I came here a few years ago for my birthday and it was amazing. I don’t know what happened but the food is definitely not as good as it was before. I ordered ribs and they were cold and literally falling apart. The mac and cheese was even worse. The only thing I loved was the arcade. Didn’t think it would be so busy on a Sunday night but it was fun. A lady came around asking if we wanted our picture taken and placed in a key chain. She only worked on tips so we gave her $ 4 for 2 keychains.

New games are constantly being added and the less popular ones are taken away. There are also special temporary promotion ones like the pokemon one that was the for a while – now there’s star wars in place of it. Unless you’re a pro arcade game, there really isn’t a way around winning a ton of tickets in one go. Some games require a collaborative effort between a group of friends to nail, while others are pure luck with a hint of useless strategizing even when you know it won’t turn out the way you expect. Honestly the $ you spend racking up the tickets for a «better» prize could be better off spent just buying the prize online or at a retailor. But you’re really paying extra for the social environment and fun that you get from challenging yourself in all the past games from your childhood carnivals. It’s worth it reverting back to being a joyful kid once in a while. It was Wednesday, which means half off all the games! Although it was already almost 5pm, it wasn’t as packed as I thought it would be, probably because it was still a weeknight for students. Definitely don’t come on a Wednesday when all the public students have the day off or risk having a wait for nearly every game(unless you want to suffer playing only the bad ones that no one else wants to play). I came with 2 others and we decided to eat there. Our waitress was really nice and her service was wonderful. But the wait for food was quite a long time despite haing maybe only 2 – 3 additional groups. it’s fine if you’re a child who came with a parent because you’ll always have the option of hitting up the arcade while you wait, but if you rely on remaining seated to eat before playing, do expect a long wait. When it’s empty in the diner area, there aren’t as many waiters(resses) that pay attention to your table, especially when you’re finally finished eating after waiting a long time for food. Our waitress did check up on us a few times though to make sure everything was good, which was quite nice of her. We ordered the nachos, the bistro steak shrimp lobster alfredo fettuccine, and the mac and cheese short rib sandwich(came with a side of tater tots). One huge suggestion with the pasta is not to ask for it medium well. It came overcooked, too dry, and really tough to chew. Aside from the steak, the pasta was actually really good. The shrimp was will cooked and there was plenty of the lobster alfredo sauce coating each strand of pasta. The Mac n cheese and short rib sandwich was also good. The ribs were a tad bit too sweet for me, but overall, it was decent. But the tater tots were amazing. They were crunchy on the outside but most and soft on the inside. Didn’t have much seasoning in it, but it was fine as is or dipped into ketchup. The nachos were also better than I expected. The tortilla chips were piled with melted cheese, ground beef chilli, beans, tomatoes, sour cream, and jalapeños.

Came here on a Wednesday, which means there is a promotion going on(half price)! Spended hours here with a group of friends. All of us enjoyed a night at Dave and busters. They have really fun games and is a good place to bring a date, families, friends, kids for hang out or just to have fun. They have a bar where people are available to get drinks or foods. The place is pretty dark which isn’t so bad because it makes everything more mysterious. They would give you a card with money that you put inside and you can just insert the card into the machine. After finishing with the games and if you like, you can redeem tickets at the back and get rewards!

Came here with the family on Christmas Day! Can you say packed? lol! Hour or so wait to be seated but it was well worth it. For a sports bar/arcade, I usually go with burgers and fries but I was really hungry and wanted pasta(I know I know lol) so I ordered the steak and shrimp Alfredo. Sautéed, succulent, and zing. Really enjoyed the service and the waiter was doing the best he could on crowded, packed Christmas Day lol.

So my boyfriend and I went here late night to play games and grab dinner. We were seated and given menus. It took the wait staff over 25 minutes to even pay attention to us. They were all talking and joking around with each other. Then a girl comes up and asks if anyone has taken our orders yet because the kitchen closes soon. We say no. She says that this isn’t her section but she will do it anyway. We ask to speak to the manager. The manager takes another 15 minutes to come over and explains that we were seated in an area that isn’t being covered for service by accident. He gives us comp cards for games. Food comes out. Is cold and not appealing. The order is wrong but we were too annoyed to care anymore. I would only go back to play games. Not to the restaurant Dave and busters doesn’t care about their patrons or service.

