The Central Park«dust bowl» is a field that is roughly a block in size. It is a dog owners paradise. Every morning starting at about 7am dog owners start showing up. This is an ideal place to socialize your puppy or to give your dog excercise while you get to socialize with fellow Upper West Side dog owners!

When the Conservancy began it was a great thing. Today it is a money-hungry organization drunk with power. Quiet zones — ticketing harpists? Fences, fences and more fences! Closed lawns. More rules and regulations for dogs and dog companions than one can comprehend! Enough is enough. I hate to say it but the only way to let them know they’ve gone way over the line is to stop giving them money. Don’t donate and tell your friends and family and anyone who will listen to tell the Conservancy to check the original tenants the park was founded on. They’ve forgotten or been blinded by money. Shame on the Conservancy. The Park was designed to be enjoyed by all the citizenry. They have managed to suck the life out of the fun. I don’t want to see the Park return to the state it was in a few decades back, but the Conservancy reminds me of the Gestapo in little electric vehicles brandishing rakes.
