Service is pretty good… The owner is very nice and treats his staff with kindness and respect… The food is good too. Many choices to pick from…

The pizza here is very tasty, but it is very oily so you might want to dab the slice with a napkin before you eat it. The plain slice is 1.50 and slices with toppings are 2.50 or 3.50. The eating area is clean, but there isn’t any bathroom.

I am known for burning the top of my mouth for not letting the pizza cool down first. Here, it barely matters. It’s tasteless anyways. Blech! Skip it and save your dollar.

For $ 1 for a slice of pizza I guess you can’t complain but you can definitely find better slices for $ 1. The pizza here isn’t bad but it also isn’t good. They don’t heat it up for you so it’s barely even warm. It’s flavorless, even with oregano and garlic powder added. It just tastes of dough… the cheese and sauce are barely noticeable to the taste buds.

The best friend chicken I’ve ever had! Seriously. I don’t know how because the place looks disgusting. But try the fried chicken!

The pizza here is pretty bland. The bread on the pizza is probably the best thing. The bathroom is almost never serviced properly and as a result, it ends up smelling like urine and the toilet may not flush. Still, $ 1 pizza is worth buying when you’re low on cheap alternatives.

Perhaps the worst dollar pizza I have had in NYC. Sauce was bland, cheese was so thin you could see through it, and crust was super thin, yet super floppy. Not worth it when there are 2 Bros all around this part of town.

I’m a broke ass student and it’s tough to find cheap eats in the city! They have a pretty awesome $ 1 menu but I’ve only ever had the cheese pizza. To be honest, I’m a little scared to try anything else!!! I think I lived off their pizza for a good week once in the fall. Gets pretty busy when the nearby schools get out. Like PACKED busy. Otherwise, it’s usually very empty with most people just taking the pizza to go. For a buck, I’m a fan.

It was beginning to sprinkle and I was getting hungry. Little did I know that an event as school was being catered(I found out after my meal). I hoped into CF for a quick two slices of cheese. The crispy crust was what did it for me and I knew I should Unilocal about it. Its a no frills experience, but if you’re hungry for a slice of pie/soda/cheesesteak their prices are hard to beat.

One Dollar Slices near the L and F Trains on fourteenth street. The cheese is iffy.

My can of Diet Coke was cold. That, and the fact that I was able to get two slices of «pizza» and a soda for $ 2.75 are the only two positive things I can find to say about this place. That lunch special that seemed too good to be true? It was. My two slices of pizza comfortably fit on a single paper plate – rather small for NY standards. My biggest complaint was that my cheese pizza seemed to be missing the cheese. The sauce was thin and flavorless, the crust was crispy(yay), and the cheese was so lacking that it didn’t pool, stretch, or add flavor to the slice. I tried to remedy this with garlic and parmesan cheese, only to be told that they were out of parmesan cheese. How does a pizza place run out of parmesan cheese? Is it hiding with the mozzerella that was supposed to go on my slice? The next time I am in this neighborhood, I will actually pass the pizza spot and go to McDonalds. Any time I pass up pizza for McDonalds, you might want to keep walking as well!

Although it’s called«Cheesesteak Factory,» it’s best item is pizza – good basic pizza – for which they charge $ 1 per slice. Compares favorably to nearby Pizza 33, charging $ 3 or so. Pleasant tables at the front of the restaurant allow you to watch the people go by.

I think this place got bought or something and is now called Alberts Pizza & Cheesesteak. I’ve never been in here but I’ve ordered for delivery every so often since I’m out of range from 99 miles. Before the new management, they were *decent*…the steaks were solid enough when I craved something greasy and the waffle fries with cheese wiz was delicious. Delivery was quick enough. I was kind of excited when I saw the new name and ordered today with some optimism. Everything was terrible. They had regular fries not waffle, which I can get for like two bucks over at Chelsea Papaya. My can of soda was piss warm. Most disappointing of all was the cheesesteak. The bread was too big and cold. The mushrooms and onions were cold and gross. I’ve learned to splurge the 50 cents extra for double cheese, which they put in a separate plastic cup, it was hard to get out because it was so cold and hardened, they must have those like sitting out. And the meat, oh so gross. It tasted, looked, and smelled like a cross between tuna fish and dogfood. I struggled to eat 4 or 5 bites before it went in the garbage. Incredibly disappointed(if this is in fact Alberts).
