I recently completed an 8-week support group program with Ben at the Center for Loss & Renewal. I went in to this program with a heavy heart of losing both of my parents(3 years ago and 1.5 years ago) and was able to come out of it a lot happier than expected. I am able to live my life again, feel like myself again and feel that sense of freedom I haven’t felt in years(since before my Mom got sick). The support group were non-judgmental, and the best part of it was that I made new friends who were also of young age like me. Ben is caring, calm and kind. This program definitely helped me overcome or manage, my grief with my parents and feel like I can conquer the world again. Thank you Ben!

I participated in a group geared towards helping grieving adults with the loss of a parent. The group was therefore targeted well for me, as I grieve for my mom. Our group of 7 participants was in March/April with Ben Cirlin, at his offices on the UWS. The tone of the group was laid back, non-judgmental and nurturing. Ben is patient and provided direction for us to connect with the fond memories of our parent, even though we’re going through the grieving process. I would recommend taking bereavement group sessions with Ben.
