Simple but fine. Service was friendly and food was quick. A solid breakfast or lunch spot.

I live nearby and needed a place to invite some friends visiting the city, so gave EHN a go. Was very thankful that it went well. The ‘F’ train stop is right there and Bloomies, Grand Army Plaza/Apple Store, and Central PK are all in the general area and they helped accommodate a party of 6 on a Sun. morning very nicely even though busy.

It’s a busy Diner on a busy street, the staff have few airs or graces but the service is friendly and super speedy, the attitude is «you want it you got it,» but don’t expect anyone to hold your hand or fawn over you. We had a BLT and a chicken salad sandwich, they were both good, it’s a diner doing good diner food, anyone hoping for haute cuisine should look elsewhere.

Tuna sandwich is TODIEFOOOR and the split pea soup perfect as comfort food! I love this diner! And I made everyone in my family fall in love with it too! Favorite diner for sure!

A diner is a diner I don’t expect world-class dining but I also don’t expect rude and passive aggressive waitstaff that demands a higher tip for non-existing service. The menu is typical for a diner and there’s a better crowd here than your average diner though it’s not much an average neighborhood I suppose.

I first came here because I am a Hunter student. I’ve come here three times. ¾ times the waitresses were friendly and nice. However, 0⁄4 times, the food was worth paying for. I usually get the buffalo chicken wings. The first time I got them, they were good, but the wings were really small. It wasn’t worth it but I didn’t mind since they actually tasted good. The second time I got them, they were dry, small and just not good. The third time I got the Buffalo Chicken Wings, they were dry and COLD on the inside. Gross. It’s like It gradually gets worse and worse??? Not coming back. I rated it two stars because the waitresses were mostly friendly.

I honestly thought it was pretty expensive. The place is small and my friend and I had to wait to get a seat. However the workers were very nice and kind.

Pretty average diner. It’s what I’d expect. We just ordered mozzarella cheese sticks and coffee. We were just looking for a place to sit, go to the bathroom, charge our phone and have a cheap snack before going back out shopping. And it fulfilled that so that’s why 4 stars! I’d totally come again. The waitress was very nice too.

This place is terrible! I think the only reason they must get business is because they’re called«Eat Here Now.» After wandering the UES looking for a diner to grab a quick bite, this is one of the only cheaper establishments available. The restaurant is dirty and the bathroom is disgusting; it had water all over the floor and a toilet seat that did not even fit the toilet. The service is just awful. Our server took about 10 minutes just to acknowledge us and take our order. Then, it took another ten minutes to get a cup of water and coffee. We were not once offered a refill on our tiny cups of water or luke warm cups of coffee. The food is meh — standard diner food but much worse than most every other diner I’ve eaten at in NYC. Overall, I will definitely NOT be coming back even if it means I have to work a little harder to find something edible in the neighborhood.

Came here the other day looking for breakfast and just happened to be walking near this place. Ordered eggs and corn beef hash… was mightily surprised that it was tasteful. The coffee was good. Also, the manager(at least i think he was) was very nice and asked me how everything was. I could tell that he has some pride in his place and his customers’ satisfaction. I would come back here. Only gave it 4 stars b/c the food was good, but not THAT good… lol

I always wonder why all diner always get mediocre reviews. What do people expect from diners? Eat Here Now is your typical as you would imagine it should be. The extensive menu has brunch, lunch and dinner selections. We went for brunch. It is quite a tight fit space in this restaurant. The tables and banquettes all snugly fitting in the footprint. The waitress was quick and friendly as she took our orders. They have the Brunch special seems reasonable. The eggs were scramble as asked. The bacon was aright but didn’t quite seem fresh for you just know when bacon has been sitting around. The fruit salad was that. The coffee was adequately strong to perk us up on a Sunday. The experience was typical of diner and no one at the table really complained about the food ordered. So yup, as eats go it fits the bill no more no less. It’s a diner.

I’ve passed by this place for over 2 years until today and let me tell you it exceeded my expectations. I ordered the bacon blue cheeseburger and it was glorious. The burger was big and the meat was thick. The staff were really nice. They would always check up on us to see if everything is okay. Our waitress was quick and super nice. The manager gave us a discount which was a plus. Will definitely come back again.

An old-school diner on the Upper Eastside that always seems packed. I had eggs for a quick brunch here, just their bacon and mushroom omelette with home fries, toast and some tea. I thought it was good especially the home fries– they smashed well-cooked potatoes fried to a crisp and delicious with ketchup. I don’t like when you get a side of barely cooked cooked potato and onion and they call it a home fry. My boyfriend said he didn’t like the coffee, that a diner should have better coffee so I’m only giving it 3 stars. Plus the interior is pretty lackluster, but the service was fast and the bathroom was clean. I left feeling good after my meal.

Eat Here Rarely I had been passing by this place for months intrigued by how full the restaurant was, so today j decided to stop by for an afternoon bite to eat. I’ll say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the Chicken Souvlaki, that while was well present d had mediocre flavor. The food all tasted very fresh, but the chicken was seasoned as if it marinaded for a few minutes prior to being grilled. Not a horrible meal, just not one I’ll be coming back for.

Do not give in to the demand of the restaurant’s name! It sucks. $ 16 for two eggs and some hash browns.

This place is eh. The service was incredibly fast and friendly. However the food was fairly bland. I got a western egg on a bagel and the bagel reminded me of the ones that come frozen.

Standard American diner in Midtown East– 3 stars for A-OK. Pros: * My coworker likes to come here because he is gluten-free and Eat Here Now has a myriad of options(it was very hard for me to decide what to get) including egg dishes that he can eat at lunchtime. * Because of the negative reviews I was scared to pick the wrong item on their menu and be utterly dissapointed. But when I sampled the Spinach Quiche and Potato Salad with salad and honey mustard dressing, the food was not bad at all. The Spinach Quiche was big, flavorful, and I would definitely come back for more. * Service was friendly and fast. * Pricey but it’s standard for Midtown East

I have a fondness for diners of all sorts, but when when it’s a diner with a bar complete with stools and good old fashioned wood paneling everywhere, something about it screams«old New York City» to me and I have to check it out. The irony is, I went to nearby Hunter College and never ate here so I wandered on over for a bite. This isn’t the biggest diner around. There’s a mirror in the back that gives the illusion of space, but overall it’s quite crowded and it’s a bit of a struggle to get to the rest rooms. I sat at the bar, lined with all sorts of baked goods and a line of seats that are probably older than me, yet well taken care of. The service was interesting. It ranged from good to «okay». It sort of depended who was helping me at the time. My waitress was nice personality-wise, but she was rushing back and forth so much that she was not particularly attentive. I also found it odd that I had to ask for a glass of water when other tables were getting it automatically. I think the term«hit or miss» fits here. My food came quickly. I ordered an egg white omelet with mushrooms and swiss cheese along with rye toast and a coffee. The omelet came with a side of home fries. I was a bit surprised at the size of the omelet and home fries servings. They were a tad smaller than I’m used to, but my standards are a bit skewed since most diners I go to are in New Jersey. I will say I didn’t leave hungry, so take that as you will. The food was cooked well and it was tasty. The home fries were a *tad* oily and the rye toast was a bit dark brown, but I like my toast that way so to me that wasn’t a problem. Others may disagree(just be warned). My entire meal came out to $ 13, which is about average in my book. Overall my experience was good, but not outstanding. Not a bad place to go for a quick bite, but just keep in mind what I wrote above.
