RIP to my favorite of favorites when it came to hot dogs. Nothing helped cure my drunkeness or satisfied my ridiculous cravings late on a thursday, friday or saturday night in LES like this place. I can still taste their stoner dog and cilantro dog to this day… no other hot dog spot has ever made me as happy including crif dogs in st. mark’s or gray’s papayo. sigh. RIP forever.

Oh, Dash Dogs, Where Art Thou? I have missed you and will continue to miss you. What am I to do when the mystery meat craving hits me at 2am? I cannot cheat on you by rendez-vous’ing with those lesser haunts(namely, Crif Dogs & Gray’s Papaya). My guilty conscious simply would not allow it. I fondly remember the good times we’ve shared, of which the highlight was when you introduced Bat Girl to me and Robin on that Halloween night. I shalln’t forget. No other hot dog vendor can offer the topping combinations(mmm guacamole and bacon) that you did, nor come up with aptly and humor-laden names such as the«Stoner Dog». Please rise from the ashes and resurrect yourself. NYC’s LES will not be the same without you. Oh how my stomach aches knowing that you have passed on, to eating joint heaven.

To my left, Dash Dogs. To my right, Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery. Up the block, Verlaine. Down the block: Schiller’s. Around the corner: the Back Room Oh my god, this is like the Bermuda Triangle of drunken and appetite busting debauchery! Dash Dogs has that one hot dog topping that any coronary victim would have a hard time resisting: Cheez Whiz with bacon. Ooooooohhhhhh… I think I just had a foodgasm just thinking about it. The oompa loompa is downright dangerous too. But if I’m gonna go, at least let me do it with a smile on my face, with some kimchi on my lips.

do your thing, do it well, fill a need! Always the perfect end to your night out. The cooks are always having fun and I am totally grateful to them for supplying their amazing dogs and sliders to the drunken masses. The toppings are so fun and crazy, the tunes are usually bumpin from the kitchen, and this tiny gem has a traffic pattern. If you mess up this flow, the cooks will call you out! pineapple chutney, wasabi mayo, cheez wiz, jalapenos, bacon, fritos, kimchi, etc.(don’t put those all on one) The choices of toppings are overwhelming, but they have already made excellent combos and given them fun names. Fat Baby, Oompa Loompa, Stoned way better than Crif

the oompa loompa, baby. kimchi, corn relish, sour cream, hot dog and a party in your mouth. this is all i ever get. it’s simply the best. oh my gawd… i’m having day dreams of this right now. YUM. i like how they’ve named their specialty hot dogs after popular LES hotspots. my favorite is still the«Oompa Loompa»!

I was craving a veggie dog all day yesterday, and being new in town where else could I turn but to Unilocal?Unilocal didn’t fail me — Dash Dogs was awesome! I have been to Crif Dogs before and while I could have gone there to scratch my itch, I don’t have especially fond memories of the place. I don’t have terrible memories, but the two meals I ate there don’t stand out in my brain. The guy working the counter at Dash Dogs was not only totally friendly and cool, but he obviously puts a lot of care into what he makes. I ordered a veggie dog with sauerkraut, garlic aioli, and fresh jalapenos. The ingredients were all of good quality and very fresh. My veggie dog looked like a tiny work of meatless sausage art. The dog was so good that when I decided to have another, I ordered exactly the same thing. My boyfriend had three sliders with differing toppings. He liked them quite a bit. The total for two dogs, three sliders, and a soda came in at around $ 16. Not the cheapest fast food in the world, yet not highway robbery either. Especially in this town!

I was completely blitzed when I came here. My only memories of this place are as follows: «Oh where am i? Smells good. MMMFOOD. What? What Should I get? I’ll ask the guy. Guy says something. I get it. WOW! TASTY!!! CRUNNNNNCHY with chips. Where’s the beer?» End of story!

I always wish NY hot dog joints served more than just ballpark or beef but damn does Dash dress them up well. This is the perfect late night snack. The infamous stoned is SO good. And the guys who work there are super friendly.

As a kid I would put Fritos in my sandwiches and hot dogs, and my mom would promptly smack me. Now, after getting stupid drunk on the LES, I pay six bucks for a couple hot dogs with crushed Fritos, cheese wiz, and chilli. This concoction is called the Stone Dog, and I’m sure it’ll get a disappointing reaction from my mom after I drunk dial her at 4 in the morning.

