Duane Reade

Incompetent and rather unfriendly staff. When the price of an item didn’t match the price mentioned online, came up with a myriad of excuses instead of trying to help.

Have had a few terrible experiences with really unfriendly staff here. Small, limited assortment. Kind of the reject of Duane Reades in the area…

This is a joke right? Good customer service?
I have had multiple incidents with one particular employee, I don’t know his name. He has made my shopping experience very uncomfortable multiple times. Today, I was in the shampoo aisle looking for a brand of shampoo (that you don’t have) and he accuses me of stealing demanding to know what’s in my pocket. I was simply reaching in for my phone.
Another time, I was checking out and he was the cashier. I wanted to email my receipt and he simply refused to do it, which he expressed with an aggressive attitude. Not only that, after I swiped my debit card I started putting the items in my shopping bag, which he did not allow me to do because the payment «has to go through first». This was after I completed the payment transaction.
The few times I have been in the store he’s always running around harrassing customers. I don’t know what his problem is, whether he’s over zealous or resentful, but he is an embarrassment to your company.

Old Asian pharmacist is so slow. Disregards customers who have been waiting. I almost don’t trust his competence. There have to be some good unemployed pharmacists out there.

The older Asian pharmacist is sorely rude and dismissive, never had that kind of negative experience at a Duane Reade pharmacy.
The store is also quite small, which wouldn’t be a problem if they weren’t constantly moving merchandise and making you move through the serpentine aisles like a maze with one too many dead ends. Disappointed, I was expecting better from my new local Duane reade.
