I’ve been a fan of Chop’t for years. I go here often and carry out, however their delivery has gone from bad to worse lately. Usually delivery takes about an hour, which is what I expect from them. However, last week I placed an order for delivery on seamless. The estimated delivery window was 45 – 60 mins. About 90 minutes in I called them and they reassured me that the order was on it’s way. 30 minutes later I called again and once again they reassured me that the delivery driver was on his way. Finally 2 hours and 15 mins after I placed my order it arrived. I will not be ordering from them again.

Have been eating out the whole weekend hence decided to give a try on something simple and fresh; chop’t popped up my mind since I always came to this area for either roast kitchen or cosi. A long line at noon so I will remember to come by earlier next time. There are three sections inside the place to split up the line — smart move! As a first timer, I went with their palm beach with shrimp. Less than 300 calories to nail down my lunch! I substituted the balsamic vinaigrette sauce to chipotle which was supposed to be a bit spicier and I liked it a lot. I guess it’s time for me to update my FB status to be — eating like a rabbit!

This is the worst Chop’t! I’m a busy girl but love my salads, so I always order on Seamless for pick-up so I don’t have to wait in line and can scurry back to the office. I’ve been doing this for a year at the Flatiron location and they always had my salad waiting right at the register with a smile. However, it’s a different story at this location. I came to pick up my salad 15 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, and they couldn’t find it anywhere. I was so confused — where did it go? They had no record of my order, so I had to show them the Seamless receipt on my phone. An employee, who I’m assuming was the manager, said they would be right out in 10 minutes with my salad. He finally admitted that the system crashed — very disturbing. It would have been nice of them to apologize and offer me a complimentary beverage or something, but no such luck. In summation: This place tastes the same as other locations and I’ll still come here for lunch since I have a severe addiction to the Mexican Goddess dressing(I’m convinced it has crack in it), but the customer service leaves much to be desired. Go to another location if there’s one nearby!

Amazing selection for lunch, and super friendly staff! There was a long line, but it moved very quickly and seemed to be running efficiently. I will definitely be back!

I really liked this place. Had the Mexican salad with hot chicken… outstanding. Open late for some healthy eats. Staff was friendly and helpful. I wish we had one in St Louis.

This location was very busy and very very long line outside of the store. Line didn’t move in 5 min even for a inch. I went to another location.

I’ve eaten an embarrassingly high amount of lunches here — but that’s just how good it is! Come early to avoid lines, 11am early, or late, after 3pm. Otherwise, Seamless is the way to go! Delicious and creative dressing and salad choices. Certainly worth a try on your lunch break!

I don’t know what happened to this place. I was coming here daily but skipped the last month and ½. I come back, my salad isn’t chopped or mixed well. They didn’t even ask if i wanted salt /pepper. And my salad tasted nasty! This is the first time i experienced a bad salad from them but based on the recent reviews with bugs and sh*t like that, i might need to miss this place and goto roast next door. I would NOT recommend this location.

I ordered a chicken po’boy salad for lunch. It was delicious until I discovered a fly in my salad. This place is very popular and the line is always out the door, very disappointed to have a fly in my salad to ruin my lunch. Beware

I know a lot of people like this spot for lunch, but it’s just ok to me. Nothing really special, just basic salad, and personally, I don’t like the«chop’t» concept of smashing all the items in my salad into baby food. Plus, I hate feeling of being herded through the restaurant in lines when it’s busy. Much better and more unique salads can be found at the French-type Macaron Café nearby.

This place is a lost case if your new to chop’t. The system that’s works well for everyone seems like a rush for a new comer. My second time visiting and it’s all a rush to get you out. I don’t have time to customize my salad because they don’t ask and the workers here are like robots. For someone new, I wouldn’t come back. Salads are suppose to be customized to your liking. By the way they treat you they should pre make them and have them in the freezer.

