The service was great! Staff was friendly check in with free deep conditioning too! Tried blow and wash service. Almost feel asleep on the chair, lol. Loved it.

Love this salon. I’ve been going to the same salon for 20 yrs my hairdresser moved & I was scared to death to try someone new. The last time this happened it was disastrous. Russel the manager of Davida restored my faith! He’s an amazing artist. Every time I leave this salon I feel beautiful. Each time I let Russel have full reign with my hair & he never disappoints. This last time I got the keratin treatment I couldn’t be happier. So worth the money. My hair naturally is confused both curly & straight in some areas. After the keratin treatment it was so soft people couldn’t stop touching it. Total strangers were giving me compliments. Also this salon uses a special oil I their bleach to keep your hair from breakage. My hair has grown stronger & thicker since coming to this salon. I won’t go anywhere else. Love love love them!!!

I absolutely love the service here. I came in one day as a walk in and I’ve been stuck ever since. I usually just get blowouts and the most cut my ends. I’ve also brought my mother here to get a haircut and she absolutely loved it. Today I went a bit extreme and went from dark hair to a nice blondish balayage. They are very patient and very attentive. So far I’ve seen almost all the hairstylist and they are all great. Not to mention the times that I’ve came I brought my two sons with me and they were very attentive to them and very caring. I love this place!

Always love going to the salon a true gem on the upper Eastside. Russell was recommended to me by my roommates brother who is extremely particular. Russell’s men’s cuts are unparalleled for the price. The salon it’s self is neat extremely clean and tidy. The receptionist Nicole is a Gem and The entire staff is professional and pleasant. Definitely check them out and ask for Russell. He’s my guy!!!

Really happy I found this neighborhood salon. I had overly bleached highlights (from another salon) and Russell did a fantastic job correcting them to a nice blonde. He is very patient and listens carefully to what you want. The salon has a nice, laid back atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

This was my second time going to Davida Salon and it was fantastic. They were incredibly accommodating for my last minute rescheduling and Russell did an amazing job on my highlights. Definitely will be back.

AHH… I have found my salon & stylist. I stumbled upon Davida Salon online when searching for a place to get my hair done. From the moment I walked in and until I was finished I was treated with warm, friendly, genuine care. My stylist Russell and assistant Adriana were AMAZING! I’m very picky about my hair and who touches it! Russell was great and very helpful in choosing the perfect hairstyle and color for me. The products they used on my hair made my hair look and feel fabulous! You can tell that Russell wholeheartedly enjoys what he does. And it sure shows in the end result! I can’t believe how outstanding my hair cut and color turned out! I Absolutely LOVE IT!!! I will definitely be back! Thank you Davida Salon Staff!

Everyone at Davida is absolutely amazing! You’re immediately greeted with a smile, and everyone is so welcoming. After reading all of the positive reviews, I decided to make an appointment with Russell for a haircut. I loved it so much that I decided to go back the very next day for a balayage. I was amazed with the results! Russell did a great job adding in the blonde without making it look stripy or unnatural, and the color looks perfect! My awesome blowout was just an added bonus! It looks exactly the way we discussed, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve gotten tons of compliments since, and I will definitely be back very very soon.

Maybe it wasn’t my luck this time. I saw Davida salon had great reviews… so I decided to get a new color from them.
Wonderful people. Wonderful work.
But what I asked for wasn’t given to me… and I am honestly so sad that I paid so much money for something that is tacky, off color, and with patches…
I am very sad… I wish they would have worked with me… I was told to come back in the next 6 weeks…
I will not wait that long or will I ever go back.

I am beyond thrilled that I found Russell and Davida Salon. My friend Lauren referred Russell and he and his staff have exceeded my expectations on each of my 3 visits so far. Russell is a genius, magician almost. He corrected my botched color, gave a me a spectacular haircut that never looked grown out or shabby even after 8 weeks. On my most recent visit we decided to add some highlights. I have dark brown hair and highlights never look good on me, the color always pulls orange but as I said, Russell is a magician and my color looks AMAZING. The highlights are perfect; very subtle, not at all stripey and exactly what I wanted: enough to be noticed but not glaringly obvious. Very natural and so gorgeous. I could not be more pleased. I am so ecstatic that I have found a new home salon, I will not let anyone but Russell touch my hair ever again!

Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Russell took the time to really listen to what I wanted and make sure I understood what he was planning to do. I was very anxious about having my hair colored after a few bad experiences with another salon, but Russell finally achieved what the other salon was unable to, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.

