If you plan to order a large froyo def beware because this thing is family size. Came here with a friend for post-dinner dessert and would say that my experience was pretty good. I ordered a green tea-vanilla twist froyo and it tasted good – just like your standard green tea-vanilla twist froyo(surprise surprise). The cool thing about this place is that if you order toppings it comes with unlimited toppings, despite the fact that there is limited volume to fit them. The froyo is kinda expensive but given that it’s family size I guess there’s not much you can complain about. My order I recall costed around $ 10, which would buy you two tubs of 4L ice cream at Costco. Then again that’s Costco.

The price is not too nice here at Crazy Bananas. Just a door down, there’s a bakery/café that sells macarons for $ 0.25 cheaper. Now I’ve never tried the macarons from the other place, or from Lauderee,(though I’ve tried the vanilla and chocolate macarons from Bouchon Bakery but now I digress) and I don’t really mind the extra quarter, because man oh man, the pistachio macaron from Crazy Bananas is AMAZING. It’s so creamy, nutty, yummy. It is brilliant green with a top golden sheen. It’s crispy, tasty, sweet but not too sweet, and I can eat 50 of them in one sitting, I swear. Crazy Bananas also has a large variety of other flavors with a rainbow of colors. Some are multi-colored. I’ve also tried the Nutella flavor. It was not as good as the pistachio one, but then as you can already tell, I’m quite biased. Aside from the macarons, I also like the coffee and their BLT. You can hear them frying the bacon inside the kitchen. I work a block away, so I’m going to frequent this place quite often. One of these days, I’ll have to ask the owner why he or she named this cute little place«Crazy Bananas». It’s like naming your kid Chubby Fatty. Crazy Bananas is not for everyone, but I’m definitely a fan.

I had the Taro Bubble Tea, as recommended by the sweet lady behind the counter. I really liked it because it wasn’t too sweet. Some bubble tea shops seem to be ultra-generous with sugar but not at Crazy Banana — and I like it the way it is. This is probably my go-to place for bubble tea if I’m in the area. Yummy!

My friend brought me here. He said that they have the best frozen yogurt… We bought a medium one. With original and blueberry twist.(I think the flavor varies everyday). they might have green tea, pomegranate in other days… 1st topping with additional 80 cents. 2 toppings and above you will only pay 1.40(I forgot how much but it’s definitely worth it if you get more than 2 toppings). First bite of the frozen yogurt. It’s nothing special. tasted like red mango. pink berry. just the same to me. but since my friend told me how good it is. I took another bite and I feel that the frozen yogurt here is more rich than red mango/pink berry and many other froyo places that I have been too. YES! SOTHISISMYFAVFROYOPLACENOW! at least in NYC. :) it tasted as rich as ice cream(well. I am exaggerating but yes they tasted really rich as frozen yogurt) The toppings are not really fresh. I will not recommend you to get their toppings. we went there really late at night and I guess they are running out of toppings. the toppings seems not that fresh to me anymore. I am gonna head to Crazy Banana whenever I am at K Town! Oh! Special thanks to my friend. :)

Tried a couple of times with my friends after getting off from work. The place is small but has a exhaustive menu right from different types of tea, smoothies, frozen curd to energy drinks and juice, they carry it all. I like the bubble tea with lychee flavour which is good and refreshing but not extraordinary. Nesteled in the heart of korea town this place is just average. The server behind the cash counter always gets confused with our orders.

I’m from California, love boba and have rather high expectations for what I think is good(in other words, I am a self-proclaimed boba snob!) This place really didn’t meet any of my expectations. The pearls did not have the correct chewy consistency(they were rather hard and tasted like rubber) and the actual beverage actually tasted like powder. Their frozen yogurt is okay. It’s nothing special and I would go to pinkberry down the street instead in K-town. Crazy Bananas does sell macarons from Macaron Café. Sadly, that was the highlight of my experience there.

With a friend before sadly parting ways, our evening ended on a good note at Crazy Bananas. There is only one server which is inefficient to serve the holdup of a line of four patrons. Surely as things get slow, an eternal queue builds imperative for one server, which conflict arises… Alas, my rating for this review sadly dropped from five stars to four due to the snail modem dial-up service as I was not sprightly overjoyed crazy. My Jasmine Green tea of Kusmi Tea from Paris, France at $ 2.75 was aromatic and served stifling hot. It was served in a generous size mug with a handle. Crazy Bananas is nested in Korea Town which also concocts healthy frozen yogurt, Bubble Tea among other craziness.

I’ve been to the big 3(Pinkberry, Red Mango, 16 Handles) and I love these places as much as the next froyobsessed, but they all have quite a bit of a «corporate» aftertaste. Not Crazy Bananas. This place is a comfy, cozy mom&pop hole-in-the-wall and is definitely the exact opposite of those trendy«sleek and sexy» froyo empires. This was my first experience at Crazy Bananas and it was pretty good, albeit a tad expensive. $ 5 min to use a credit card which is kind of annoying, so of course I had to level up and order the medium. Medium with 2 toppings came to $ 6.48…eek! The variety was a bit limited — only vanilla, mango, or vanilla-mango twist, and it was not self-serve. I was feeling a bit«twisted» so I went with the combo and added slivered almonds and the perennial favorite, rainbow sprinkles. My first bite was very(!) flavorful and refreshing. The slivered almonds added really nice texture, and the rainbow sprinkles just added, ya know… rainbow. Why else do people like sprinkles??? Delicious and hit the spot without making me feel blah at all. Overall I would recommend Crazy Bananas for the occasional frozen treat to mix it up, but I don’t envision myself craving it week after week. Maybe I am more of a 16 Handles type of girl after all…

Bubble tea is overpriced for the taste. The boba is kinda soggy and soft, no bueno. Their bubble teas are good(as in the liquid), boba is bad– sad. Both their matcha milk tea and thai milk tea were yummy, a litttttle too sweet though. They also serve froyo,(might as well go to red mango or pink berry which is a few blocks away) which is around the same price as normal fro yo chains. Macaroons are towards the expensive side, is nothing too special. Cute café though, would stop by for some bakeries of some kind.

Bubble tea, coffee, frozen yogurt. A pleasant combination with a variety of choices, all located in a nice quaint little shop, with unique décor. Definitely an attractive place to go if you’re in the area and want some of the above. The language barrier when placing an order… and receiving the right thing… has interfered with me quite a few times. Hence the 3 star rating. That’s the only reason I won’t rate it higher. For example, I asked for an iced coffee, repeating«iced» 3 times while making eye contact. When I was still given a hot coffee, I knew something wasn’t clicking… but I let it go and didn’t complain… I just needed my damn caffeine fix! But come on, english is the primary language of this country, please at least learn to listen to it when people order. No offense to those non-english speakers, this is a free country.

3.5 stars. Pretty good froyo(similar to pinkberry/red mango/flurt). This place has changed quite a bit, so now they also offer coffee and a variety of pastries in addition to bing soo(shaved ice with toppings), which is one of my favorite summer-time snacks.