I’ve been to Chop’t for the first time today. I had similar concept salads before. However, I was not impressed. The salad was saggy and the tomatoes weren’t fresh. Then, when I asked for blue cheese dressing. Well, the guy literally opened the dressing container and dump half of it in the salad… result: the whole thing pretty much tasted like blue cheese, nothing else! I ate half of it and throw the rest… I’m on a blue cheese break since then. I may try it again in the future and I’ll probably make a better choice of dressing but really, this is very far from the chopped salads I tried in the past. If you want to skip the line during week day lunch time, go around 11:30.

I love this place but ordering through seamless has been tough. They have forgotten items from my order 3 plus times and have to send someone back! You would think they would double check after that many times…

This place has a system DOWN. The lines seem long on weekdays because they have the best lunch salads in Manhattan and the business crowd flocks here, but they move super fast. Most days there is a line expediter that directs you to the fastest moving line and keeps things flowing. The salads are amazing, and completely customizable. You can even mix and match your base greens(e.g. Kale & Spinach), or substitute an ingredient(e.g. edamame instead of tomatoes) for no additional charge. If you’re planning to eat-in, there isn’t a lot of space, but most of the customers take their salads to go. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!

Update: 7÷16÷14; Jose, the Regional Manager, immediately contacted me after my 7⁄8 review of Chop’t delivery services. I was impressed by his quick response to turn around the bad service we got for the delivery. True to word we did receive his recommendation of offering us a lunch ticket in hopes for our turn around to be customers again. I will try the delivery again for another big meeting I coordinate and will re-rate. As for now, I will rate a 3 from the response from management. Thank you, Jose

Wow this Chop’t gets SO crowded during lunch time when the corporate crowd makes a beeline for their Chop’t salads! If you can, I’d highly recommend ordering from seamless if you want Chop’t for lunch, otherwise you’ll find yourself standing in line for at least 20 minutes. If you order from seamless, it is just 15 – 20 minutes of prep time, and if you pick it up yourself, you can skip the massive line entirely and go straight to the front to pick up your salad. Every time I’ve ordered from Chop’t, I’ve gotten a fresh well-made salad. It is certainly on the pricey side, but then again, Chop’t has been really successful with its business and pumps out great salads along with an ever-changing seasonal menu. They also have a reward system that gives you $ 10 off your 10th salad, which is worth it if you plan on continually ordering Chop’t!

It’s pretty good, long lines that move fast, and reasonable prices for the neighborhood. There’s some sick vitriol for this place, so much that I feel ashamed carrying a bag from there. Even worse when a fancily addressed female follows me the entire route from register to the elevator, heading to a higher floor — I felt embarrassed. Like a big boy like me shouldn’t be eating a little chopped salad. But why? I’m the same guy who went to see NKOTBSB in concert, rocks homemade t-shirts with intelligent phrases like«I lost my virginity to Jessie Spano,» and has awesome sideburns. Why should I get ashamed about getting a little salad all chopped up so I don’t have to use a knife too? The salads are good, with lots of options and enough food to make me not hungry for a few hours, with good quality stuff. And even with a line just inside the door(as it was a few days ago) I was checked out, food in hand 17 minutes later. Not too bad. So man up, walk in, and order a fancy lady salad. And carry that bag back to your desk with pride, good sir.

A few weeks ago I started a new job uptown and consequently tried this Chopt. Previously, I used to lunch at the location near Union Square, which was closer to my old office. As expected, at about 1:30 pm the line was out the door. It took about 20 minutes, for me to reach the counter. My usual favorite salad was the Mexican Ceasar with the Spa Tex Mex dressing, so I ordered it. To be completely honest, the ingredients just weren’t as fresh and the service was just not as good as at the Union Square location. The topping scoops also seemed a little skimpy. Definitely not a horrible experience, but not as great as I was expecting. I’ll probably go back though(it was still one of the best lunch salads i grabbed in the neighborhood).
