I just moved to New York and was looking for a great stylist and salon. I did a major haircut and have established LadyRedd as my go to stylist. She is a real beautician with your hair care at the heart of her work. What an awesome experience and great recommendation from Unilocal.The atmosphere is very relaxed and everyone is professional but friendly. Very talented staff with a wide range of services. Shoutout to LadyRedd for giving me an amazing bob!!!

Finding a great salon is like finding a needle in a hay stack. This spot is that needle. Ms. Elita is such a delightful person and although I was 30 mins late, she didn’t give us a hard time. She explained that we would have to wait at this point for services, which wasn’t too long. When you walk into her shop, you get a sense that you’re gonna be takin care of. I forget the name of the young lady who washed my mom’s hair, but she was really nice and gave her some hot tea. I found this to be a really nice touch and it stands out. I love it when people pay attention to details and know how to treat a customer. Oh, I almost forgot the most important part… Elita did a wonderful job with my moms hair. Yep… were coming back for sure.

The people at Elite Conceptions Hair Salon are really nice. The salon itself is clean and the chairs are comfortable. I was there majority of the day last Saturday. I came for a twist take-​down, wash, and condition with plans to go somewhere else the next day to get new twists put in. But as I was there I could tell that the stylist takes good care of her customer’s hair and makes sure that the hair she puts in is of good quality, so I asked if she had the time to also put in the twists. It was unexpected, but she accommodated me and I like the twists I received. The prices are also fair.

Shaniquie Diaz has been doing my daughters hair for a couple of years and we are very satisfied with the professional service, she uses great products and my daughter loves the results, she is 9 yrs old and a swimmer so braids is the go –to style of the day and my daughters hair has grown and healthy and the braids are not too tight!!!

I just moved to NY from PA about 5 months ago and I was in need of a new hair stylist so I looked here on Unilocal and found Elite Conceptions. I called and the receptionist was very nice and made me an appt for the same day.
I went in and they were very professional. They all made me feel very welcome and comfortable. She gave me an appt with Gena. I loved my experience. I needed my hair cut due to the damage and split ends and that was definitely her speciality. I showed her the picture of what I wanted and she did it with no problem. I will definitely be going back regularly. I found my new stylist!

Elite Conceptions Hair Salon is a great place to go for all hair needs. My roommate swears by this place and recommended Latarsha. I recently have been going to see Latarsha and she is a great hair specialist. I have been getting my hair washed and styled with her a few times now. She places a boost treatment on my hair that allows my roots to straighten without chemicals. I always have left feeling like she has improved my look tremendously.
Today I just received my first weave installation. I bought my own hair and brought it to the salon. I am in love with my partial head weave. She did a good job at blending my leave out hair. She was very efficient with the process which took around 4 hours.
Latarsha is very knowledgable in hair care and has provided me with great tips to keep my hair healthy. I find this very important when I see a new hair stylist. She also is very personable and that plays a role when sitting in a chair for so long!
The salon itself is a friendly positive environment. The hair stylists all seem to get along well with one another. Don’t wait to long to treat your hair right ! I also suggest booking your next hair appointment with Latarsha!

If you’re looking for a salon that has inconsistent, un-​posted prices, and hair stylists that lie about prices in efforts to overcharge you, then you want to go to Elite Conceptions Hair Lounge. When you call to make an appointment, the receptionist will tell you one price and when you visit the salon, the stylist will give you a totally different price that is way above what the price should be for the service rendered. For example, I was told by the receptionist (over the phone) that the price of a touch-​up and trim by this particular stylist was $ 65, however; once my hair appointment was complete, the stylist told me the price was $ 90. Really? Since when is a touch-​up and trim $ 90? And, why did the receptionist tell me differently? In addition, this particular stylist only accepts cash, so unlike what the website says about accepting credit cards-it’s not true for all of the stylists there. I mentioned to the stylist that I was told a different price by the receptionist and she looked confused with an attitude, telling me «I don’t know why you would’ve been told that because the price of a touch-​up is $ 75 and a trim is $ 15». Hmmm, sketchy because this hair appointment was more expensive than the last appointment I had here, with the same stylist, in which I got a full perm and trim. I simply paid the money and gave her a little tip because times must be rough if she felt she needed to «jip» me.

I would give the salon 0 stars if it were an option.
I’ve been natural for about 3 years now and decided to get an amino acid treatment since I was going away and didn’t want to go through the hassle with my hair.
Since my stylist was booked, I decided to give this salon a chance given the great reviews and the hair stylists bios of having had 20+ yrs of experience with hair care. It was even specified that they were knowledgeable about natural hair care.
I should have left the moment I walked in. The stylists were perming and dying clients’ hair in that 1 appt. Many of the clients were bald headed w/​patches on their head from overprocessing and yet the stylists continued to slapped in perms and dyes onto their heads.
As anyone will know, natural hair requires gentle care and treatment. The stylists combing from my roots and yanking at my tresses completely was clearly oblivious to natural hair care. Amino acid treatment requires heat so that it bonds to the hair. However, excessive heat will be damaging. The stylists flat ironed my hair, going over a section 10x and had the nerve to pull out a hot comb to finish me off.
So yes 3 weeks post this horrible experience my hair now has heat damage and I will have to cut a few inches off. I’ll be the guinea pig who paid $ 150 to this crap of a salon with stylists who have no comprehensible knowledge of actual HAIR CARE period of all hair types. So I urge anyone with healthy locks and want to maintain it to STAY AWAY. I strongly recommend CeeCee for natural haircare who’s also in Harlem.

Elita the shop’s owner is my stylist and she is like CRACK!!! She is wicked with scissors and a razor. If you want a fly short cut or anything in between she is your girl. Ms. Gina, Shenique, LaTarsha, Precious –Elite Conceptions Hair Lounge is the best shop in Harlem.

My first time trying this salon… Precious colored my hair and it turned out great! She was very nice and everyone seems to enjoy being there. The receptionist was extremely inviting and overall my experience was quite normal although it started late. Precious handled my hair very nicely and I would definitely recommend her as a stylist.

This salon is the best I have been by far! Latarsha is my stylist and before going to her 8 months ago, my hair was damaged and now looks fantastic. She does weaves, style, braid sect… Def got my $$ worth. And all the other stylist in there all great for anything to looking to get done.

As someone who is VERY particular about whose hands are going in my head, I do have to say I will always let Latarsha’s hands in mine. She is the best stylist in Harlem, and I have been to quite a few places that can’t compare. Latarsha specializes in everything! I get my weave and extensions installed by her because she truly knows how to not just do hair, but take care of your hair. Highly recommend her!

Shannique and Precious are great at natural hair. New salon but try it out. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. Not the fanciest physical space, but what matters to me is how people treat me and how great my hair looks afterward. Try it out!
