Every time I’ve stopped by, the location is closed even though I arrive 15 – 45 min before their scheduled closing times.

Solid after workout smoothies, although generally over priced. The staff often seems irritated that you’re there, and if you make any modifications to the preset menu that irritation grows. Still, I’d rather have the convenience than nothing at all.

Delicious smoothies. Opens early. Friendly staff who remembers my order. Unreasonably expensive though. Guess I need to buy a blender!

My green detox smoothie was okay. The banana and the almond milk were imperceptible. Tasted more kale and ginger(which is good), and water. Very watery.

What a find, right? Green juice in the city. Cold pressed and unpasteurized? Yes! While I’m just a tourist, and who knows, options like this could exist all over the city, my Unilocal searches revealed only a few, so props for offering this kind of service at spots all across the city. That said, the juices here, specifically the three main green juices I sampled, were not great. I’m a bit of a green juice fanatic, so I can say I drink a lot of green juice with no fruit added. These juices trended toward overly bitter and off-tasting. I had a hard time figuring out which juice I wanted to try because many of them had mostly things I wanted with a few weird options added — like the Kale Avocado, which would probably be a lot better without the bell pepper, or the Kale and Baby Spinach that suffered from what seemed to be too much parsley. For $ 15 for a trio of three small juices, the price was fairly high and the flavors didn’t live up. Beyond all this, the juices are treated with Pascalization, a type of pasteurization using pressure instead of heat, which allegedly extends shelf life without killing off nutrients. However it does limit enzymes(which I want from my cold pressed juices — that’s why I go cold press) and anything cold press that’s older than about 4 days makes me nervous. So between the flavors(not great) the price(high) and the added lack of freshness of the juice, I have to say that I’ve experienced much better. I understand it’s tougher to coordinate daily cold-pressing but plenty of juice spots I frequent in Portland manage it, so I bet Creative Juice can.