The rude short African American woman that oversaw the admissions/seating into the bar area denied our small group the seats that we as customers requested(the couch by the window), even though the place was not crowded. Her unapologetic response was that the couch area is reserved for bigger groups — fine, this is normal for restaurants. But then a group with the same number of people wad given that spot that we were denied! One of the reasons we wanted that place was because we had some shorter people in the group that had trouble climbing up on the high seats, as well as the fact that we didn’t want to be crowded together in a small place. That ruined the experience for some people in the group, and her demeanor was overall fairly flat and disinterested. Then we had to wait for a long time to get a waiter, until I got up and asked for one and they had some confusion about who would be serving us. Then we had to wait a long while for our food — granted, it was very good and everyone liked theirs. It would have been much better if our seating was actually comfortable though, and if we got the places we wanted that were given up to a same-sized group of people. Some lady got confused and tried to serve our table the wrong food, so it was evident that there was some disorganization going on at the staff level. One of these things wouldn’t have made a difference, but it was the combination of disorganized and unprofessional behavior that seemed to affect everyone’s mood for the evening.

They have had a 5 $ cover charge which ended up going into 5 $ worth of game play for those that were 21 and over. My friends didn’t even show ID and said they were minors so they didnt have to give the extra 5 $, this had me thinking that the business had gone shady. Anywho, the games were very fun! I had gotten the 12 $ chip package whig comes with 60 chips and then I had used my 5 $ gameplay cover to just reduce my bill to 7 $. BUTTHEN they charge 3 $ for a new game card. like what… you guys are so stingy with getting stripper bills. Enough about the poor customer satisfaction that the screaming front desk reps displayed, and lets talk about the games! This bothers me^ They have classic post-modern phone games like subway surfer, angry birds, temple run, and even flappy bird! these games are«play for fun» type games and then you have the typical chuck-e-cheese games which win you tickets like hoopshooting, bowling, drop the ball, stop the light, etc. Tickets go towards prizes like dolls, little toys, game consoles(unachievable practically), and more wonders of ratchetness. I would say grabbing a drink and play 23 – 27 $ worrh of games would last you a good time with a bit of booze! TUESDAYSAREHALFPRICEGAMES. ^only time you should probably come haha. I came here for my company holiday party and the food was absolutely horrible. I love bar food but this was basically all frozen food and the worst kind of it. The kept passing around the same 3 meats that were inedible. I wish they had simple mozzarella sticks or french fries. The«buffet» was tortilla chips with watery spinach dip, a strange array of salad items, fast food quality burgers, pretzel nuggets(WTF), chicken tenders, and crappy frozen pizza. I eat anything when I’m hungry but I couldn’t even swallow any of this. Oh and also the bottom shelf liquor was watered down. Service was fine, only reason they have 1 star.

We stopped at Dave and Buster’s to play a few games(located in Times Square). Guest must go up to the 3rd level. The layout is really cool. I was surprised this location didn’t have a tall basketball arcade. There are a variety of games for guest to enjoy. The staff was helpful while adding money & validating our cards. I only played the mini basketball arcade since we were on a timed schedule. Surprisingly, it was laid back early in the evening(weekday). I didn’t eat any food here. Dave and Buster’s is a decent place to go to play games with friends. Dave and Buster’s in Times Square was«A-OK».

Awful. Just awful. I hate the idea of coming to any sort of chain in NYC that isn’t a Duane Reade, but this is what you do when you’ve got a group with a need for lunch and a little time to kill before a movie. This was our second time here as we make a Saturday post-Thanksgiving AMC movie a yearly ritual. The countdown had about one hour and twenty minutes before showtime. 1:20 — Greeted at the door with a rundown on how the place works for the two who haven’t been here before. Too easy. Good hosts. 1:16 — Seated in the nearly empty dining room, maybe four other tables and a couple servers in view. 1:10 — Still not greeted, but I can see a server fixing her hair in the big mirror behind another booth 1:08 — Oh, that’s our server who didn’t wash her hands before bringing napkins to the table for drinks. 1:00 — We get our order in after the table decides to all do the eat and play special. 0:55 — Drinks are here 0:53 — Three game cards are here. Confusion that we were all doing the deal. 0:50 — Three more cards are here, but we have seven people. Ask for the last card. 0:47 — Server gave us «all the cards, and now need them back to see which one isn’t working.» I explain that the six cards we were given were in use already, but we were shorted one. Either add one more or take it off the bill and charge for just the meal. She’s annoyed. 0:45 — Exasperated manager brings us another card. Kids are playing. 0:35 — Food is here. Everyone is seated. Chicken features in four of seven plates, three grilled and one via fingers. 4⁄4 are dried and overcooked, but hot. One grilled is served over cold pasta. Not room temp but actually cold. My dish(Cabo chicken) had hot meat, warm rice and cold broccoli. Three orders of fries and one sandwich were okay. Teriyaki steak with mashed potatoes looked like tasty leather, but my nephew with eat anything, so that works. 0:25 — Check back at the table. Our consensus is that we’re not happy, but show starts soon. So we explain politely but don’t send anything back. 0:15 — Flag and ask for the check after we discuss our less than impressive meal. Head of the table asks for a manager and gives the rundown. He takes the check away and says he’ll fix things. 0:10 — Fixing meant leaving the auto gratuity for our table in place, then taking off $ 10 and giving a pair of $ 10 play cards. Thanks? I guess. 0:05 — We leave and make it to the movie. So I guess they got us out in time to earn a star. Won’t be back. Pretty much ever. I might try another location, but not by active choice.

