I once ordered a burger and a blizzard here… ONCE. I WONT be coming back, unless I’m getting a free blizzard or dessert. The burger was DRY, on the well well done side. Either their parties are frozen and bad quality, or the cook was having a bad night. The staff was regular The restaurant wasn’t too clean I did get my blizzard served upside down… that’s cool right lol Happily I’m off red meat, so I won’t be back for burgers if I do re-visit. NOTWORTHY — bring something better.

Fun fabulous and oh so all American! this Dairy Queen is like many others around the country with one exception — it was the first in NYC! The lines are always long, so be prepared to wait — but that is part of the fun of this fast food chain. Staff is hit and miss, since some are so nice, some are so-so and some are even upset they have to work for their paycheque. But over all — the staff is nice and the bad ones only last a short time. Your opinion matters, so if someone is snippy with you share that with the manager or the store won’t know. The managers here are terrific and very customer oriented. The food is as hoped and yummy! Who doesn’t love ice cream? My photos on here are from opening day … the lines are not nearly that long any more.

Ordered a Banana shake and a cheese burger. They put mustard on it with out asking me if I wanted mustard on my burger. I looked on as the manager was popping burgers in microwave. Hoping that he won’t put mine in as well. Well Guess what .?.Burger went right in like all the rest and it came out a Hot Mess! Way over priced to be such low quality.

I have no idea what DQ is or what their food is like, but their vanilla soft serve is so good it deserves it’s very own store. I came in for a chocolate cone because chocolate over vanilla, duh. They were all out of chocolate and only had vanilla so I settled. I’m so glad I did. It was perfect. I want to come here every day.

I finally relented and tried the $ 5 lunch deal. The burger was well done but had enough stuff on it to make it taste good. The portion of fries was adequate. It also came with a big drink and a little sundae. All in all a BIG, filling bargain.

The service is awful: confused staff, long wait for food(even when there aren’t any customers), the dilly bar I want is never in stock. I like the ice cream here. But, I don’t go out of my way to make a trip to DQ. At least the place is clean.

Yes I finally went to check out the Manhattan DQ. The combo deals are great. I had some kind of chicken deal that comes with a sundae. I know it’s a fast food place so maybe I shouldn’t be complaining but the music playing when I was there was some kind of dance music and it was really too loud. Other than that everything was good. I like the idea of table service at a fast food restaurant.

1 star for the $ 5 lunch deal with a dessert. 1 star for it being actually edible. The other stars, however, were lost when it took 25 minutes for a burger and fries. I watched my blizzard melt on the counter as I waited much longer than customers who came in 15 minutes after me. I feel a little childish posting a negative review of a fast food place in the middle of Manhattan whining over ice cream. However, there was no rush at 3PM on a Tuesday. And it’s fast food — a blizzard isn’t rocket science. When I spoke with who I assumed was the manager, he fumbled around and picked up the first burger and fries at the warming station, stuffed it in a bag, and handed it to me. He seemed very anxious or hurried and I think the employees working there were stressed out by him. He then went to the blizzard station, picked up what he thought was my blizzard, offered it to someone else and when they rejected it, brought it over to me. I asked if «If this is my blizzard, why did you try to give it to that other customer?» and I got a mumbled reply that it was, in fact, my blizzard. Follow-up: It was not my blizzard.

Nice hidden spot! I Had a mushroom swiss burger with extra bacon and chicken tenders! The quality of everything was great. Way above all the other fast food chains. The upstairs seating area nice and comfortable and there was nobody there which was even better. If your close by its worth checking out! Great quality!

The workers are always friendly, however every time I have visited I wait over 10 minutes to receive my order. There is a visible clock timer that shows you your order number and how long you’ve been waiting. I’ve never received my order before it goes«in the red.» Today’s order included a mostly melted sundae, but I wasn’t going to wait another 10 minutes for one. You can’t beat a $ 5 lunch, but you definitely get what you pay for.

