I don’t even want to give one star. It’s not worth it . The server was terrible. I am not coming back. EVER!

This place gets 5 for service, food, and the view! Stopped by for a drink and what a great find! I had the Cliff Dweller cocktail and the Mighty Servant — both amazing, but equally different. We ordered the the duck kale salad– a wonderful combination of flavors. The grilled cheese was amazing and supposed to be an award winner? It was made with fontina cheese and black truffle butter on country bread. To make it more interesting — it was accompanied by a tomato bisque

Not a bad place to get a midtown priced drink with clientele that like live piano man playing soft music. The view is certainly good, almost romantical but I was with a friend this time. I enjoyed the tinklings of the piano man and a nice hot toddy that was lukewarm but still spiced nicely. My friend had a blackberry bramble that was decent. Most of all we enjoyed the recent holiday light placement in time warner center.

I love this place and it has become a go-to when I have visitors from out of town since the view over Columbus Circle and Central Park is awesome. I have never had an issue getting in here whether I have made a reservation or just stopped by for a quick drink. As others have mentioned, it is «hidden» on the 4th floor of the Time Warner building. I am a fan of the Peacock Tonic and I am told that the Bramble is fantastic as well. Nice place for all occasions, great cocktails and good service(although can be slow at times, but just sit back and enjoy the view!).

This bar is on the top level of the«mall». Level 4. Phillip was friendly at the bar and drinks are good Cocktails are $ 12-$ 18. Their«snacks» they give at the bar are addicting. The wasabi nuts ;) but it makes you want to keep drinking. Smart of their part. Menu looked are those there was really yummy dessert. Didn’t do food, just cocktails so didn’t even look at that menu.

I went here one Friday after work. It was a great environment if you’re looking for something a little bit more laid back. I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was delicious. No complaints! Staff was great, a bit on the euro clock but all in all no complaints!

Came here with a friend for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Has a great view of Columbus Circle and the ambiance was very chill with the jazz piano player. The wait staff was incredibly slow with drinks and food. This may have to do with the fact that there was only 1 waiter for the whole lounge area. We each ordered a glass of rose and the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Food was good, but would probably not come here to eat again because it took such a long time for some cheese between 2 slices of bread and a shot glass of tomato soup.

I have been here several times for casual evening drinks. It’s a nice place with light atmosphere that’s good for drinks with friends. Not very formal and not too casual. Great location. Drinks are overpriced in my opinion; prices are same as you would find in a very upscale bar or club which makes this place slightly low value for money. That’s why I am giving 3 stars otherwise it can be 4

Located on the 4th fl of the Time-Warner Building, it overlooks the huge lobby with views of Columbus Circle and Central Park beyond. It’s comfortable and surprisingly not that noisy. There’s a piano player but it wasn’t overpowering conversations. The price is pretty high for both drinks and snacks. The drinks were good. We ordered the Charcuterie for a snack. The meats were very good. but all it was served with were some baguette slices. Would have expected some olive oil on the bread and definitely a chutney or jam to offset the saltiness of the meats. Even a grainy mustard and cornichons would have been nice. Service while attentive, was bizarre. The waitress delivered my drink, placed it on the table then laid the coaster next to it. I thought she just forgot to move the drink on top of it… but then she brought my friend’s drink and did the same thing. On top of that, there was not a napkin to be found anywhere. A woman an a neighboring table spilled some water on herself and had to get up and walk to the bar to ask for a few paper napkins. When we had out 2nd round of drinks, the manager brought over my friend’s drink and still no napkins. She asked him is it that they don’t have napkins and the manager said of course they do and had the waitress bring a couple over. This kind of service is just surprising to me for what is supposed to be an upscale bar/lounge. With many other choices around, don’t think I will be back soon.

Love this place for an afterwork drink. It is kind of expensive but the view and the ambiance makes it worth it.

Definitely a great place to come and catch up with a friend or if you want to have a classy date. It doesn’t feel like I’m in New York at all, but some classy lounge in Shanghai or something. They have a man playing the piano so it’s awesome ambiance! I love how they give you nuts to nimble on as well. Service was pretty great. The view was awesome! i went there at night so Central Park wasn’t really that visible from where I sat, but Columbus Circle was. The prices are definitely steep… but I’d think it’s worth it.

3.5 stars. Super cute place but the ambiance does come at a steep price of $ 15 – 17 for their cocktails. Wine glasses are $ 9 – 13 and beer isn’t very marked up. it’s located conveniently inside the mall and overlooks the Columbus Circle buildings so it’s a nice place to wind down. There’s also a man playing the piano and the waitstaff is quite courteous.

