Dunkin’ Donuts

This is a DD/​Baskin Robbins hybrid and that’s a good thing. It’s a standard DD in many ways with seating in the back. I don’t really like the seating area, it’s kind of dismal, but the spot is convenient if you’re taking it to go.

I stopped in to grab a coffee on the run. The place was very clean and quiet. The dark roast coffee was good for Duncan Doughnuts. They were fast and I was in and out quickly.

Staff was pleasant and efficient. It’s gets really busy in the morning around 9am and afternoon during lunch.
I got a iced caramal latte and it’s what you would expect :)

Typical DD location but they handle heavy weekday morning traffic like champions. The line here gets really long, and blocks up the front of the store (inside of store not layed out well for crowds). They process orders accurately and quickly, and keep people moving through really well. I’ve been to this location no less than 100 times, and only occasionally had my order messed up. Bottom line, if you walk in and the line is long, don’t let that discourage you from staying. The wait won’t be too painful.

DO NOT order a birthday cake from this location.
Not to complicate this tale but my wife wanted to order from a Haagen Daz store but Nooooo I wanted for my daughter her fav and mine the Chocolate chip Mint. So we go to the Dunkin by our house and attempt to order a chocolate chip mint Birthday Cake. You would have thought I was Edward Snowdon wanting to check your phone lines. It turned out (per my wife) that I was dealing with the manager and I must have repeated my request which was really complicated… A Chocolate Chip Mint Ice Cream Cake a half doz. times following the fellow to the in store refrigerator twice before I realize he had assumed I wanted it now. I than told him no not for several days. Once again I became Edward Snowdon (who actually is an American Hero but that is for another day) and no can do! Well at this point my patience had chilled. I walked out of the store wondering where I had gone astray. Still no B– Cake. Well there is always the Internet. And, guess what it’s easy to order any cake any favor you want from almost any store. Ha, sounds easy, right! Wrong. But, I don’t want to get ahead of myself or my now quest.
So, I ordered my Donut Shaped Ice Cream Mint Chocolate Chip Cake. Pick-​up Friday at 11:00am from the 395 Hudson st. New York, NY… my story that I’m about to unfold is based on my 395 Hudson chapter of the not so great Ice Cream Cake Misadventure.
Being an on time kind of guy I show up at the requested time and within about 5 Minutes I am shown the cake. I’m pretty happy at this point the Internet seems to work. Ha, little did I know. Ten, 20, 30,40 did I fall into a time warp. No cake, thank god the fire department seems to coffee break at this spot but add to my aggravation when in response to my «how much longer must I wait» with a I don’t’ know. Ok, I’ll stop turns out they had no box to fit the cake they sell and when they finally bring it to me my wife’s headache has reached epic heights and no thank you I don’t need a free beverage just let our people go!
I will not be returning anytime soon for any cake.

2 Stale Chocolate Chip Muffins on a Sunday morning. Totally unacceptable for a Dunkin Donuts!

Great service at this location during the Giants Superbowl Parade! I stopped in to grab some coffee as we waited for the parade to begin. The line was out the door and people were ordering multiple items for friends and family. But the staff was friendly, patient, and efficient. My iced caramel latte was one of the best I’ve ever had. Plus I used a gift card so everything was free. During the 46^th Superbowl parade, NYC ran on Dunkin. :-)

This Dunkin’ Donuts is esthetically the typical DD. This location has Fresh Coffee brewed regularly, the donuts taste fresh & the sandwiches are okay. Don’t expect 5 star service but they are decent. This location is larger than many DD located in the city. You couldn’t tell from first walking into this place. When you first walk in, it’s a narrow stretch with their Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Refrigerator on the side and to the back they have a Large seating area which is great place to kick back and have a cup of coffee. There is a restroom available for paying customers. It will be nice to see them install Free WiFi connection.
