Came in here for a quick caffeine fix. Loved the layout and the feel but it was quieter and without the coffeehouse buzz one may look for. Staff was very friendly but crowd was a bit pretentious, the type that argue for outlets and put their sacks on the seat neat to them to avoid communal sitting. Café would benefit from being a bit larger but the coffee was excellent and what they have to offer is no nonsense. Nice spot for a somber cup

Loved this place the second that I walked in. With its coffee and espresso selection and quaint pastries and sandwiches, you feel transported to Europe at Filicori. The place is also pretty quiet which was perfect for doing work while sipping my amaretto espresso drink. Great location right off the 2 train as well! Doesn’t get much better than this if you’re looking for a café to work, or a relaxing stop for coffee with a friend.

A very nice, cozy place. Decoration is simple but nice and coffee is really good. Somewhat pricy, but I guess you pay also for the ambience. While noisy, it can be a nice place to read or chill… good lighting inside(seldom had I realized that others cafes were so gloomy and dark).

Loved the location and atmosphere! I personally didn’t try their coffee but my husband did and he thought it was good. Positive and clean place! Look forward to going again!

I loved this place so much. I went here every day, but I noticed a decline in coffee quality and customer service. Baristas aren’t as nice… I’ve gotten a few either acidic lattes or too hot or too cold. I guess thats what happens when a place becomes too popular. I still give it a 5 star but it’s for what it used to be. What happened to you Filicori? Where are the nice baristas and the great coffee? That was what made this place special. Now it’s just another coffee shop with shitty customer service and bad expensive coffee.

My favorite coffee spot on the upper west side. Just outside the 96th street train station. There are tons of windows and lots of outlets for charging devices. The coffee is always delicious and the staff are great! I haven’t tried the tea yet, but they have a pretty good selection. You can also have a shot added to your coffee if that’s your thing. Highly recommend! Updates review: I used to love coming here, but the last couple times(there seems to be whole new staff) it’s not been a good experience. The staff have been rude and the drinks on par with Starbucks but much slower service.

I am a regular at Filicori and have always loved it. Today my coffee sucked. I wish I had picked one up from dunkin donuts instead. Would have been at least cheaper. It’s a new female barista today. Terrible job. Caffe latte with hazelnut– super sweet, cold and super messy. No class. She cmpletely ruined my morning coffee :(. Now I have to buy a better coffee to undo the effect. I guess Paris Baguette café latte should do the trick. I will walk away from filicori now– looking actively for a good coffee place. Filicori is out.

The canele was mushy and flavorless, more like a wet pancake that’s been sitting out on a breakfast nook for 3 hours. Add to that the fact that both staffers were in a rush and neither even approached a smile, and it baffles me how this location is so much better reviewed than downtown ones. We often say love cannot last forever and yet, what is forever to us? There isn’t a single aspect of our lives that exists in perpetuity, not ourselves, not our homes, not even the art we create, which will likely disappear long before the sun swallows the earth. I personally think it isn’t the great cathedrals or statues or gods that are eternal for us; rather it is the most fleeting things: that kiss you will always remember, the look on your son’s face you think of every day, an accident you wish you could change. It is these infinitely small, transient things that are the true monuments of life. That stay with us always. So, if you are sitting here with someone you care about, sipping an espresso for a few minutes, know that you are making a greater and more true history than anything read in any book. And honestly, the espresso pulled here, which is some of the best on the UWS, is well worth making these kinds of moments. I often think how sad and sorry a thing like a government, or even an entire city is, compared to two people sitting in the corner of some coffee shop sharing the briefest of kisses.

Excellent coffee with friendly staff. They make designs in froth with cappuccino. They serve espresso European style with a glass of pellegrino and a piece of chocolate. Best coffee in fidi $ 20 weekly unlimited coffee special is a great deal if you live/work downtown and drink coffee. You can get just about any coffee every 45 minutes for 7 days for $ 20 flat. Can’t beat that!!!