My cellphone was stolen at the bar by an employee. I know that’s a strong accusation but I’m convinced it wasn’t a customer. It was a Brand new iPhone 6s. It was a very slow night with very few customers so I’m reasonably confident a customer didn’t run off with it. In fact, my iPhone finder picked up a signal showing it was still in the restaurant. When I asked the female bartender about my phone, she said she hadn’t seen it but coincidently it was shut off minutes later. The last two times the phone picked up a signal was at the restaurant right before closing time and then 30 minutes after they closed the doors OUTSIDE the restaurant(when the last employees leave). We were the last customers to leave so it doesn’t take a detective to arrive at a reasonable conclusion. Pretty pathetic. Don’t leave your phone out on the bar especially the bar on the side of the games because it’ll disappear but not in the hands of a customer in my opinion. On review of Unilocal at least one other person had their phone stolen at the bar. Another review stated that they were told by security that lots of theft occurs there. Lastly, the bartender herself told me: «hmm, this is happening frequently recently».

Friday dinner for my aunt’s birthday. Got there & no need to wait because theres a lot of tables available. There’s 7 of us in total &4 of us got there first and they seated us anyway. While waiting for 3 other friends, we got our drinks & waiter give us more time to look at the menu. After 10 minutes our friends arrived & still figuring out what to get. We were ready to order & was waiting for our server to come back but he was really busy, in which We understand because he was serving a lot of tables so we just waited for him. But after like 30mins of waiting we asked another server to call our server because he never came back! Finally after 40 mins of waiting, he came & took our order. But it took almost an hour before our food came. 1 of our friends didn’t get what she ordered so we mentioned it to our server again that theres literally 1 missing order. This restaurant is so bad. We spent like 3 hours in this restaurant and majority of it was waiting. :(

First of all, I never write reviews about any restaurant. So for me to leave a review, know it was pretty terrible. To start things, the waiter had such a bad attitude. As soon as we came in, he gave us dirty looks. We didn’t even look at the menu for two minutes before coming to take our order and when we asked for some more time he rolled his eyes. When we did order, he had to borrow one of our napkins to write it down. The guys at the table wanted a beer and a shot of liquor. The waiter said he couldn’t do that because it was considered«double fisting»(?) and went on to tell us about a waiter who worked there and got arrested for serving two drinks per person. That is the most unprofessional thing to do; to talk to customers about staff. It got even worse when he came back with the drinks(he forgot mine) and told us a long story about tipping. «It’s the guys in the Jordan’s who wear big gold chains that can’t afford To leave me a good tip» that sounds like stereotyping to me. Let me just say, I worked in a restaurant & tipping is optional. There is NO rule that you MUST tip a waiter. He gossiped about previous customers«stiffing» him on a tip & if they ever came back he would give them poor service. He even mentioned messing with customers food. When the check finally came, he circled the amount in a thick black circle. We left a cash tip and went to play games. When we checked the bill again, he circled the tip amount which included the gratuity. He completely ripped us off! The way he circled the amount blocked off the actual total and the words«total including gratuity». We tipped him $ 100 on a $ 200 meal! Not to mention the food was terrible and over priced. The drinks were weak and the games were old. Don’t come here unless your looking for poor service, insults and getting ripped off.

