I can’t believe that I didn’t know about this place until recently. Custom Fuel is one of those places where you can get a really good personal pizza(and leftovers because the pizzas are large) for under $ 10. And yes, they have vegan cheese which I really appreciated. You walk in, order what you would like go around to see if you would like anything else extra(olive oil, parmesan cheese, all that jazz) and just wait. They also have a combo for a drink and some garlic rolls, which I ordered but they forgot to give me the garlic rolls. Otherwise, Custom Fuel is a great way to get your pizza customization on, or just add a bit of your own flare to the ones they already have.

Our first experience at Custom Fuel Pizza was deliciously amazing! The concept of Custom Fuel Pizza was spot on – High Quality Ingredients, Incredible Flavor, and FAST Service. Think – Quizno’s(For the Toaster Oven method), but for Pizza. The team at Custom Fuel Pizza were all friendly and accommodating, and worked well as a team – even going the extra mile to assist another customer with special needs. A+ Service. I loved that the food prep area was out in the open for all to see – properly covered and protected, of course – but having food prep out front, ensures transparency and better cleanliness, in my opinion. Great tasting pizza. SUPER Clean restaurant. Amazing Service. Definitely A++++++ for this location… I’ll be going back and recommending it to others, that’s for sure!

This ain’t yall typical pizza spot in Harlem. This not a $ 1 slice joint! Can we give out awards to other Unilocal Eliters we know in real life for a review that leads to you visiting the establishment and actually loving it??? This pizza was amazing! Life changing! This award goes to my dear friend, my fellow Harlem Unilocaler, my MVP, my Mardory. So dropped in on a Saturday around 6ish and taking my husband in to going with. He ordered the 4 meat pie and added bell peppers. Since I have been studying the menu like a test prior I went with the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s a no brainier because they put chili oil on it and ROSEMARY! It took less than 10 minutes for it to be ready and I was shocked. The pizza was pretty darn awesome and even my husband gave it two thumbs up. And he is hard to please when it comes to food. The employees were kind and checked in on us to make sure we were enjoying our food and our experience. The space is pretty decent sized and it appears during the warmer months you can sit outside and enjoy your pizza crafted by God! I think this place has easily become one of my new favs in Harlem because of the fresh ingredients, food is made lightening fast, and the staff is awesome. WHATISNOTTOLOVE! P.S — They are on Postmates!

Not sure why other Unilocalers are so enthusiastic about this place. The pizza is decent, but nothing all that special, especially when you consider this is NYC(where good pizza is not very hard to find). I honestly don’t know why anyone would eat at Custom Fuel. There are other better places in the area that deliver(e.g., Babbalucci, Bettolona), and it’s not as if Custom Fuel has a nice ambience. I suppose it’s a bit cheaper than those other places(i.e., $ 9 instead of $ 14), but the extra $ 5 at Babbalucci/Bettolona is well worth it.

Wood tables and outdoor seating lend an air of casualness to the atmosphere here, and their wood-burning oven is prominently displayed. As for the pizzas? The pies feature produce grown freshly, and have cemented themselves as a must-eat on any Harlem tour.

I stumbled into this place very close to closing. Despite clearly being halfway to lights out, the store that is, they took my order. I was a little out of sorts but knew I could not go home without eating dinner. I quickly recalled someone saying that their Brooklyn Bridge pie was beyond great so I ordered a pie to go. While one staff member prepped my pie for the oven I noticed a fridge with a full stack of beers. This was unexpected and a good thing to remember for the future. Out came my pie after being finished by a second staff member. A short ride home exposed one thing for sure: the Brooklyn Bridge makes for a delicious pie. The location is clean, the pies are fresh and the staff was super friendly. Oh, and it was a cheap meal at under $ 10. It’s not gourmet, nor is it fancy but it does taste good. Efficient and fast for a bite on the go.

Excellent pizza! It’s a small shop on the corner of Frederick Douglass &123rd. Their ingredients are fresh & their employees are super chill. They have a pretty good selection of pizzas, but if you don’t like their pizza menu, you can customize your own. Not much else to say but I highly recommend Custom Fuel Pizza if you’re in the area.

Unbelievable pizza. Even better service. Our server, Whisper, was an absolute sweetheart to our obnoxious party of 24 people.

Yum yum yum! Customized pizza + friendly staff and reasonable price$ = can’t wait to go back! I tried the vintage buffalo chicken since this was my first visit. It was very tasty, albeit a lil salty because of the buffalo sauce. But the crust was freshly baked and the ingredients were nicely paired. I’m sure the other designed pies will be equally as tasty. Overall this place is a wonderful addition to Harlem booming restaurant scene and definitely worth a visit for lunch and dinner! NB: this is a pork meat heavy restaurant so my fellow non-pork eaters you have been warned– just get a lil extra creative when you get your pie.

