Pizza here isn’t that great. It’s definitely overpriced, overcooked, and service sucks! If you’re in NY, please do a better reserach than me and find a better pizza spot.

Came here after a night out. Got charged 15 dollars for two slices and a water. The slices were not even that great.

My boyfriend and I just ordered delivery from here — large cheese pizza and French fries. The delivery service was awesome — food came in less than 50 minutes… I was pleased. The fries tasted like starchy garbage, so I didn’t really eat much of them — good thing my boyfriend likes to eat garbage once in a while. I almost finished my first piece of pie when I discovered some weird, extra topping under the cheese… A BAKEDROACH.(see picture) This wouldn’t have bothered me too much but A. I’m vegetarian(poor little roachie roo) B. the pizza was old and reheated(inedible, really) and C. my old, trusted Coca Cola was calling my name. I don’t think I’ll be sleeping tonight. I’m full of regret — that roach died to be a part of my pizza. Pizza cravings make me so selfish… I wish I could’ve saved Mr. Roachie. *tear*

Classic NY pizza! Love the pepperoni and sausage pizza! This location has plenty of seating and a. I’ve open feel. Tables were a little dirty, but every time I come to NY I have to stop at Ray’s!

$ 3 pizza for $ 6. Would highly recommend other stores in the neighborhood, in a rush, on a budget, or a human being. The pizza was not bad, but please keep in mind that the quality they provide for their pizza is in my approximation, 250% overpriced. You’re paying for their high rent, not their quality of food.

I not a regular here. But I wasn’t that thrilled with the place. It’s outdated design on chairs. Tables. Entrance and counter gave a bad vibe to eat the food. The pizzas at the time I went looked fresh and just cooked. However, their regular slices didn’t look new or healthy! Their Spinage and mushroom slice was great! I was also a little disappointed with their $ 5 charge on beer and how they didn’t sell water also! I would think there is a high demand on thirst for water! Better luck if you see me come in again.

I put my hand on a counter and got electrocuted by the metal part. The cashier laughed and said it happens to her all the time. Also, the food was terrible.

Let me preface this by saying I’ve only ever been here at 4am, after drunkenly stumbling out of one of the many LES bars nearby(usually 200 Orchard…). I’m sure sober this place is nothing spectacular, but at 4am it is exactly what I need before I put myself to bed. I usually just stick to the plain slices with a side of GARLICKNOTS because why not? They also conveniently sell gatorade which helps with the inevitable hangover. Overall they have a solid NY slice.

They had a good selection of pizza and my onions, peppers and pepperoni slice was great! Sadly, the staff is rude and the place is filthy. If they smiled and were a little bit more accommodating on the customer service side, I’d give them more stars.

Gross pizza, bland, only flavored with salt, served luke warm. Tasted like cheap frozen pizza. Try to fool you into thinking its good by overpricing. Place was kind of dirty.

Me and my friends often stop at this Rays for pizza, so I’ve been here quite a few times. The last time I was here, I ordered a pepperoni slice and a pepper and sausage slice. I asked how much that would cost, and was told each slice was $ 4.50. When I got to the cash register, the man working it told me it was $ 10 total. $ 4.50×2 is $ 9, but I figured maybe it was tax or I had heard the first man incorrectly. I give the cashier a $ 20 dollar bill and he gives me back ONEDOLLARANDFIFTEENCENTS. When I said that he owned me more money, he didn’t even deny it. He just kept saying: «You came in here three days ago drunk! What are you going to use the money for… Beer??» He should be happy I was there three days ago– I’m supporting his business! As we continued to argue, a random guy stood up and said it’s not the first time this man has tried to rob the people who come in late at night after a night out. Finally the cashier gave me a ten dollar bill«out of his own pocket» and told me to never come back. So I won’t, and you shouldn’t either because they will likely try to steal from you and the pizza isn’t even that good. They’re just open late and in a convenient location. (And now that I’m doing all this math again it still doesn’t make sense. Why would he give me back $ 1.15 if I’d given $ 10 and it cost $ 10? I wouldn’t have received any change. And if it was $ 9 I only would have received $ 1 not the 15 cents. So as you can see, I’m smart and he’s not

Never any luck with these incompetent tools… I mean, here’s an example: I just waited an hour for the delivery guy to show up. The kicker? HEDIDN’T HAVEOURFOOD! Called to complain and was blown off. This isn’t even close to the first time anything like this has happened. I’m so tired of their stupidity and lack of care for customers. There’s a pizza joint on every block. Screw these guys.

The pizza crust is what to rave about at Ray’s. Its size is massive but the crust is fresh, doughy, thin, and crunchy. YUM!!! Great corner location to grab a jumbo slice pizza. It’s «quick and dirty» and I love that about Ray’s. Totally hits the spot after a few drinks. Tip: Checking in gets you $ 1 off a pasta dish if you wanna go the pasta route.

The name of this place is completely inappropriate. People think that they are going to the Original Ray’s Pizza. Fellas this is not an original Ray’s pizza spot, though I knew this but still gave this place a try. On our ay to a event on a Saturday night my friend wanted a quick snack and she decide to go for this pizza place. Yes they have thin and thick crust pizzas but god knows how long they have been lying at the shelves. We decided to order the thick crust with veggies. Damm that was the most disgusting thick crust pizza I have ever had, having spent considerable amount of years staying in Chicago, I know how a good thick crust pizza tastes. There was no flavour in that slice and I felt that slice was kind of stale. Yes this place is expensive, tiny slices for 5 – 7 dollars. This is a complete ripoff. Take my advice walk few more blocks and go to Rosario’s where they make fresh pizzas in front of the customers.

One of these times, I’ll have to try the pizza or some pasta dish but we came in for Italian ice. No A/C on a hot day so almost no one was in there. However, they had some unique Italian ice flavors though they didn’t have cherry, which I usually get. I got vanilla with chocolate chips, which was actually a good choice since when that vanilla melted it didn’t stick to the cup. Good to know the option’s out there & that they have decent seating place.

Late night after some Stellas at a nearby music venue I roll up to the counter and «One plain slice» I says. Then take first bite… Thin crust I says. Next bite… Good sauce I says. One more bite… Good cheese to sauce ratio I says. Inhale super hot gooey slice and rub my happy tummy… Mmmmm, okay let’s roll I says. Who was I talking to? Nobody, but this place is full of drunken wackos late on a Saturday night and it’s NYC so nobody noticed.
