I took my 3 year old son here and they were great. Everyone was extremely patient with him and they happily put on a kids movie that he would enjoy (even though there were other men getting their hair cut). They did a great job cutting his hair and were happy go back and make things shorter when I asked. My son had a great cut and enjoyed watching part of the movie. All of this for $ 19 which is a great price compared to the kids only places we have gone previously. They even gave him a lollipop (they asked me first discretely if it was OK for him to have) on the way out. We will be back! Thanks for running such a great business!

Amazing cuts. Guys there are both talented and personable. Prices are very reasonable. As a visitor from out of town I can’t say I will be a regular, BUT if I did live here I would be in a heartbeat.

I’ve been coming here for a year or so. Sam and the others are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. They charge $ 19 which is a bit more than the shops near me but this is the only place I feel satisfied with my haircut every time.

Sometimes after a bad haircut, I lament having hair and think about all the money saved by bald people who never need to have their hair butchered. I never have that thought with Sam and his crew. They do it right, and have fun with it too. For the price, can’t be beat.

I came here today (¹¹⁄₄) as a walk-​in and was helped right away. Jack took great care of me. He’s smart, friendly, and made sure that I walked out happy with my haircut. As a bonus, I had a great conversation with Jack. I could not be more satisfied and I will definitely be back.

Went there on Sunday after reading great reviews on Unilocal.I lost my hair to chemo, and my hair was growing back so fast that i needed a trim. Didn’t want to pay $ 65 for a minor trim so i decided that i’d try a barber shop for the first time. Miho did my hair. she was efficient, friendly, and skilled. she understood what I wanted and did her magic in no time. Will definitely go back, and I might even keep my hair short!

The absolute best haircut for the best price. Shout out to you guys, always friendly and funny. Won’t go anywhere else.

Came without an appointment on a sunday and got helped out right away by Jack. Gave me exactly what I asked for in a quick amount of time and made sure I was happy with it before I left. All the guys there seemed friendly and the place was nice and clean. For $ 19, I will definitey be back.

I usually get my haircut done here by Sam. He is super friendly and a cool guy. He’s an Arsenal fan so he’s been through some tough years lately. He does a good job overall. I also like that there’s a movie or something playing in the background.

Raised price to $ 19 which is definitely expensive. The quality, as others reviewers mentioned, is great. The staff is super friendly as well. probably a bit too expensive place to go every time for a quick trim though.

Definitely recommend this place for a guy to get a simple haircut. Price is good, and they listen to you. Alex was very accommodating and made quick work of my hair. I’ll be back.

The prices here are great, and even when there isn’t some movie playing in the background, the owners are entertaining themselves. I have only been twice so far (I don’t get haircuts quite as often as I should), but have been thrilled to find a good hair place. My most recent visit I actually had my hair done by a new employee who, while not as chatty, gave me a great haircut in absolutely no time at all.

Take note: If you are reading this on Saturday the shop is closed, but I highly recommend you wait 24 hours and come back on Sunday!
Decided to get a haircut here after checking out the 5 star rating on Unilocal.And this place lives up to the reviews. As soon as I sat down I knew I was in good hands. Sam is a skilled barber and a very friendly guy. He also has HBO GO on the TV. Watching Pacific Rim while getting my haircut was pretty sweet. And all for only $ 16! Wicked cheap as we say in Boston. This is now my go to place.

So I live about two blocks away from this place and I needed a cut before going to a wedding this past weekend and couldn’t make it to my normal place in midtown where I work so I decided to try this place out. amazing amazing amazing. all the guys were very chilled out. this is your classic barbershop. nothing fancy, no wow effect just strait up classic great barbershop. now I have a place next to my job and a place next to my house.

I would give this barber shop negative stars if I could. The barber that cut my hair was extremely rude and disrespectful not to mention I think his first haircut EVER was on me. My hair was so bad even strangers were commenting. I had to wear a hat on and off for several weeks until I could get another haircut. If you want to remain single in NYC go to this barber because women won’t even take a second look at you with a haircut from this barber shop.

great haircut at $ 16…

I just moved into the area, saw the great reviews, and decided to give the place a try. Sam is the man, very friendly and knows exactly what he is doing.
The prices are really great for NYC ($ 16 for a men’s haircut). I pay the same amount back home in the suburbs. Haircut turned out great on the first try — found my new barber.

This Barber shop was really the first one I’ve ever been to before. I wanted to get coiffed for a job interview I had at 6. I called earlier and asked to see if I needed to make an appointment and he said to just come on in. When I got there to my surprise Heat was playing on the big screen television. There were a few guys in there, talking about how awesome the movie Heat is. I really was freaking loving it. Then he offered me a drink which I happily accepted. The drink? A cold bottle of Stella. Thank you very much my barber. That loosened me up fine.
So I once made a personal decision not to ever spend more than $ 30 on a haircut. I was living in the upper w side and I went to two different places and they butchered my hair. Serves me right for thinking I can spend $ 20 on quality. Well, going to this barber shop proved me dead wrong. The entire cut was like $ 22 and it was actually a good time.
I remember while we were all in there, this woman with an interesting dog stopped past to say hello to the barber. The dog I later found out was Rhode –official name is a Rhodesian Ridgeback The dog’s stripe like a skunk down the middle of his back and it’s going against the grain. It’s really odd. I pet the dog and everyone was clamoring and I said «I’d like to get a picture of him.» and the woman was quick to snap and say no at me. «Ok…» I said, trying not to make a big deal about it. Then when she left one of the guys said «No pictures of my dog.» and every one busted out laughing and we all took some joking around about that. I may go back there just for random shaves because it’s really a good time there. I had a really great experience there. So to anyone that is interested in going to a barber, seriously, go to this place. I would rate it 110% if I could.

Been going here for over 4 years, and it’s probably one of the best places in NYC to get a haircut. For the price, service and quality, I really don’t think there’s any other barbershop that can beat this place in NYC, definitely the upper east side
