Crown Fried Chicken

Ive had the chicken before and it was meh but my little brother got a burger from there yesterday and he told me they gave it to him almost right away, he has been throwing up ever since and going in and out the bathroom. I believe he got food poisoning from this place. DO NOT EAT HERE!

Good food, big range of different things to choose from but seems a employee charged me tax for food.

I used to say: «the chicken and fries aren’t the best in the world, but it’s certainly not the worst.» I’m sorry for steering anyone wrong in the neighborhood. They officially have the worst chicken in Inwood. I opted for mashed potatoes this time instead of fries… I don’t know where they came from, but the solid balls of scooped mashed potatoes and «gravy» were unlike any food item I’ve ever tasted. Think chalk mixed with flour mixed with starch.
It doesn’t matter how low the cost is, this place is about as scary as it gets for something you are buying to ingest.

Cheap food that tastes good and is probably most definitely bad for you. Doesn’t get much better than that. Crown Fried Chicken is super super cheap, and the food tastes good, much better than other chain fast food places. The chicken is better than KFC, and the burger is much much better than McDonalds. Just go eat it, it’s good and it’s cheap.

ok. even though I’m giving this place 3 stars… their sweet corn nuggets…(I call them corn poppers cuz I’m from the south…) are to die for. they’re sweet and creamy and deep fried. so amazing. I love them. I’m addicted to them. I’ve eaten 4 packages of them in five days.
their fried chicken… juicy and salty and crispy and great, but not my favorite type of batter… but they’re a-​ok!
the potato munchers… have jalapenos in them. they’re ok too, but not my cup of tea. my partner liked them more than the chicken.
their bbq sauce tastes like arby sauce. it’s not a honey bbq or a mesquite. it’s got a kind of tangy taste that isn’t that great on wings. plus… it’s kind of watery.
but I digress… those corn poppers. get them. only place in new york I’ve had them.

This appears to be the best fast food fried chicken option in the neighborhood, and I have resorted to a late night chicken indulgence here more than once. The chicken is tasty, the prices are good, the hours are late. Who could ask for more?
