I was sceptical after reading some of the reviews — but this was highly recommended by a friend so I went anyway. This was amazing — portions for small bites were a decent size — the quality of food was exceptional — service was on point. We ordered too much food and it was worth every bite — If you are a small eater the chicken pot pie is enough for dinner — This is a must try —

Really wanted to love this place given cute outdoor seating and promising menu but it is so so average. Service was slow and discombobulated but more importantly, food portions were super small, bland and oily. Got the kale salad and octopus and would never order either again. DRENCHED in oil yet lacking any flavor. Also so small I was still hungry afterward but refused to spend more money on another dish here. Wished I had just gone across the street to reliable meatball shop or Boqueria :(

I ate at this restaurant last night and we were surprised by the menu. My friend literally asked the hostess if this was everything or if there was a section missing. The prices were STEEP but we decided to give it a try even though they were«Small Plates». Little did we know there is no exaggeration on the word small, the short rib was literally a 2X3 inch piece and cost 21 $! The other plates were of similar size and price. The food overall tasted good, and the drinks were great, but the value of the restaurant is totally lost by inadequate portions and being overpriced.

I booked a table for two here and was stood-up by my Tinder date. Mildly embarrassing. The staff of course silently caught on to what had happened, and were kind enough to not only make the wine I’d ordered complimentary, but also offer me an appetizer on the house. Totally unnecessary, but certainly an example of stellar and genuine service that took the edge off a sucky situation. Even though I didn’t get to try as much as I would have liked, the food and drink itself was delicious, so I give them five stars for my experience.

Excellent staff and service. Thats why i didn’t give it one star. Went there for brunch and what a let down. The menu is so limited! I ordered the skirt steak and eggs. It was literally 2 bites of steak and the eggs were severely undercooked. I also got the chocolate brownie which was sooo dry but larger than my children’s portion of steak. Overall, what a waste. Full portion prices for ¼ portions. So many better spots in the neighborhood, won’t be back.

This place was just aight. I don’t see it lasting for the price and small plates compared to the good places nearby. Drinks were basic. Food had taste which is why I didn’t make this a 2.

Came here for date night with the husb and had an enjoyable evening. He’s vegetarian(no eggs or fish either) and there were a couple of(limited) options for him, though the portions weren’t big enough for his 6’4″ self and he had to have a second dinner later. My fish entrée was delicious, the drinks were pretty good and the place was buzzing by the time we were halfway through dinner. Worth another hop through, though I think I’d come here with a group for drinks next time.

Love this place. My wife and I stumbled upon this place just after it opened while searching for a place on 2nd ave for a quick dinner. This has quickly become our favorite place on the UES. Since then, we have been back several times and don’t plan on slowing down. Great place for date night. Not too loud even though the space isn’t very big. Service is always good. The menu is constantly changing(and improving). The plates are smaller and meant for sharing which I prefer. There is a nice bar if you’re just looking for a place to elbow up for a drink or 2. Absolutely no complaints about this place. You won’t be disappointed.

Pretty good place. All the food was good and it is nice inside. I’d make a reservation however since it seems if you dont, you’d be lucky to get a spot on a nice day or in the evening. A little pricey for what you are buying since all the plates are tapas style. You’d have to easily get 5 – 6 dishes to feed 2 people. So you are looking at $ 100 for food. If you dont mind the price, the food is tasty.

Came here on a date not too long ago. It’s extremely close to my apartment so I’ve been hoping to actually come here for awhile. The atmosphere is intimate, with comfortable mood lighting and good space. The staff was friendly(although a manager said we could only be seated if we were finished by a certain time in order to accommodate people with reservations, which I get, but you’re either able to serve us or not man come on) and the food was delicious. Like the other reviews I’ve seen posted here, the plates(think southern comfort food-themed tapas) were a bit pricey given their portions and content, but it was all still good. I also suspect one of the servers may have been high, which is fine, just funny. He complimented me on the length of my name. Go here.

BEST new place in Yorkville. This area has been wanting for a place like this! The food is delicious, service is great, and its got some much-needed hip vibes. The food was BOMB. The gnocchi was stellar – you cannot miss this one.(The restaurant was able to make a vegetarian version for my bf – they just didn’t add the lamb on top). It was so good I wanted to order another. Eggplant meatballs were also really good, this is my other favorite. The sauce was also just really good.(They have them for happy hour too!) The portion is a bit small, however. The whipped ricotta appetizer was also delicious– the ricotta was so fresh and creamy and served with truffle oil. The baby kale salad was actually a standout. Normally salads are generic, but this salad had some excellent veggies(carrots appeared to have been marinated or something), and the dressing was perfect. Even my non-salad eating bf loved it. We also tried the brussel sprout + mushroom dip, which was cheesy and shroomy and delicious. I honestly couldn’t pick a favorite and was delighted that every single dish we tried was a total hit. We will definitely be back, and this might be my new favorite place up here. The service is also really good. Servers are polite and attentive. Update: Came here for dinner tonight and coincided with happy hour! $ 1 oysters and great wine deals. Oysters were nice, and came with a top notch mignonette! The peirogis are also pretty good, but the portion is also small(only 3 large peirogis!)

