Ebisu Gift Shop

This store is the cutest! I travelled all the way from Brooklyn to uptown Manhattan just for this store!
They have a variety of Kawaii Japanese characters including hello kitty, Totoro, Pusheen the cat, Rilakkuma (my favorite) and a little of Sumikko gurashi. They also sell some cute mugs and tea wares and a few Craftholic plushies!
The prices are reasonable and I purchased a Rilakkuma letter set with a generous amount of letter papers and envelope at $ 9 and some Sumikko gurashi stickers at $ 3.50 each.
The store clerk is very helpful and friendly when I told her i will be excited if there are more Sumikko gurashi products. She explained that since Sumikko gurashi is pretty new in Japan, they will try their best to bring in more Sumikko gurashi into the store!

This is an adorable upper east side gift shop with many different products available, from toys, to pillows, to delicious candies and sodas! Their Japanese sodas, and whistle candy are amazing, and their pencil cases are so cute! I love this shop!

The space is a little small but there are plenty of trinkets to choose from! The brands range from Totoro to Hello Kitty and it’s a cute store that’s arranged in a very organized fashion. The staff is also very nice. Will definitely be returning!

Great selection of cute Japanese toys & snacks! I was so happy to find Totoro plush dolls & adorable accessories as well as all the other cuties here in their tidy little Yorkville shop. Friendly staff and adorable shop!

If you’re gleefully amused by Japanese toys or stationary and don’t want to trek downtown to Chinatown, you’ve stumbled upon the perfect local gift shoppe. Ebisu stocks a majority of overseas characters that American’s have adopted such as Hello Kitty, Tortoro, Domo, and Lucky Cat. The store is small but manages to suite you or your child’s need for stickers, pens, and/​or plushes. The staff is a bit unsociable and there’s a $ 20 credit card minimum but that shouldn’t stop you from dropping in. Now open for a few months, I sincerely hope they stay afloat in an area that’s always in need of a little bit something different in the way of retail.

There is the greatest Hello Kitty store! If you are looking for some nice gifts, you can get a very good one:)
