I chose this restaurant because of the extensive wine list and the fact that the kitchen stayed open until midnight when I was looking to have an 11:30 dinner. I was very pleasantly surprised by the selection and the quality of the dinner menu. We shared the entrée portion of the beet risotto(which was incredibly delicious although arguably a bit small to be called entrée-sized) and the short rib with polenta which was incredibly tender and flavorful. We enjoyed a nice bottle of 2007 Rioja which was stored properly in the cellar and served slightly chilled. Hope to return soon!

My first experience was awesome. My party and I shared a bunch of plates to get a taste of everything. We had the three cheese appetizer. It was pretty good. We had the scallops(amazing), the skirt steak(melted in my mouth!!!), pasta, duck breast and some really great brussel sprouts. The manager was on point with the wine suggestions. I came back yesterday. I had the great brussel sprouts again as well as the skirt steak. It tasted really charcoally however. The wine was good but I picked it myself. The one suggested I didnt really like. The wines paired with the steak and duck breast I didn’t like either. I have to say the hazelnut ice cream with espresso I had was sooooooo good!!! All in all I really enjoy this restaurant.

After seeing the TV series Uncorked on Esquire Network we had to come try Corkbuzz. We came about 30 min before our reservation to grab a drink. We sat at the bar and were served by a lovely gentleman. We talked to him for about 30 min about his culinary background and his experience thus far in his hunt for the coveted sommelier certification. Really nice guy. He let us try some great wines and told us all about them. We were seated shortly after. We started off with the duck salumi and house ricotta. Both were great, especially the ricotta. Next we got the kale salad(it was very typical, not memorable), the beet salad(liked this, didn’t love it though), the brussels(holy moly, incredible), and the bacon wrapped dates(yum). We got a bottle of white and red at the recommendation of our server(who was also a certified sommelier). Both were very good. Next we ordered the sausage cavatelli and the branzino. The cavatelli was very well made and had a great sauce. The sausage and greens really made it homey tasting and the citrus gave it a great pop. The branzino was also good, with a very crispy outer skin. Overall the food was good, the wine was good, and the place was well done. The service was a bit slow and our server had a bit of a difficult time suggesting a wine. He suggested too many wines and didn’t really lead us to our best choices. Luckily we know what we like and were able to help him guide us. I wouldn’t go running back here bit I would be excited if someone offered to take me.

Go for a wine tasting, stay for the food! I had a delightful octopus last time I was there. Only four stars because they got rid of my favorite item — roasted bone marrow with onion jam and baked Parmesan crisp.

Me and my friend were so excited to come here last night bc the owner is a somm, so we felt like we wouldn’t be let down here. We made it in time to get the muscadet and syrah that were part of the happy hour(4−6pm), each $ 8. A pretty good deal, and both tasted great. My friend got two more glasses and enjoyed both. The servers were very knowledgable and helpful with helping her select the right wine. We also got the cheese plate which included ricotta, blue cheese, and… something else(I forget) – and apricot jam on the side. It came with warm toasted bread with touch of olive oil. The ricotta was amazing. It literally melted in my mouth and had a great flavor. The blue cheese was also great. I’m usually not the biggest fan of blue cheese, but it was creamy and wasn’t too strong. The last cheese was a hard one and also had great flavor. The reason this place got 4⁄5 stars is because the service wasn’t that great. We were first sat on the armchairs because we were waiting for a spot at the bar. However, they didn’t seat us at the bar even when spots opened up(we had to ask again to be moved there). After we ordered our first drinks, no one checked up on us at the armchairs or even after we moved to the bar. We had to ask for menus again(after we moved). And then we had to flag down a server to put in our orders. I’m not sure if other ppl also had this problem(seemed unique to us), but it was slightly frustrating.

My husband and I are big wine lovers. Corebuzz has a great selection but the prices are ridiculous. When I asked the bartender to recommend a glass, he ended up giving me one of the most expensive wines on the menu. When we had a bartender that understood our wine preference and engaged us in the conversation, it makes the blow of the final bill better. We had a few dishes that were just ok but nothing amazing. There are better wine restaurants in the city, in particular Pearl & Ash and Rebelle!

I ordered the kale caeser salad, the chicken entrée, and chocolate cookie«sandwich» for dessert. The appetizer and entrée were decent, but nothing particularly outstanding. The ice cream sandwich was terrible– rock hard cookies, ice cream melted everywhere. I could slapped this together at home myself with chips ahoys and a cheap pint of ice cream. Good wine selection– unsurprising– but ridiculous prices($ 17 for a cheap glass of zinfindel? The bottle goes for $ 35/bottle at the winery and they’re probably getting a bulk discount). Really slow service.

Delicious little quaint wine cellar. I don’t drink alcohol at all, however their menu was quite extensive. I went because I was starving and into good food. So we saw the reviews and gave it a shot. I ordered two small plates. I got the avocado toast and the French toast(I like carbs). Avocado toast: I’m into the whole avocado thing on sour dough. It was SO incredibly fresh tasting between the cucumber, radish and arugula. Small portion, but just right if you’re paring with alcohol. Frenchtoast: cute, another small portion. You know when you eat frenchtoast and feel like a total fat load? It’s very light. Small portions, perfect texture, delicious taste. You also get a side of berries with it. It’s delightful!