I recently went back to Davida salon to have Russell cut my hair, and I have to say that I was thrilled with my experience. I love love love the Moroccan Oil products they use (my hair is unfathomably soft…). I didn’t have a very clear idea of what I wanted when I went in — I mainly needed a trim and more shape, and help blending my growing-​out bangs into the rest of my hair. Russell heard me and made suggestions that turned out perfectly. My hair looks and feels great, and I’ll definitely be back to see Russell! I’ll probably just rely on calling to book in the future to make sure I get to see him.
The woman who washed my hair and did my blowout (Melba I believe) was so sweet and did a great job. At one point I said that I wouldn’t mind a slight flip at the bottom of my hair, and she proceeded to put in a pretty intense curl, so I apologized and said that I just wanted it to be straight, which ended up perfect (straight, with some movement at the bottom). So I will say that it doesn’t seem like there’s a middle ground between intense blowout curls and straight (which was my experience the last time too), but Melba was super accommodating and I’m SO happy with how my hair turned out.
It also helps that this place is super close to my apartment, and I got to sip on some wine during the whole process :)
All in all, I strongly recommend Davida and Russell in particular, and look forward to going back (hopefully to get a more adventurous cut next time)!! I’m so glad to have found Davida.

This salon is one of the best kept secrets! I have never had a better haircut or color and this is compared to bumble and bumble. I just went in yesterday to get my hair highlighted. I wanted ombré, but had literally had it done three times at various other salons and it was never noticeable. I spoke to the manager and he had such a calming presence I just trusted him to do his thing. I am so glad I did! I have never had better color! I can’t say enough great things about this salon! You won’t be disappointed. I just hope this review doesn’t send an onslaught of people and I am unable to get an appointment in a few months;)

I was in the Davida salon. I had good experience with Gulia. She did a great job. I really in love with my new hair color. I have got a lot of compliments from everyone and finally I found my best colorist. If u want to look great I would suggest Gulia. Thank u.

thank you to my friends at davida who could laugh with me after a prior haircut misstep (not at their salon). chelly fixed what we affectionately referred to as a mullet and gave me a cut that made a lot more sense. russell hooked me up with a highlight just like the picture i brought in. thanks for putting my hair on the right track again.

Russel, who cut and did some ombré on my hair, was very nice. He took the time to sit with me and go over what I wanted. However, for some reason it fell short.
My hair is very dark brown. After researching ombré and biolayge services I understood that if done incorrectly, it could look orange. After getting the service, my hair does look like I have orange-​caramel highlights which really upsets me. Also, for the cut– I came in just wanting a trim as I am trying to grow it longer and even out a bad choppy haircut. I should have stopped him with the first snip he took off but I trusted his expertise. Well, I now have a very choppy, disconnected, short haircut.
Although Russell was very nice– I won’t be back.

This review is long overdue. I started coming here a few months ago when I moved to the neighborhood. Russell is a true artist! I told him what I wanted and he did exactly that. I’m so happy with my hair and even more pleased because it’s close to home :)

Luz is amazing! After having long hair all my life i finally decided to chop it off and what i love about luz is that she not only delivered an amazing cut but she didn’t question what i was requesting (super rare!). I took my boyfriends little sister here as well for her cut and it also came out amazing and edgy! Gracias luz!
The owner took care of my color and I was not happy with it but he encouraged me to come back within the week and he would work on the color until i was happy! We nailed the look i wanted on the second visit and I receive so many compliments on my ombré all the tim!
The staff is so friendly and the girls who host the salon really go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable.

I came across Davida Salon after looking for a great place for blonde balayage — and I am so glad my search took me here. I booked my first appointment with Russell in March for my first ever balayage experience not knowing exactly what to expect, but the outcome was exactly what I had wanted — blonde highlights that blended naturally into my dirty blonde roots. Unlike foil highlights, balayage is painted on and blended with a brush so there’s no distinct line where the highlight begins and your roots start ruining your life.
I went back to see Russell earlier this week wanting to brighten up my natural, brassy tones. I showed him photos of what I had envisions and without fail, he matched my desired look. This is my first ever Unilocal review and I’m glad I can write one about Russell and the crew at Davida Salon. I would (and have already) recommend them to friends and family.
The entire staff at Davida makes you feel welcome, never makes you feel rushed, and always wants you to love your look.