Not bad but nothing all that ground breaking. Went here for brunch with my boyfriend and ordered the eggs Benedict and the eggs. The plates were small — even for UES standards. The potatoes tasted like they were cooked in truffle oil which probably constituted the price. Decent cocktails, and an extremely large beer list. Wouldn’t go back here for food, maybe for craft beer. Service and staff were nice, but over all the price just didn’t match up with the portions or price.

We were here last Sunday for brunch. It’s an alright space with a very plain interior. I ordered the $ 18.00 pork chops, got 3-small pork medallions drowned with a sweet sticky sauce. Julie got a microscopic«entrée salad». My food was average at best, Julie’s wasn’t worth it and was poor. My main problem was with the server both slow, forgetful and gross. He kept saying he would be back with bread, he never did and we didn’t ever get any. He kept saying he would be back with the rest of our food, I pointed out on more than one occasion that we hadn’t been served any of of our food. I don’t really think he got it. The main problem was he was perspiring big time and kept wiping his face and brow with his hand and then serving customers food. We just couldn’t get over it. We will, for sure, never be back.

This spot was jam packed today for brunch! I’ve been eyeing it and meaning to go but they don’t open until 12pm compared to some other 11am brunch spots. We managed to get a table luckily as a walk-in due to a no-shows reservation(lucky us). Inside has quite the charm, looked like a spot out of the Great Gatsby movie :) I loved it. The attendant, waiters, and servers were awesome and very attentive and friendly. The menu is decent — looks like they might update it seasonally. We had the eggs Benedict and I asked for the pancakes as a replacement to the fresh toast with walnuts and bananas. My dish was quite fulfilling. They come in very small plates and I do believe they are a smaller portion than most other establishments. The berry mimosa was okay, I don’t think it was fresh berries they soaked in it though :(The eggs Benedict were definitely a small portion than the typical english egg muffins, the hollandaise sauce was very good and creamy. Overall for a party of two, with tax and tip it was about $ 50. Decent but we’ll probably visit only seasonally for when they change up the items on the menu a bit. Definitely worth a try! It might be your new go-to brunch spot!

Drinks were delicious, food was awesome! Great stuff to share, but felt like the portions could be slightly larger. You’re going to need a few plates to be full, which isn’t a bad thing since all the food was great! Definitely try the butternut squash dip, and the Old Tom Collins was super refreshing. Will be back to try some more drinks and plates!

I’ve had my eye on the Copper Kettle Kitchen since it opened. I finally gave it a try last week for dinner, and, ultimately, I am very glad I did. Pros: Our server was attentive, but didnt hover. Nice intimate/rustic atmosphere. The food was fantastic. I ordered the butternut squash gnocchi(can get it without mushrooms), and it was absolutely amazing(5⁄5). My friend had the mac and cheese, which she enjoyed(4⁄5). Cons: The portions are TINY!!! Like appetizer tiny. If you are to order from the«Comfort» section on the menu, which is separate from the appetizer section and is the majority of the menu, you should order as you would order tapas. We originally wanted dessert, but we never ended up ordering because we were worried that the portion would be too small. Overall, the food was amazing, and I absolutely plan to go back time and time again for the butternut squash gnocchi, and a few other options, but the CKK should really consider upping their portion size, or begin advertising their«Comfort» section as tapas style.

So happy I walked in here after work. The ambiance is perfect for a date, girls night, dinner with coworkers or a solo dinner! Great staff — AWESOME drinks. I would recommend picking several dishes and sharing for the table. It’s not tapas– but the plates are smaller, so order a few to try. Junglebird was my drink of choice — very happy with it! Shrimp and grits was amazing. Must try the whipped ricotta dip w truffle!

We went for brunch. The menu is small but they allow you to order off the regular menu too. The brunch portions are small for the price. The pork over biscuits was tasty but I needed a side of fries to be satisfied. And for $ 14 I think you should feel satiated with a brunch dish. The table next to us ordered the pancakes and the dish came out with only 2 pancakes. I think they need to adjust their portion size or their prices.

I went here last night for dinner with my wife. I always love trying new spots on the upper east side and this one does not disappoint. Our waiter, Martin, was excellent. When we told him how much we liked the eggplant meatballs and asked what was in them(other than eggplant) because we wanted to try to make them ourselves, he was kind enough to go into the kitchen and ask the chef step by step how they are made. Sorry, I’m not giving out this semi secret recipe. So back to those eggplant meatballs, the texture was pretty similar to meat rather than eggplant. They had lots of flavor and would have been even better if they came with more sauce, but a great dish nonetheless. The gnocchi was fantastic, nice fluffy pillow shaped goodness. If you don’t love nuts, you can easily eat around them and the dish will still rate high in your book. We also had the pirogies. I think those were our favorite. Nice, fresh, moist and hot, but not burn your mouth off hot, and topped with some caramelized onions. The plates are small but most dishes are savory enough to fill you up. Get 1.5 to 2 plates per person and you will be happy. Come on in and give it a try people.
