Crown Fried Chicken

What a joke. My wife and I stopped by this place. We had tried to order from Seamless/​GrubHub. And an hour later we get an email saying they have no delivery guy. But being the glutton for punishment that I am, I figure I will give them one more chance. No good deed goes unpunished. Two clock hours to get nine pieces of chicken. It better be good…
Ok, the review:
Plus side: Very good fried chicken. We ain’t talkin’ your Southern Meemaw’s good, but very respectable. Nicely seasoned, crisp and hot. No rancid taste from overused oil. On a scale of one to ten, it’s a solid 7, maybe even 8.
Negative side: French fries underdone, limp, barely room temp. And the mashed potatoes, the reason the guy told me it would take a bit of extra time because the «mashed potatoes weren’t quite done», well, frankly they sucked. Cold with cold gloppy gravy. Even a minute in the microwave couldn’t rescue them (they weren’t worthy of any other way of reheating).
But he did give me two free sodas…
I would definitely do pick-​up from Crown Fried Chicken again… but never, ever wait two hours for delivery.
