The clerks can be pushy (granted, they have at least «play-​tested» the items… though hopefully not the ones you’re buying) and the prices can be high, but if you know what you’re looking for, they’ll have it at the expected price.

Once upon a time, a girl went to Babeland, but what she was looking for was out of stock. So, she girded up her loins (heh heh) and went around the corner to Crazy Fantasy Video (yeah, I know, that should have been her first warning).
Finding something suitable for the occasion, she went to the register and was confronted with a gum-​chewing, cell-​phone talking cashier, who engaged her in the following dialogue:
— «That’s it?»
— «Yep, this is it»
— «You sure? No outfit or anything?»
— «Umm… nope, this is it.»
— «Ok… Well, you wanna know what position is best to use this?»
— «Umm, that’s ok, I’m sure we can figure it out.»
However, the gum-​chewing, cell-​phone talking cashier insisted on loudly regaling our fair maiden with an explanation of just how great this particular item is.
Yikes. There’s a reason we usually go to Babeland.
