Costumbres Argentinas

looked for this truck today, it was not at the address or visible vicinity. can someone please notify of new address? 5 stars for hopes of an amazing skirt steak sandwich, will adjust later if needed.

During a fine day of January 13^th 2015 I decided to take a pleasent (sarcastic it was 20 degrees with chilling winds) to Costumbres Argentinas. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich $ 9 which came with a potato salad or fries I opted salad. I also ordered a beef empanada $ 3 as well. The entire order took roughly 6 minutes to get done a little bit long for a food truck. I quickly ran back to the office to dine. The skirt steak was bland with no flavor and chewy felt like chuck steak cut the meat had joints in it all over. The potato salad was the same way bland I felt. The beef empanada was however very good I wish I ordered 5 of these instead.

If you’ve ever been to Argentina (or across the Rio de la Plata to that other country) and miss the sandwiches like choripan, entran~a, milanesa as well as empanadas. Costumbres Argentinas is the place for you. The owner Ariel makes a fantastic sandwiches which makes you crave for more. The menu is simple but the execution is perfect. I had the skirt steak (entran~a sandwich with lettuce tomato and chimmichurri (the proper green one-​). The meat was cooked to perfection, tender and perfectly seasoned. The bread was proper fresh, local, Italian bread not some mass produced plastic bag variety. .The ensalada rusa (Argentine potato salad) was heavily and I don’t normally get it, but my wife loves it and I have to admit I will probably get the rusa instead of fries next time.

I must say that I never thought that I would find such delicious food off a truck but to my surprise it was some of the best Argentinian food I’ve had in awhile. Prices and service were great. I will definitely come again!
