Went for Sunday brunch. Place was packed. People were waiting on the sidewalk. Left. Our name, told 25 minutes, and we were seated in 20 minutes. Service was quick and efficient. Food selection, quality and portion size were all perfect.

My favorite place to grab breakfast after working a night shift. Today the epi east Side baguette was still warm when i broke a piece off. its so simple yet so delicious. After trying several pastries, I have to recommend the pistachio muffin. what do they put in there?!! It’s amazing Side note: Sometimes the staff rushes you a bit, which comes off as rude, but today’s experience was pleasant. All in all the food is totally worth it.

First and foremost, their baguettes are the closest(if not, same quality) thing to Parisian baguettes that I’ve ever had in America. I have lived in Paris and since then, no baguette has been comparable. At the restaurant, they also serve the bread with President butter(also legitimate and French,) and the bread is made on the premises from scratch. Service was excellent and our server was amicable and animated. There is ample seating here and it is quiet. Food tasted like… France. Soupe a l’oignion was very tasty and decent though not the best I’ve ever had. I got the mushroom and gruyère tartine and it was very rich. I would have liked to see it served with a side salad; it was simply put on a plate with no additional garnishes. I also have had several pastries from here and they are all delicious. I’d like to come here for brunch!

Came here with a friend for lunch. I had the chicken avacado sandwich and a cappuccino. The sandwich is a french open faced. It was delicious. Good service and casual place to chat and enjoy a medicore priced lunch. Food was solid and didn’t disappoint.

I only ever have a croissant and a cup of tea here so can’t comment on their main dishes. I really love their croissants. Despite that there was only, it seemed, two other couples sitting down at the restaurant and not many folk at the counter, it took way too longer than I would have expected to be asked for our order. For that reason, I prefer the one at the Flat Iron… which is always busier but the waiting staff are more attentive and, from my experience, friendlier. Would be nice if they served the jams in a dish rather than the pouches that I need to use my teeth to rip open.

I went in here with the full intention of bringing some delicious, baked cookies home to Houston, Texas, for my loving family to enjoy. I bought four cookies — two of the pistachio, one with chocolate chunks and one with cranberries and white chocolate(?) — apologies if I got any wrong… it wouldn’t matter in the end. The first disruption of them getting to Houston involved a flight re-routing. My luggage went direct and I went to Minneapolis. The cookies were in the luggage — would they make it? Would something smoosh them and render them still delicious but in pieces? After a long day of travel, my suitcase and I were finally reunited and when I got home, the cookies inside the Maison Kayser bag were still well-intact. It was late and there was no way the cookies were going to make it to my family until possibly the next day but I feared they would get stale or something horrible. I thought — wouldn’t it be nice to share these with my co-workers? The bag and cookies came in my work bag but in the end… in the end, I ate them ALL. Not all at once. Just at varying points throughout the day — a nibble here, a nibble there — and then to end that first Monday of the year, a whole cookie(with milk) before bed. And, I have no regrets. Next time, I’ll buy a dozen and definitely hope to share. Beautiful space, too. And, please open one in Houston, Texas. Thanks!

Delicious. Addictive. Pastries. Please don’t come here. Your abdomen will not be so flat. Your fat cells will love you. I haven’t purchased anything here I didn’t like. From loaves of deliciousness, savory and sweet, everything is good. I haven’t tried the actual cakes but I’m sure if the breads are good they’re also good. They’re certainly pretty. They don’t shy on the presentation of these delicate French éclairs. The barista also makes a good cup of joe. I find myself here often if I have to be awake in the morning grabbing a cup of Americano and a few pastries that I secretly shovel down my trap one by one because really, I can’t help it. I’m a pastry addict. Favorites include their filled breads(olive, cheese, white chocolate cranberry), the sugar brioche, and the financiers. All of them really. Who needs to be picky if everything tastes so good? They slice the loaves for you if you like. This location also has a nice little cozy seating area. I wish I could utilize it more.

Came here after a major wait at candle café. And I was hugely happy with my choice to dine here. I ordered the seasonal salad– which apparently had changed from what was in the menu. The waiter could not inform me of what was actually in the new salad — just that he liked it. I took a risk and ordered it and it was really spectacular with squash and pumpkin seeds which always make me happy. The waiter forgot the shrimp that I had ordered and he did still charge me for it on my bill, which was annoying, and I still paid for, but he gave me a free chocolate croissant to make up for it(I’m assuming). The place was packed and unexpectedly delicious for a chain in Manhattan.

