I first found out about this park while volunteering. I was surprised to see that there are actual skate parks in NYC. As a new skater, I could not contain my excitement. The thing with this skate park is that it gets crowded pretty quickly. More skaters come then leave. If it gets too crowded, you can take a short walk and enjoy the view by the water.

Pretty sweet park, but is almost always crowded especially from like midday onward. Also gotta keep an eye out for the bikers :/

Very large skatepark next to the water. Plenty of ramps and grind rails for everyone. this place can hold lots of people with ample room for you to do tricks or just ride around. Parking on street is limited.

Great skatepark for all ages. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a dedicated skate park. One of the unique features is that the park is directly under the Manhattan Bridge which provides much needed shade in the summer. There are also stores close by for cold drinks and a plethora of Chinese restaurants as the location is in Chinatown. The Freedom Tower is very close by as well. Highly recommend.

What do I know about skate parks, not much, but I know a lil bit. This skate park is situated underneath the Manhattan Bridge and is across from the water(beautiful view in my opinion). The hours are from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. *Whether you came to play, support, or jeer at the people skating better than you, there are plenty of spots/benches to rest your feet inside the park. First thing I noticed was that there is more space for the skaters and bmxers than the Bay Ridge skate park(awesome sauce). I saw one dude on rollerblades, umm yeah but I digress haha. Although it seems crowded, the space seems optimal for noobs and intermediate skaters. The concrete was smooth and there are plenty of spots(rails) to do your ollies, grinds, kickflips, and whatnots(not a real skater lingo). I will definitely take my bro here and see what he has to say. Kudos to NYC Parks & Recreation.

Hubbie loves this place! He’s skated all over LA(mostly street) at random locations like the foundation in Burbank(benches are no longer there) alleys, back of industrial bldgs etc. with his friends. He does go to skate parks(and me and son have watched a few times) Out of all the ones in LA he says this by far tops it all!!! (he likes Noho, Garvanza, Hollenbeck, Lincoln, Stoner and also got to skate Van’s wooden ramp at their headquarters) This place does look fun and its huge! There’s a few a concrete ledges to sit & watch. Oh and saw Dylan Rieder skating(in the Fall)