DQ NY: Manhattan: Union Square 12pm Tuesday 15th March 2016 Four Stars I came here for the Free Cone Day. As advertised, I received a complimentary Small Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream Cone. Their desserts are super pretty looking. Each cone looks like it came out of a magazine. I waited 3 – 4 minutes to get my cone but it wasn’t at all. There is even seating upstairs. I would like to try one of their $ 5 Lunches.

Who can complain about an establishment that gives out free ice cream cones? There are rarely any lines here. And if there are any lines they moves smoothly and quickly. I love DQBLIZZARDS. I’ve had almost every flavor and they are so yummy especially the brownie blizzard. They make them super thick so they take a long time to melt even in the summertime. Even though this location is in Manhattan the prices aren’t bad. Join the DQ club and they will send you 6 bogo coupons for blizzards throughout the year

Dairy Queen my childhood treat. Every time I see a Dairy Queen, it’s the same thing. Chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard… ever since I knew how to talk:) Problem with this one is the ice cream is mostly melted sometimes. So it’s blizzard soup. But the one I had in Connecticut was better than here.

Went here because I have not been to a Dairy Queen that serves hot food. Because of the location and lack of Dairy Queens in NYC, this place was very busy when I went. Firstly, the service here was not too great. They actually forgot about my order and had me standing there 20 minutes for my food. While I was waiting, I noticed another person whose order was mixed up too. They told the cashier that the ice cream flavor they were given was incorrect. The cashier area appeared to be very disorganized. The hot food was so so. Their burger and fries reminded me a lot of Wendy’s but more expensive. In fact, all the stuff here is overpriced. The ice cream is watery soft serve but they charge $ 4, $ 5, or more for small size offerings. You are better off going to a higher quality place like Cold Stone.

Location is nice but blizzards are overrated and they taste far from ice cream, more like frozen watery milk… You’re better off going to your local supermarket and buying a pint of Ben and Jerry’s

I had my first Blizzard many many many years ago, at a gas station in Singapore. I will never forget that moment, it was every ice-cream lover’s dream come true. So the second I heard about a DQ opening in NYC, I was a woman on a mission. I was determined to a) get one and b) introduce my other half to the magical world of blizzards. I ordered the salted truffle caramel, we took a seat, placed our tag on the table and waited. It didn’t take very long before she came with both our blizzards, tipped them over to prove their point and then it was time to dig in. OMG, it’s even BETTER than I recall from my childhood. This makes me so happy.

I haven’t been to a dairy queen in YEARS. You won’t find it hard to escape a visit in the Midwest. They are in every town, on every street corner, in every neighborhood mini mall subdivision complex. I never thought there would be a day when I would see one on the east coast and have all my wishes come true but its just not the same. Things you will see at the 14th street dairy queen that you will not see in the midwest: –Locked bathroom doors –Homeless people or drunk people chillin –A little uncleansiness –Blizzards that are half melty and don’t hold up to their name –Insanely high price boosts Yep. That’s pretty much the key factors. I was guilty of being tipsy myself last week and had to use the bathroom pretty bad so figured, Screw it, Dairy Queen trip! I’m gonna get my blizzard ON! For only a little over $ 5. For a small I have to add. I didn’t know there were mini sizes else wise I would have gone with that because a small is pretty huge. After inspecting the menu for a bit I went with a limited edition special one of Peanut butter cookie dough smash. It was great ice cream and even better cookie dough. But that outrageous price combined with having to get a code for the bathroom on your receipt. And it was melty. I hear their actual food is pretty good but have never tried it. A solid option for sobering up on the way to the F train though for fast food so I can’t knock too many stars off for its urban quirks. I also feel like the hype has died down because there was no line when I went.

I’m sad my burger was burnt and nasty and tooo much mustard, NOTHING like back home, service was not so good and the manger was a little much. I was by myself, I ordered a meal with a free cone. They gave me my cone as I was paying, but didn’t want it until I was done because I only had two hands. I also wanted it to go, which I should have said to stay so I could sit and they bring it to me. Lesson learned. When the manager gave me my food, I voiced my concern he said«I guess you will have to figure it out». Just plain rude. I will be back for ice cream NOT food. I wasn’t a fan.