I live in the area and never gave this place a shot because I thought it would be too pricey. I normally go to the Bouchon Bakery as a pre-theater drink and meal and leave unimpressed(and Bouchon has a B rating). I went to center bar and was treated so well. That extra flight of stairs is worth it for a guaranteed great view of columbus circle, live music, and over 40 different types of cocktails. I was so pleased by our waitress and her suggestions and although we didn’t try any food, it is on our list for next time. The drinks came with a tray of peanuts, pretzels and wasabi peas which was also nice. Oh and we also had a great view of men changing shirts in Armani Exchange if you are into that sort of thing!

Great view. But my server(ashtia?) obviously hated her job and took it out on me. We came in for a glass of wine and a coffee– it was not busy. She gave me the wrong credit card receipts to sign, no big deal… mistakes happen… but when I pointed it out to her, and asked for a copy of my receipt to sign she got very angry and power gamey at the table. Tried to make a point instead of providing good customer service. Disappointing. I tipped 15%, which is the lowest I ever would, even in the most dire of circumstances. I don’t care if you hate your job– it’s never a good look to vomit that all over a guest. I was having a very long day and did not need that.

First things first! Brian the bartender is super amazing! Very personable and made us feel at home on a totally different coast. Drinks are standard for NY, 14 $ a glass of Pinot. The wine was good and the glasses were well filled. The scene is pretty swanky which is expected for this part of town. I will be back next time I’m in town. They take cash and credit Cheers!

Good spot. My brothers got my finance and I a gift certificate here for Christmas. We came here after seeing a Sunday matinée. Great cocktail option in Hell’s Kitchen. The bar is on the 4th floor of the Time Warner building with an almost eye level view of the Columbus statue. We got there just before 6:00pm on Sunday. We had a reservation for 6 and it was empty when we got there but within the next half hour the majority of tables were filled. If you have plans to go I would recommend making a reservation. There was only one waitress and what looked like 3 bar tenders but it took forever to get drinks. We had 2 drinks each and split a sandwich over the course of an hour and a half but there was no way we could have ordered any more. That is my only complaint. I ordered the Peacock Tonic and a blackberry gin drink that was more like a slushy than a cocktail. I highly recommend the Peacock Tonic for those who like a refreshing cocktail without it being too sweet. The blackberry drink(the Bramble?) was just ok. My fiancé the Bow Street Special and second drink we cannot remember the name of but is a spicy whiskey drink. He recommends the Bow Street Special. We also ordered a grilled cheese which was pretty great. Served with chips, a fig dip, and a very small tomato soup. It was the perfect dish to tie us over to dinner. Overall — it was a nice cocktail bar with good drinks, ok service(not the waitresses fault) and a good grilled cheese. I’d go back. It’s a good place to keep in mind when in the area.

Awesome spot I stumbled upon in Columbus Circle. My friend was having a really bad day so we spent a good amount of time ordering drinks and bites to comfort her mild breakdown. The absolute best thing to try here are the olives stuffed with wasabi caviar. I dislike olives, caviar, & wasabi but these three tango well and make one awesome threesome. The fois gras here is a miss — its fruity and the bread tastes like texas toast. Not a fan of the jelly on top of the fois gras either. If you meet a bartender named Michael(particularly Michael with a Y), you must ask for his signature drinks off the menu. They are amazing. However, if you do choose an item off the menu they are all good. The drinks are well mixed and tasty. On par with any of the speakeasies in Manhattan. A seriously underrated spot. Thanks Michael with a Y!

Hello NYC!!! You must take the time to discover this gem. The wine list is surpurb, great small plate choices and one of the best views of Central Park and 59th street meeting Columbus Circle. Great place for a pre theatre drink and bite or a place for a romantic rendezvous. But don’t worry also very comfortable on your own. A perfect NY spot!

I went to Center Bar the other night with a colleague to have a drink and talk shop. It seems a bit odd at first to have a bar in the middle of a walkway in a mall, especially when you are sandwiched between Masa and Per Se. That said, the furniture and décor were very upscale and after a while it seemed pretty normal. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately at a table overlooking the city and Columbus Circle. This would be a good date spot table, IMO. We ordered drinks, which came quickly and since we were catching up and chatting, we took forever to get through our drinks, but our server never came by to bug us about another round or if we wanted food, or did we need anything else. However, the people there were quick to refill our waters, so it wasn’t like we were being ignored. It was very nice to be able to sit and enjoy a drink, have conversation and not be rushed and pressured by the staff. I definitely recommend this place if you are meeting someone after work for a drink or for a business meeting.