Why do I crave these dogs oh so much? At first I liked Crifdogs but after I was introduced to Dash Dogs… Crifdogs who? My first time there I went there after a late night out on the LES and I wasn’t too sure if it was the alcohol or was I truly in love with these dogs! Guess what? Went there sober and they were damn diggity good! I tried the screamer — -eeks why my friend lied and said it wasn’t spicy! Usually I can handle spice — lots of it, but what are in these suckers? (My lips be on FIRE!) So to be on the safe side… just go with the garlic and cilantro or some greasiness — -FAT BABY! The infamous stone just reminds me of what we called down south… A FRITOPIE!!! My only gripe is they don’t deliver outside of LES!!! *sadness*

Went here last night for a late night hot dog… not too bad. Hot dog, chili, cheez wiz and crushed fritos. Perfect drunk food. :) Cheap, quick and tasty… if your on Rivington and feeling like a dog… Dash on over.

Best veggie dog ive ever had right here. Get it topped with the vegetarian chili and you’ve got yourself quite the lil snack. If you’re in the mood for something more substantial get the dog and slider combo, comes with a drink for around $ 7. Not bad. If youre buying one dog seperately its going to cost a bit and you’re better off getting a combo. aside from being a tad pricey for a hot dog it gets a gold star approval from yours truly. VEGAN friendly!

Dash Dogs opened a couple of years ago as a «fun project» for the owners, who own a seafood restaurant down the street. They sold hot dogs with different toppings and had lots of customers after the bars closed(who doesn’t like to eat junk food when they’re drunk?!) and started adding in sliders(bite-sized burgers) after eight months or so because they were sick of eating hot dogs all the time(I don’t blame them). The restaurant is bite-sized itself with only a couple of stools and some standing room, but the place is very cute… and how long can you stay somewhere eating a hot dog, anyway? The toppings are all listed on the mirror(cute touch). I ordered the dash combo, which is one slider, one hot dog, and a soda, for $ 7(you can pick any toppings, too). I picked the Infamous Stoned, which came with chili, cheese wiz, and crushed fritos and a slider with avocado. The hot dog was pretty delicious, especially with the cheez wiz and fritos(what a nice touch). I can imagine how long the lines get after the bars close because this would definitely hit the spot. The slider was okay, but nothing special(maybe I picked the wrong topping. Next time I’d try something with the garlic aioli). Overall, I think the place was really cute and the owners were all really nice and talkative, and I think I’d stop by again when I’m on the LES. Go check it out! If you want to see my pictures from Dash Dogs, check out my website: . Happy eating!

awww man this place is so good! they season their beef to tasty perfection and if that’s not enough you can add toppings that make them delectable. Hence the name Dash, this is a place to go when your in a rush and need a tasty meal. There are no seats and you can stand at the middle counter or take to the sidewalk. tiny lil hamburgers on a soft bun– so good we went before and after late night drinking– they stay open late. P. S. they have a kimchee topping too!

Cute little dog shack on Rivington. They have hot dogs, sliders, and combos which range from $ 2-$ 8. Many regulars(who get free hook ups) and drunk bar hoppers frequent this place. The entrance is like a Duane Reade, enter through the right and exit from the left(some people never get it)

Perfect late night sliders! I just spent the weekend in NYC partying with my brother who goes here all the time. We went by twice in one weekend because the sliders were just that good. There’s a creative assortment of burgers with all sorts of tasty toppings. We had a few of the combinations, but some of the toppings there are: chili with fritos, garlic and wasabi mayo, cilantro salsa, avocado, etc. The staff is really friendly and the service is fast. These guys also have a great little seafood restaurant nearby called Tides which we dropped by too. The prices are very reasonable so drop in the next time you are in this part of town.

Late night doggage — nothing better. You’ve just danced you ass off at one of the nearby clubs, or drank yourself under the table at one of the local bars. You need a few non-alcoholic calories before you head home. Get to Dash and grab a couple dogs. Six bucks gets you two dogs(all beef), all the toppings you want, and a soda. Great deal when you are tired and hungry. I have even been told they make a mean vegi-dog too, so you Veggies out there can roll up too! If only they had coleslaw as a topping — that would be heavenly!

Many people talk about the hot dogs at Dash Dogs but the best thing about this late night snack spot is the sliders. Three large pattied sliders cooked right in front of you with an amazing amount of toppings for 7 bones, which includes a drink. I suggest the Traditional Stoned, it’s chilli, cheese, and crushed frito chips on top. It’s like a Frito pie with a hambuger under it. So if you are ever at Fat Baby(which they have a dog named after) or anywhere else of Rivington hit Dash Dogs for a late night snack, and be prepaired for good service and some blaring hip hop music.
