TRYTHEMACARONICECREAMSANDWICH! SOSOGOOD. so refreshing, and only $ 5!!! I had the pistachio raspberry, and it was to die for! This bakery seems pretty affordable, and the service is great! Will definitely come back again this summer.

I bought macaroon ice cream. It was nice but I thought it was expensive($ 5/each).

Came here to try the macaron donut. They change the flavors everyday apparently, and on the day we went, it was a banana pudding flavored one. It was okay… I thought it would be more of an experience like the cronut at Dominique Ansel’s but it was just like a slightly chewy, slightly doughy macaron with some banana pudding filling in between. Nothing that special. Try it if you want but I wouldn’t get it again.

It was super sunny and hot so my friend and I stopped in for some of the macaron ice cream sandwiches. We tried the pistachio raspberry & strawberry cheesecake flavors. The ice cream itself was good. We couldn’t really taste the pistachio part or the cheesecake part of the flavors though. We didn’t really care for the macaron part, probably because it was frozen. They’re all prepackaged and the macaron gets pretty hard and loses most of its chewiness. They were each $ 5, which isn’t too bad, but better ice cream can be found in so many other places. The other baked goods and pastries looked delicious by the way — this review is just about the ice cream sandwiches.

My friend and I went into this lovely bakery near closing and found that all their croissants and baked goods were half priced after 5. I had a hard time choosing between their chocolate croissant and their almond chocolate croissant both looked so good. In the end, Lily, the girl helping us surprise us by giving me both! Thanks Lily for croissant love!

I’ve ordered cakes from their website and they are always visually appealing and decadently delicious. They are quite pricey(ex: $ 69 for a 10-person cake size), but worth it if you want to be decadent. If you love chocolate the Louvre dome cake is rich and amazing. My goal is to try all their flavors even if it kills my diet.

Come here for the Almond Croissant! Coffee is good too. I’ve had mixed experiences with the staff here. Sometimes, they are warm and friendly. Other times, it seems like I’m bothering them when I order. All in all, they have some great pastries and beverages here.

Nice little bakery on Houston. Mellow and low key. Hip music in the background and staff that seem friendly. Not a big menu, which is good. Ordered the Autumn Salad which was surprisingly fresh and tastes really good.

Came here very briefly to pick up something savory and something sweet. To satisfy my craving for the former, I got a ham and cheese croissant. It was arguably the best croissant I’ve had this year(and I’ve eaten a lot). It’s so fluffy and delicious! They toasted it a little so the cheese was nice and melted. For something sweet, I got the chocolate éclair. Not the best I’ve ever had — too much chocolate for my liking.

I think most people come here for the namesake but they do offer some good pastries. Lately I have been on a croissant craze and I have to say that I was a bit disappointed in theirs. It had a nice crust and a moist interior but it lacked the rich buttery and flaky goodness I was hoping for. It was decent but not amazing.

Had their macaron ice cream sandwich which wasn’t that great, and their sandwich, both were just ok. And their staff were not good; they were not friendly + they talked too loud chatting up among themselves and not really focusing on customers, so it makes you like you are bothering them. The facility was ok, with few sit down area.

It might actually have decent food but the sole person working there was so out of control rude and snarky that I refused to even try what my partner had she got coffee and a pastry and didn’t complain about the food but was also treated rudely by the staff person a young woman ugh Never going back

Gimme the O! Gimme the M! Gimme the G! Gimme the OMG! I meeeeaaannnnnn! Francois Payard is legit and in terms of baked goods, he is the king… Especially after 5PM when baked goods –think Viennoiseries– go 50% off… Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. I love the chocolate almond croissant. It’s probably more kcal than you are willing to admit to yourself, but oh it is so so so worth it. Enjoy and you are welcome :)

After seeing pictures of this bakery’s macaron ice cream sandwiches, I had to try it. I expected more from the sandwiches than what I got. First, it was very small for the price($ 5). The appearance wasn’t as good as I expected since they’re premade and came in a small box. There were about four or five flavors, I chose the mango coconut and my friend chose the pistachio one. I definitely liked mine way better than the pistachio one. It was refreshing and the ice cream was very good. The macaron itself was a bit too sweet for me. A place you try once but I wouldn’t frequent this place for dessert.