A good quick place for lunch! I popped in after grabbing some tea across the street at Serengeti. It was 2pm on a Saturday and fairly empty. The menu is very simple and the food made fast. I chose the margherita without any cheese as I am vegan and opted for extra basil. I’m a fan of thin crust and for the price and convenience this place delivered. If you’re in a rush or need a quick affordable food option this is a safe bet, ideally for lunch.

The best custom pizza place I’ve eaten at. This place is so much fun! And I love the ingredients. As soon as I saw rosemary, my knees got weak! Before I even ordered for the very first time, I knew what I’d be having the next few visits. The one way street line to order was confusing at first, and I did feel a bit self-inflicting pressure as I was creating my pizza. I love the crust, thin and flaky just how I like it. It held up to all the toppings. NOT flimsy at all, which is the Achilles heel of any flatbread pizza. I got an original crust with pesto sauce, goat and burrata cheeses, roasted red onion, Roma tomato, sausage, and topped with fresh cilantro. It’s a long rectangle and cut into 8 pieces. Super fast, too — took less than five minutes to cook The margaritas are frozen and flavorful. They also have a rum punch and dollar off happy hour(4−7pm)…next time… My only regret is not trying this place sooner!

Very friendly staff that greet every customer as they enter. Fresh ingredients from shrimp to meatballs & all the regular stuff. I like that each pizza is freshly made to order. Hence, the name. I like the multi-grain w/olive oil, pesto, fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, cilantro, black olives & arugula. Wash it down with a Margarita, beer or seltzer(depending on my mood) & a side salad. You can get a pizza anywhere in this city but this place offers a unique experience that tastes sooo good.

Very friendly staff. I really enjoy their vegan pizzas. Great variety of tasty toppings. The downsides: their online order forms need to be updated because not all menu options are available. On a few occasions, delivery person has forgotten to brings drinks that were ordered.

New favorite place! Pizza is one of my favorite food items and after finding this place, my obsession for pizza has increased substantially. You have two options, either order an item from the menu or create your own pizza, hence custom pizza. I kept it simply and ordered the buffalo pizza. It’s created right in front of you and as it goes down the line you can add or emit whatever toppings you desire. For example, I love a spicy kick to my food but sometimes too spicy makes it hard for me to enjoy my meal. After asking how spicy the buffalo pizza would be they suggested that I not add the sauce which is what makes it extremely spicy. That being said, workers here are great! Extremely friendly and they help you build your pizza. Prices vary, but I’d say you wouldn’t pay more than $ 8.99 for a personalized pizza that holds 8 squares. Place is clean and they even offer hh(margaritas) for $ 3, I believe. P. S. My friend is vegetarian and she was able to enjoy a very delicious veggie pizza as well. How could anyone ever go wrong with a create your own pizza place?!

I go to pharmacy school in Harlem. Why, oh why, wasn’t this place open when I was doing my first two years of didactics?! How many late night study sessions would have benefited from these amazing flatbread pizzas? As it is, I’ve now graduated and my opportunities to come eat here are limited. However when I do I always order the Brooklyn bridge pizza with extra chili pepper flakes. I want to try the other flavor a, but I just can’t bear not to have the Brooklyn bridge. I try to take a friend and talk them into ordering something different so I can try other ones. One of my other favorites is the fig and Gorgonzola cheese one. Simply amazing. Good thing I’m not too far away. UWS stand up!

Absolutely love this place! The only downfall(which there really isn’t any) is that it opened after I finished going to school in Harlem. They need to open a store closer to the east side if they didn’t already. I have never sat to eat at this place. I mostly had people deliver my pizza to me, but from the only time I stopped in and didn’t order, it looked pretty clean and spacious to me. Most of the pizza come on a thin crust in a rectangular shape with about 8 slices that are enough to share or eat yourself! Usually I am not a fan of this thin pizza idea, but this place truly gives it another experience that I love. What to get? The Brooklyn Bridge — omg words can’t even describe how much this combo always hits the spot. It has a great mixture of meats, sausage, pepperoni and some other thin meat. Of course it is also topped off with some basil. YUM.

You’ve likely passed by this establishment and not thought much of it but I tell you now, dear.…you should! It’s not just some lame, kinda’ bodega, shitty pizza. No! It’s fresh ingredients, some even healthy, tasty, perfectly balanced flavors, you can get your ‘gluten-free’ on even! I mean this is GOOD pizza. It’s thin, a bit larger than personal size and just straight up DELICIOUS! It’s not touting to be «New York pizza» or whatever else. It just is what it is and we need to accept it. Just fuckin’ do it, i tell ya! You will NOT be disappointed. Trust.
