I go to lunch here at least twice a week since it’s so close to my office. I’m sure everyone’s experiences can vary depending on what you order, but since I stick with the soup and pastas, I can say I’ve always been really happy with it. The staff are always super nice, and their pesto is great.

A variety of options but food is very sub-par… the customer service is horrible. They were very rude. I have been a few times, as it is near to my work building, and continue to be disappointed. I would not recommend trying this spot.

I usually come here for breakfast once a week. As standard as a café/deli comes. There is an entrance from the Concourse so you don’t even have to step outside if your building is connected to the Rockefeller Concourse. I like to go to the grill for breakfast and ask for a sausage egg and cheese with a hash brown patty inside. Bet you didn’t think of that huh? There is also outdoor seating here, so if you’re feeling the sun, that is an option too.

Absolutely a dream the first time I went in this convenient theater district location.; every time since then though, this particular location has gone down hill… but, the city is practically littered with them so stroll in and get a quesadilla or something. I dnno, I’m let down often now that they exploded across the city.

This location of Café Metro is conveniently located in rockefeller center, but can also be reached outside the concourse. There’s outdoor seating and a small section of tables in the front and back of this location. The inside seating is always full during the lunch rush FYI. Café Metro has a little bit of everything, which I like because you can eat here every day and get something different on the menu. The prices are reasonable(this is NYC we’re talking about) so you’ll average around $ 10 for lunch including your drink. They have fresh chopped salads, a good selection of soups, sandwiches, individual pizzas, quesadillas, and pasta/rice bowls. My favorite item on their menu is the chicken parm sandwich, which is roughly $ 8. It’s a large sandwich, and sometimes I save half of it for dinner or lunch the following day. They make the sandwiches fresh in front of you so you can find comfort in knowing your food hasn’t been sitting under a heat lamp all day! This Café Metro is very clean, the staff are friendly and quick, and the food is always the same. I wish they offered lunch combos!

Pretty good if you want a quick bowl of pasta or salad. My first time going I got a pretty pleasant guy cooking at the pasta bar. On my most recent visit not so much. I explained to him that I meant crushed red pepper and not the huge slices of them he threw in. He not only didn’t make a move to take them out. But once someone else took over and put some crushed pepper in asked if that was«Good Enough?» Suffice to say I don’t plan on going back for a while

This location is hidden down the steps, next door to some fitness center. Its like a cafeteria where you order at the food station, and then bring it to the cashier to ring up. We arrived at 10:00 am, and they were wrapping up the breakfast shift. I got the 2 eggs on a roll, and a coffee. There’s plenty of coffee to pick from, and its self serve. They also have an Espresso counter if you want something stronger and fancier. They have wraps, sandwiches, salads, and platters, which I am sure is great for a quick meal. There’s a small indoor seating and decent outdoor seating, which is probably nice on a sunny day.

Yikes :( Tried the tikka masala quinoa bowl — flavor was all tomato. they put so much tomato sauce in it that it gets soggy and disgusting to eat Tried the chicken salad — grilled chicken is so bland that you can taste it even with dressing in it Don’t recommend this place unless you’re getting soup or sandwiches or something.

Pretty disappointed with my morning visit for a bite to eat here. It was pretty empty and yet the guy working the grill was rude and burnt my eggs. I was certainly displeased with that. It was nice enough to sit outside which the space feels cluttered Somewhere i’d pass on or just take my order to go if I thought it was worth risking eating burnt food.

We eat lunch here almost every other day. The service is good, and the salads are pretty big and tasty. One time they took over an hour for our food to arrive, I called the restaurant and the manager apologized because our order has not been processed correctly. She offered us free dessert the next time we ordered food. That was a nice gesture. Other that that one time, they have gotten our orders right the other hundred times we ordered from here.

