Cute Toonz

Cute Toonz is easily located on 5^th Avenue between 35^th and 36^th St. Having stayed at a hotel a block or so away from this location on 35^th, I walked by this store on several occasions on my walking escapades through the city. Deciding toward the end of my trip that I would grab a couple standard souvenirs for myself and the folks back home, I figured a quick stop into this store would do just the trick. And that it did.
An unexpectedly large store, this location offers every kind of cheap souvenir (if only in price) that a tourist could need. I browsed walls, shelves, and racks of t-​shirts, hats, paperweights, pens, snow globes, picture frames, magnets, key chains, ornaments, postcards, books, and the like. Besides this usual merchandise, the store also carries non-​NY-​focused products highlighting cartoon characters such as the Simpsons, etc. Marveling at the sheer number of items available, it took some time to finally locate my desired items at an acceptable price.
Spending about $ 25, I walked away with a keychain/​bottle opener, shot glass, ornament, and a decent sized snowglobe with the city skyline. The cashier worked efficiently and quickly boxed up my fragile items for the trip home. Certainly not the deal of the century but I knew what I was in store for and got what I needed.

This store has the usual NYC souvenir’s but also have some fun stuff, if your a Simpson’s fan they have Simpson figures including a talking Homer figure, also some Family Guy stuff and others, worth checking out if you’re in the area.