Seriously… this was what I was excited for? Disappointed! Girl at the register could care less if I was president Obama or a homeless. Asked about the ice cream sandwich and she looked like I asked her to put on my shoes. $ 5 for not even a hand size ice cream sandwich I got the espresso brownie and what I got what a chocolate ice cream sandwich with chocolate espresso ice cream, more like chocolate… couldn’t even tell. The cookie part taste more dough than anything Ate half and chucked it, what a waste

I can only write a review for the macaron ice cream sandwich. I walked passed this place on my way to spin class and the sign advertising macaron ice cream sandwiches drew me in almost instantly. I’m a true sucker for ice cream sandwiches – any time of day and during any kind of weather. I ordered the salted caramel macaron expecting something magical. First of all, it was rectangular – something that slightly shocked me. I’m used to these round delicate cookies and they give me something rectangular. I knew I wasn’t in for the treat I hoped for. The texture just wasn’t quite right. Not as airy or as chewy(as I prefer it). Also, the flavor. It just didn’t have enough salted caramel and the macaron tasted slightly burnt. Overall, great concept. Poor execution. I’ll just stick to my regular ice cream sandwiches for now.

Love the desserts. The staff could be livelier. There’s more sitting than one would expect. –The place is very clean.- The macarons could definitely be better. FPB has never failed me in terms of dessert. I absolutely love the chocolate & raspberry role cake. That thing is amazing. That thing is perfection. There are these little crunchy chocolate things on top. I love cake! I LOVETHATCAKESOMUCH! There’s also a roule version of it in coffee. That you can most likely find at the end of the day(7 pm, aka too early for the area), because the chocolate & raspberry perfection is sold out. That one is still good, pretty, and topped with a macaron. But still not as delicious as the first choice. I didn’t like their raspberry macaron and I think you can find better around the city. However, their macaron ice cream/sorbet sandwiches are what I look forward to every summer. They are much better packaged this year! They actually come in a cute little box! Oh, there’s also a brownie version of them. Yessss. For $ 5 a pop, they are very worth it. You should wait a few minutes before biting into them so you can actually taste things, instead of a rock solid colorful frozen confection.

I had heard a lot about this place n their special offing which made me to try it all the more! N finally when I sampled their pistachio raspberry macaron ice cream sandwich I immediately knew y it’s so popular. The highly sophisticated bakery had a host of master pieces in display but I tried their summer exclusive– macaron ice cream sandwich. The slight crunchiness of pistachio paired with the tartness of raspberry was an eclectic combination. I can’t wait to taste their other wonderful creations.

I became really sick after having a pastry and ice coffee here. From 5am and on the next day it was a marathon bathroom run. At first it could’ve been something after but I later found out my friend whom I was with at this«bakery» had the exact same symptoms I had later that night. We both have eaten different pastries and hot and cold coffee so it was not just one thing. This place needs some serious overhaul or shut down. Update. Beware of making bad reviews, the owner of this place will personally stalk you on Instagram.

Francois Payard is a NYC legend. He has worked as a pastry chef at Le Bernardin as well as Daniel. His shop is tiny, but offers an amazing array of French pastries. It’s a nice place to sit and chit chat and have some really nice pastries. I first heard of his bakery on an episode of Unique Sweets on the Cooking Channel. On the episode, they focus on his Roule cake. The food: Macaron– My two favorites, in general, are the raspberry and pistachio, they happen to be my two favorites here. I think the macarons are so expertly made, it has a very nice, brittle exterior and nice fluffy interior. The filling is done nicely, the raspberry has a wonderful tartness and an excellent raspberry flavor. The pistachio is made really well with a nice underlying pistachio flavor throughout. Chocolate Raspberry Gâteau Roule– Chocolate Sponge rolled with Chocolate Cream with Fresh Raspberry Preserve. The Roule cakes look absolutely stunning. The amount of attention to detail is mind blowing. I really enjoyed the lightness of the cake to the the raspberry and chocolate flavor, the chocolate meringue pieces on top are a nice textural addition. My only two criticisms would be the cake portion could use a tad more moisture and the cake is a smidge on the sweet side.