Visited this place for a Christmas Eve Brunch. Just because the holiday was coming, I wanted to try something very fancy, and I ended up ordering Duck Foie Gras. The baguettes were very crisp, the jam was very appetizing and most importantly, the Foie Gras was fabulous. However, if only the baguettes were warmer, I would have better enjoyed it. My sister ordered crab-avocado dish– I can’t think of the exact dish name out of my head right now, but the crab was tasty, and the avocado was fresh as it should be. For the dessert, we ordered a Christmas-holiday special edition dessert recommended by our server. Although the dishes were bit pricy compared to its portion, I still enjoyed the meal. Great ambience, delicious dishes, and excellent dessert. Definitely will visit this place again. .

4 stars for charming atmosphere; 3 for service(or perhaps it’s perfectly French service), and a total mixed bag for the food. I’ve been to this location many times now and it’s our family’s go-to for party cakes and rolls mainly because it’s fairly reliable and super affordable. The baked goods are on the whole above average. I recommend their Saint Honore, éclair, and Mi Cuit. Pass on the yuzu tart and adagio cake. The savory food is OK — I’ve never had anything exceptionally good but also nothing bad per se.

Great place for brunch. The breads are baked fresh and crossiants are to die for. The French toast was moist and the portion was perfect. The smoked ham and the salmon are very good also. They don’t have a liquor license but they have a wine shop across that will deliver right to your table.

Everything I tried(almond croissant 4⁄5; chouquettes 5⁄5; chocolate plié 5⁄5 it’s fullll of chocolate yumm; chocolate almond croissant 6⁄5 absolutely terrific) was exceptionally good, I won’t argue(except for the financier, 3/5, not buttery enough and overpriced for what it is). But minus one star because it’s very expensive compared to other(French) bakeries. I’m super excited when it’s finally the weekend bc it means I can go stuff my face at Maison Kayser hehe, but I couldn’t afford it on a regular basis.

My friend and I dined here for lunch on a weekday and I’m quite impressed with the ambience here. It’s charming and cute. The crowd had a good mix of middle-aged to elderly folks. It’s a casual restaurant but I would feel a slightly underdressed had I not worn a dress. I ordered their chicken quinoa salad($ 16) and was surprised by the portion size — it’s so small, could fit into the palm of my hand. But I guess we’re paying for the ambience and quality ingredients. My friend had their Croque Madame, which is ham and cheese on toasted bread and $ 14… wow… $ 14 for a ham and cheese sandwich?! And their eclairs, although light and fluffy, are more expensive at the restaurant($ 5.50). If I had known, I would have ordered one($ 4.75) at the bakery by the restaurant’s entrance on our way out. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch(food was fantastic) but I’m sure my wallet didn’t. Great place to treat yourself but not a restaurant I would frequent.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon, there were 6 of us. This place is really popular, but the tables turn fast. It might be because of the mall food court feeling you get while sitting and eating. Not the most comfortable place to eat. The food: very good, 6 of us each got something different and not one of us had a complaint, portions are a bit small but it is French so that’s understandable. $ 14 for eggs, is a bit pricey though. Coffee is great. Service: everyone is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Great service. I also love their uniforms. Very cute. A good place for a quick bite on the fancier side. Items like an upscale au bon pain.

This is second location I have been to now in NYC. The stores are super bright and the design is sophisticated. Our server was very friendly and helpful. He gave us great descriptions of the pastries and desserts. The coffee was very good and the pastries were light and not overly sweet. I really like the Maison Kayser stores. I would be interested to try them for brunch or breakfast sometime. I hope they will expand to Philadelphia.

I stopped by this place for Friday brunch and it was delicious! The ambience itself is cute, with one side being a patisserie and the other being a sit-down restaurant. Coffee was free refill, and was decent. We ordered the crab avocado toast and a chicken quinoa salad. Both were fresh and tasty. However, portions were not huge for the pricing. Alas, it’s New York. A nice bonus was that they brought us delicious baguette to fill our tummies.

I’m a fan! Totally loved this place, initially as plebians, we lined up in front with all the baked goods and were told that this was the takeout line only! So after sitting down, service was quick and pleasant and servers were good at leaving us alone when we were conversing and not breaking the flow! Desserts were good! Bite sized and not overwhelming if you ate it in one go with the different textures and flavors. I had a iced mocha, Decaf! But it still made me unable to sleep so maybe be ready! Overall great place, would return!
