One of the better bakeries in the city as far as I’m concerned. Maybe one of the best Black & White cookies I’ve ever had too! There isn’t too much standing room and it’s a great place to stop and pick up some treats for a family dinner.

I can’t believe this doesn’t have any reviews here yet… it is one of the most popular and BEST delis in NYC. Not opinion, consensus according to the world wide web. It is a little pricey, but so is a lot of crap in NYC. After the sticker shock, I got my caprese salad on, and ordered the rainbow cookies. The rainbow cookies… O M G. On point, and perfect. Also ordered some cupcakes because I couldn’t NOT order them, they looked so fabulous. If the cookies are an indicator, I am going to be a very happy lady. I will return soon to try their real food that won’t turn me into a diabetic, though it would be a good way to depart(insert rainbow cookies here).

I was drawn to Clover Deli by its ancient sign. I figured if it can survive NYC this long, it must be a pretty solid business right? I stepped in to try their Italian cookies by pound. I think it is overpriced to be honest. They charge $ 16 a lb for these cookies. The selection is decent but not as good as Veniero’s. I picked a few and they cost $ 8! I definitely feel ripped off. The cookies are pretty good but I can get the same cookies at Whole Foods now for $ 9 a lb!

The only thing I come to Clover Deli for is the ITALIANRAINBOWCOOKIES! MM’MM. You can get a whole handful(~8) of them for about $ 2. I wish this place weren’t so conveniently located(right on 34th and 2nd Ave) because they make it soooo easy to pop right in for a cookie or two.