One AMAZING, FABULOUS Latte & you will feel like you are in Italy. I LOVEDITBECAUSE the foam was rich & thick and I’m guessing at least a half inch or more deep. I had a small latte. The regular. I did not try the flavored lattes yet. This was my first visit & I will be back! I’ll post a few photos. I was not impressed with the pastries, tho. Today is Saturday, so I don’t know if weekends make a difference. The only pastry I saw that called out to me was the beautiful looking rugalah & it looked exactly like the delicious chocolate rugalah/babka piece of pastry that the bakers called«Bread» make, & that, I can tell you is outrageously delicious.(They are at Union Square &15th Street) When I paid for my latte the nice lady at the register told me she was giving me a card & with 7 purchases I would get a free coffee. How nice not to have to ask for the card!!! Yipee! And I see there are multiple locations in Manhattan. I’m happy about that! I shall try to visit each one! I will also return to this location during the week to check out the pastries again, & I will update this review. So, if you are wishing you could vacation in Italy, but can’t right now, stop in to Filicori Zecchini Café & have a latte & you will feel like you are in Italy with your first sip. Enjoy!

Great coffee and great service. Atmosphere feels like you’ve stepped into a typical café in Europe. Quaint, simple bites, and fast pace. Great neighborhood go to coffee shop.

Loved this coffee shop!!! Such an elegant, super clean, bright, happy, well priced coffee shop! The staff was really friendly and even offered my friend and I a sample of their special frozen iced coffee which is what my friend ended up getting. I decided on the Amaretto Espresso. They also sweeten the deal a bit more by adding a Filicori Zecchini signature chocolate. That little touch deserves a few smiley faces, so here it goes :) :) Will definitely go back and try more items from their menu.

This place is a great find. It’s hard to find cafes that are great for getting work done, but this is one! Very bright, clean, and spacious café. Ample seating, free –functional– wifi. Good coffee. Accepts card. Very nicely air-conditioned. Such a perk in this terrible hot humidity. It’s also right by the 96th street station. I especially appreciate their hours. They are open until 11pm, while most cafes close before 8pm(usually as early as 5 or 6 pm). My only gripes are that they charged $ 3 for a mini-muffin, and their baristas were kind of unfriendly. Drink prices are more than reasonable, but that $ 3 mini-muffin…

Ermagerd new fave. Pros: great service, great brownie, granola parfait and iced tea(I’ve yet to try the coffee!), gorgeous space in which to read/chill/study. Cons: drafty A/C, and I wasn’t a fan of the music. Would def come back though.

Prompt courteous service. 36 seats indoor only. Right next to Two Boots Pizza(going there later!) Euro-chic atmosphere, light pastries, definitely café worthy of France, Italy, or Spain. Popular meeting place for NY intellectuals. Iced black and green teas on tap, large variety of barista drinks. There are also organic chocolates in case of a sweet tooth craving!

Filicori is the newest addition to the neighborhood. I live right around the corner and pass it on my commute to and from the 96th street subway station. Clean café, very friendly staff. Good quality coffee, cheaper than starbucks. Sometimes a bit too crowded though. but I’m a fan.

I tried another café called Earth Café in the neighborhood and I was very disappointed. The service was rude, the baked goods were dry, and the coffee was boring. Basically, I should have spent my money at Filicori and not Earth Café. They remembered me and my order after my first visit. Their croissants are always delicious, their coffee’s rich and they have great hospitality. Do yourself a favor and stick with Filicori as your café in the neighborhood.

Great coffee, great service. Awesome shop design. Prices are in line with a typical coffee shop, except always get the cup to go even if you are staying. Their cups«to stay» are smaller and you are essentially paying for less. It is kind of stupid in my opinion. I order a large coffee, etc and get asked if I want it in a 6−8oz mug(Didn’t I order a LARGE coffee lol). With this place… and most places(besides Pret which I love and is my go to for just stopping by for coffee)— I like to think that I am paying for the entire experience… coffee, shop, wifi, etc. I don’t just stop in for coffee because I live close and would just make it at home. Great place to stop in for coffee done right.