Don’t come here to eat, please, and you’ll leave much happier. The drinks(happy hour is M-F until 7, if I remember correctly) are good. Strong, and they have a large drink menu and most drinks are $ 6 – 7. I come here on Wednesdays for half-off games and it’s very worth it. Save your cards, as there is a $ 3 charge for every new card you purchase. So I’d suggest just combining cards with a friend instead of having your own. I usually only spend about $ 10 – 20 per Wednesday for a couple of hours of fun. It does get overrun with kids at times, but what do you expect? I like Dance Dance Revolution, the Zombie 4-D shooting game(by the restrooms), the clown toss game, Mario Kart, skeeball and the Light game(by the ticket redemption booth).

Dave & Buster’s is one of the few arcade spots available anymore, and it’s one of the more high end ones. I’m not going to lie… I really enjoy this place, which might have a lot to do with the fact that I grew up in the 90s, before great home entertainment systems like playstation was ever available. Video games at home are definitely higher quality than anything at D&B now, but there’s something to be said about 4 friends lining up in racing seats side-by-side in a match, no matter how old Daytona USA is. It’s also always a blast playing the mini basketball shoot-out in a group And they serve alcohol. The food here is sub-par, however. I’d rank it below the likes of Applebees, which for New York standards is actually kind of terrible.

3 – 3.5 stars. Have been here a couple of times and it’s been fun! It’s located in the middle of Times Square though so prepare to deal with the crowd. They have a great selection of arcade games and a pretty decent bar with some interesting drinks. I tried the watermelon snow cone and it was like candy in liquid form(delicious but probably had very little alcohol). Also tried the calamari-a little too salty and greasy. Service at the bar is super slow but the employees are generally pretty friendly, which is appreciated. It’s definitely a decent place to come to when you’re in the area, but probably not worth commuting to especially. Important to know: on Friday and Saturday nights they have a $ 5 cover charge(not sure at what time it starts-people have told me after 10 pm but I went on a Friday at 9:45 pm and they still had the cover). With the cover, they give you a $ 5 arcade voucher. You then have to pay for a «power card,» which is $ 3. So if you’ve been here before, don’t forget that card! It was super crowded on a Friday night. Overall it’s better to come here during the afternoons. Finally, it’s actually fairly easy to win prizes in this arcade and not too expensive to play the games. There are kids and adults(although most of the kids tend to be older). In summary, it’s some okay/good entertainment for an hour or two if you’re in the area! Avoid the crowds on weekend nights-there are definitely more fun things to do further downtown.

Ok day two and I have to say they get it. Service, games, food, it’s where I hide from the craziness. They always have something tasty, different, and fun foods(it’s the testing restaurant for new items on the menu)… Today I got the beer chicken; flavorful, juice, and ohhh MY!!! Then this pretzel pizza is OFF the chain! We have sooo much left over. Taking this home for later. Blue moon on tap with orange juice. The game area is my favorite random things to do in the city?! I love yo let loose and just play games for a few hours! I’m tired after that… Love…

Think grown up Chuckee Cheese. Located in Times Square this place is over stimulation at its best. My bf son was celebrating his birthday and we opted to do this in lieu of a party. We go there about 3 on a snowy Saturday. The place was beyond packed because students were out on Winter Break. We had lunch. I had their famous chicken strips and fries, my bf had a burger with bacon and buffalo chicken which he took one bite of and was done. The bday boy had buffalo wings and a milkshake. After about an hr and half we went to play. They both had about $ 30 game cards which they blew I’m no time and was stacking tickets. All around a great time. I want to go back with just adults when I’m not on the side holding the damn coats. Lol

CHILDREN. CHILDRENEVERYWHERE. It’s annoying. This place is supposed to be an «adult playground», but instead it’s just a place where parents can drink and let their kids go play. Not cool. I came on a Saturday night for a friend’s birthday so it was super crowded. FOOD The food was worse than your typical Applebee’s or TGIF’s type food and priced higher. Blah. SERVICE The service was a little slow for our party of 10 but it was a busy Saturday night so this is understandable. GAMES Games galore!!! Too bad so many were either hogged by unsupervised children or not working. However, when I did get a chance to play I did have fun. I purchased 135 credits for $ 25(plus a $ 4 fee for the game card. whatevs…) and honestly feel like I got my money’s worth. I still have credits left over, got tons of tickets and could have had so much fun playing all the games. So there is potential for a good time. I just think this Times Square location is a different type of crowd and gets crazy crowded for a smaller space than most.
