One of my favorite parks in the world. Situated in the heart of arguably the best city on earth, it’s an oasis from the hustle and bustle. That being said, certain areas are super crowded. The small paths are really enjoyable though. From the Central Park zoo to the Bethesda fountains to the mall and Sheeps meadow, it’s a park with plenty to do. Walk, jog, hike, or take a horse drawn carriage.

Although it’s man made its the best park on the planet to me! There are so many different landmarks within the park. You can spend a day or more visiting each bridge. There are the meadows, waterfalls, lakes, statues. Places to sit and relax escaping the noise. Right now you can get your skis or sled and enjoy the snow. Central Park is one place you can see the four seasons in all their glory. Fall leaves and colors and the spring flowers. You can visit the dairy, ride a carousel, see live shows, concerts, run the park for exercise, bird watch, sail a boat, or take a boat ride. So much to enjoy!

Again, you cannot describe yourself as a New Yorker if you have not visited Central Park — that is not quite enough — Central Park after a storm would be even better! Imagine yourself walking on the fluffy snow, with birds jumping around and sunshine everywhere, I just could not find a better word to describe, other than perfect. It was a bit cold, so remember to bring a pair of snow glove to keep warm. Other than that, bring your smile and be ready to embrace happiness!

We love Central Park. While the park is 823 acres it’s impressive how well it is maintained. This is a gem in Manhattan when you need to get away from the city. There are people walking and running as well as walking dogs. You still have the street cart food every so often which is a good thing. But as usual NYC never seems to disappoint when it comes to this park.

Even a cynic would rate this as a top 3 park in NYC. It’s a wonderful balance of man and nature. Every few blocks has its own distinct character.