My friends and I dropped by this place a few weeks ago to grab a quick lunch before catching our Broadway Show. It was pretty average. My friends had a couple slices of different pizzas from here while I opted for the fresh made Chicken Caesar Salad. The salad portion was pretty huge with loads of chicken that kept me full for hours. I guess if you’re in a rush and want a quick bite you can drop by this place if it’s along the way.

The quinoa bowls are so good! I have tried both The Tango and King Creole and loved them both. If you like it a little spicy, then you’ll love King Creole, otherwise try The Tango. For $ 9.99, the food is hot, the portion is big and there is a lot of meat! What’s more: fast service and friendly staff, I can eat my work lunch here all week!

This review/rating is for their breakfast only. I come here for breakfast a few times a week getting either a ham & egg or sausage & egg sandwich. The breakfast sandwiches are made fresh to order with fresh ingredients. Not the best I’ve had but better than average. As for the lunches, I find the hot lunches are fresher and have more flavor but a little expensive for the portion size. Cold lunches lack any flavor and ingredients don’t seem fresh to me. I would rate their lunch menu at maybe 2 stars only.

The line was fairly short, I had 4 people ahead of me; even then, it took me 10 minutes to get my salad. The woman making my salad calls me up as I was the next one in line. As I get up there, she turns to her coworker and starts talking, finally realizing, I am there waiting starts to make my salad. That was my first problem, I dont have the time to wait for her to socialize, as I barely have time for my lunch as it is. When I open my salad, I realize a lot of my arugula is wilted, as I’m throwing out a lot of the arugula and picking through my salad, I realize there are brussel sprouts… I never asked for brussel sprouts in my salad, it was pretty bad, soggy. and I ended up throwing out half of it. Needless to say — I’m not coming back to pay the amount I did for crappy salad.

I find Café Metro to be a mockery of lunch fare. Nothing is particular good here, yet all over priced. Everything has a bland flavor to it, and I have felt unsatisfied after every meal I’ve had here. DON’T order the pizza! I had specifically ordered the margerhita, expecting it to be different from the cheese pizza option. But once I got it, it was just… the cheese pizza. What a mockery. I asked for a refund(which they gave me a hard time about) and I haven’t looked back. There are plenty of other places to eat for lunch where you won’t feel like you are being robbed in exchange for mediocre food.

I only get their hot food-platters. The salmon, chicken and others have been on point. The veggies are pretty nice, too. They’re pricey, but they’re underground at Rockefeller Center, and also convenient if you work in the area and need hot food fast. Despite long lines, the employees are very efficient. They’ll get you in and out. Customer service is fine; they often don’t have time for chitchat during a lunch rush. The place is clean and they have tons of outdoor seating in the warmer months.

Although I truly abhor midtown cafeteria eateries, I don’t mind this Café Metro location. The crew is pretty nice, which also influences my decision to come here. A random craving for fettuccine Alfredo led me to stop by. I found the Alfredo sauce a bit too garlicky, but other than that it hit the spot. The pasta bar is well stocked, with a few fun combos to try. Everything else is your typical midtown lunch fare– salads, sandwiches, etc. Excellent location in the Rockefeller Center concourse; easy to access from underground, which is helpful on inclement weather days.

I met a friend here for coffee, and then lingered afterwards to do work. The coffee is self-serve; you just need to purchase the cup. I’m a huge fan of this because I can tailor the coffee just the way I like it. And I don’t feel guilty going up for multiple cups. The only downside to this place is that there are no outlets in the walls if you wanted to camp here for a few hours with your laptop. Other than that, this place is a great little chain.

Pretty in love with this place. Stopped in on the suggestion if a friend and I wast disappointed. I went with the chicken cacciatore and half a sandwich combo. The soup was delicious. But bites of chicken, mushrooms and tomatoes(which I don’t like) but it was still good. The sandwich was the chicken Vera Cruz wrap and it was also good. The only thing it lacked was a dressing of some sort. Ranch would be a good pair. Or salsa. Fast, filling and affordable. This location is a block from my office which makes it ideal.
