We found this place on a detour off of Union Square. The tacos are amazing and they have a great selection of Mexican food. Also you should definitely get the taco special 3 for $ 13. I don’t know how long the special will last but when I was here they had a duck taco with mango salsa. AMAZING!
This is a new restaurant it’s a little bit off the beaten path but you can find it on 16th St. under the blue cocktail sign.
A must try if you are in Union Square and looking to grab a bite.

Finally! As a guy from Houston, I have always said that this city is in need of a good taco spot. When I stepped into Flats Fix, I knew it would be good because it’s attached to Coffee Shop Bar. I fell in love wit the brisket and duck tacos. I’m not a Pastrami guy, but I even liked their signature Pastrami taco. Don’t forget to try their home made sauce. The specialty tequila drinks hit the spot for a cold January night in the city.

Found a new taco spot that I can frequent! I love that this place has fish tacos and the elote is sooooo yummy! The tacos are $ 4.50 each or 3 for $ 13. All the sides are $ 4. What’s cool about this place is that when sitting at the bar you can see every single move the chefs make so no shady business is going on. Also, when your starving and impatient thinking «where the F is my food?!» You can clearly see they are still cooking other people’s food. Bartender was really friendly so service is a plus! The bathroom is shared with the Coffee Shop bc the place is that small. As a non-​meat eater I would like to see shrimp and vegetarian options on the menu. At least a basic rice and bean taco like Dos Toros. Other than that, cool ambience, nice bartender, and def def scrumptious tacos w some amazing sauce!

This place is a gem. They opened up right next to Coffee Shop. Cool atmosphere, nothing fancy. Has a So Cal surf meets garage vibe. Tried the pastrami and fish taco and I can’t wait to go back for another! Seriously very good and reasonably priced. Really was impressed, though I didn’t have any expectations. Looking forward to going back with a few friends for happy hour.

the chicken tacos deserve 4 stars. but service was disappointing (even though it wasn’t crowded we had to wait until being attended, the waitress was pretty unfriendly and couldn’t answer questions about the menu…) big minus: they don’t have vegetarian tacos on their menu but after asking they offered a sweet potato taco which was ok.

Union Square’s newest taco joint is hands-​down the best! Taco Shop has a stripped down décor and genuinely great food, representing an incredible value. The pastrami taco is a must-​try; its truly decadent. The brisket and pulled chicken tacos are packed with flavor. Other favorites are the house slaw and the elote (Mexican street corn for the uninitiated). The house-​made hot sauce is flavor-​focussed, just intense enough so that you want more. The only thing missing? Maybe some churros for dessert?!
