I love this European Wax Center, especially Vania! The woman is an eyebrow guru, and she’s also so nice, caring, and funny!

I became a new client at the European Wax Center at the 1100 Second Avenue NYC, location in December 2015. Vania was assigned as my Wax Specialist and did a spectacular job as evidenced by smooth soft skin after my Brazilian Wax. She is very experience in her depilatory technique and has a very light hand. I thought that I would experience some ingrown hairs during the new growth process however I experienced none.
Additionally, I allowed her to do my eyebrows waxing and all I could say is my eyebrows were on #Fleek.
I was so pleased with her professionalism and efficiency that I purchased the Brazilian Wax package. Upon my return I will be adding the Eyebrow package as well.

I recently visited European Wax Center on Second Ave to get my first wax done ever after reviewing their Unilocal reviews. I requested Michelle after seeing such wonderful praise about her and after witnessing it myself, they’re all true. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by welcoming staff and quickly Michelle came out to greet me.
As soon as I entered the waxing room, Michelle was friendly and engaged in conversation to ease the tension. As a first timer for getting waxed, I was quite nervous, but Michelle made sure I was calm and comfortable before starting the waxing process.
It was evident that Michelle knew what she was doing. She swiftly and efficiently removed the hair in the least painful manner because of her awesome waxing techniques.
Moral of the story is 1) I was very satisfied and am convinced that waxing is life! 2) Michelle is amazing and quite frankly you have to go to her if you’re getting waxed!

I recently visited the European Wax Center on second avenue per a co workers recommendation. Upon my first visit, I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, as well as the professionalism. My visit was very to the point, and I was accepted graciously as a walk in. I was sold a package and had vowed to return. However, when I got home I realized that my wax was kind of incomplete. I do not remember the name of the specialist whom I saw, however I do know that I was incredibly unsatisfied with my wax.
Alas, I called the Wax Center and was put in touch with the manager, who was extremely kind, understanding and had my in the next day for a touch up, which I greatly appreciated. That was when I met Michelle. Michelle is hands down the best spa technician I have worked with. She immediately saw the same issue that I did, and was able to quickly fix the problem. Aside from that, she was warm, welcoming, but not to a faulty degree. She was friendly and easy to relate to. I found I actually wanted to make conversation with her, instead of just wishing whomever was helping me would just kindly stop talking! I really enjoyed meeting her, was beyond happy with the results of my touch up, and booked my next wax to be with Michelle.
Upon my next visit to the European Wax Center, I was greeted by Michelle who remembered me (and I think that’s huge from a customer’s point of view, as you want to feel comfortable and familiar with people who you are repeating business with). She once again proved to be extremely knowledgeable on waxing, and was able to give me a few really great tips, while working to make sure that my experience was the best one possible. She did not waste any time, nor did she make me feel rushed. The experience was overall amazing, and before I even left I booked my next visit with Michelle!
Seriously, if you are looking for quality waxing I would compare my trip to the European Wax Center with trips to Bliss Spa. Below that we will put nail salons and the like. European Wax Center is definitely an above average salon, however their prices are competitive, and their packages are great. Aside from that, they have lovely staff and attentive customer service. Michelle is definitely their secret weapon though, as the Unilocal reviews will clearly show you. I highly recommend booking with her! You will not be disappointed.

Great service

This was my second time at the midtown location. My last experience was not the best but today turned that around. I experienced great service. Today was my first time with Stephanie. She is friendly, thorough, and professional. I have been looking for my go to waxer closer to my home, and have definitely found her!

I went to European Wax center today for the first time and it was a great experience! The place was so clean and the people who work there are so friendly. Michelle was my waxer and she was so pleasant and did such an awesome job. I will absolutely be going back and definitely requesting Michelle again!

I was excited to learn a new EWC was opening closer to my apartment, but I was so disappointed when I left. I requested one waxing specialist, but upon being picked up in the lobby, realized that the waxing specialist I was assigned was not the specialist I requested. However nice the waxing specialist was (that I did not request), but she took FOREVER, which made the experience much more painful. When I went to check out, the receptionist tried to charge me for buying my package at a different location that I haven’t been to in years — so it’s not possible for me to have purchased my package there. They were extremely rude and after I was very blunt with them, they finally acquiesced and did not charge me.

Omg I have FINALLY found my HG of waxers… Michelle is absolutely fantastic! Best wax I’ve ever received, and she’s funny and nice too. If you go here, you have to ask for her!!! Highly recommended. Thanks Michelle!

I’ve been going to EWC for almost two years and was so excited when this location opened up because it’s right by my office. I have been twice since it opened and have not been satisfied with the quality of service I have been receiving. I would think it is on the lack of experience of these waxers, but that should not be an excuse when you are paying so much for a service. You’re better off making the trip to any other waxing place in the city, it’s cheaper and you’ll get a much better experience.

I came here Just cuz its close to my job and it was such a pleasent surprise. Michele was extremely nice and so professional. Definitely coming back. I got Brazilian waxing.

I had a pleasant experience doing my full legs with Michelle. She is very fast, and the pain is minimal. She is very professional and knowledgable about her work. After few times doing my waxing with her, my hair started growing less. She recommended me a body lotion for minimizing hair grow. Great service at this location.

I had a Brazilian wax by Laura. She was great! The facility is very clean. The process is unique – no strips, just a wax putty that cools and peels off. No stickiness after. I will be back, no more Bliss waxes for me – this service is better and far cheaper!

I had such a wonderful experience and the place looks stylish too. My appointment didn’t start exactly on time but nothing was rushed at all. I’m so happy with the results. They use a special formula of hard wax and I have to say it feels a lot less abrasive than strips. My waxer was so receptive whenever I pointed out spots of hair so I left feeling confident. The little red pimples I get after a wax disappeared much faster than after a strip/​soft wax too.
