filling, and full of flavour. On the side I sometimes get the soups available which are also very tasty. Fast-foody, a tad oily, but fantastic food altogether, and most importantly they are very consistent. I always recommend this place to friends, and it is one of my prized burrito spots. They make great fajitas too. I live in Brooklyn, but readily hop on a train to Manhattan to come and eat here on occasion.

I know I shouldn’t expect much for $ 1.35 a taco, but I expect more than this. I needed to grab a bite before drinking with some friends at an event down the street and figured a taco was good belly-liner. The tortilla was thin and sticky and the chicken just not flavorful. If you need something cheap, this could work, but don’t go out of your way.

Such a great quesadilla. I’m from AZ and Mexican is tough to find in the city, but this is super good.

When you walk in, don’t be confused by the Chinese staff. It’s not a Chinese food joint unless tacos and such constitute as Asian cuisine. It’s a very small venue that seats about six. Because it’s so small, you may or may not leave smelling like chicken and tacos, but if that’s your thing… I ordered the vegetables and guacamole platter which was done in less than a minute and pretty much tasted like it was prepared in a minute. I’m not hard to please when it comes to food, so the fact that I didn’t like it very much is very telling. It was so bland. Salt wouldn’t be enough to fix it. This is the pit stop you’d make if the line at Chipotle stretches to the Hudson River and nothing else in the area interests you. If you’re looking for quick and inexpensive food, then this is it, because it isn’t anything else.
